I love PF Chang's! I especially love their sea bass, but I took the wife for happy hour/dinner and their happy hour menu was awesome! There is a great selection of food and drinks at great prices! We got there on a Friday evening and sat at the bar. I have to compliment our bartenders, Brandon and Brandon who we're very attentive and continually checked in on us (and our food) and asked to refill our drinks when they saw we were getting low. I think we ordered most of the items on the happy hour menu; the obligatory lettuce wraps, king pao chicken street tacos, Hunan dragon wings, California roll, cecilia's dumplings and egg rolls. Everything was delicious, but be warned that the wings are very hot and spicy! The street tacos have a kick to them as well. I still enjoy P.F. Chang's. It's been in Augusta for a while now. The menu has changed a few times. They've added sushi and changed the dessert options since my last review. During my visit I had the Bang Bang Shrimp and Edamame. I used to forgo the Bang Bang Shrimp because I thought it was too spicy, but now I enjoy it. I also had a few desserts during this visit. I had the ice cream and Berry Shortcake. I typically love chocolate, but the Chocolate Cake was way too large for me. My friend had the Banana Spring Rolls, which she enjoyed. Oddly they gave us the duck spoons usually used for soup for our desserts. It's cute, but not the best choice for desserts. Overall, great service. Our waiter was nice and patient. He came to check on us at just the right time and even let us linger a bit. Always on the list of go-to spots in my book. read more

P.F. Chang's was a trendy place to eat in 2010 and that's the height of compliment I can give this chain. They should take the sweet and sour chicken off the menu. It tasted like vegetable oil and flour paste. I honestly think they microwaved their grocery store product and slapped an $18 price tag on it. If you want Chinese food with real flavor, take your P.F. Chang's budget and purchase a feast from the family owned joint down the road. read more

I placed a catering order for a work meeting at Tuscany Italian Day Spa. The order was for 25 people and arrived hot and on time, there was more than enough food to go around. Everyone was really pleased with the quality and variety of the food. Iván was very friendly and professional setting up the trays of food to be served. My family and I enjoy P.F. Chang's. It was on a Sunday at 5:15 pm. The hostess said it was a 30 minute wait for 2 people. When I asked why it was explained to me they just finished a huge rush. After 45 minutes, I left the mall to check on the status. A group came in as I was waiting for the hostess to show up front. They told me they waited for an hour and there was only 3 servers for the whole restaurant. If the hostess explained this at the beginning I would have chosen a different restaurant right then. After wasting my time and an hour later not being seated; we left. This is a management and training issue. Management failed to get the appropriate amount of employees. Then failed at training the hostess to give factual updates to their customers. P.F. Chang's left me disappointed and unsatisfied because there was 17 open tables with no customers or staff. read more

Never eating here again. Ordered a salad for an entree, Took 35 minutes. They brought the wrong salad. Had to use the menu to prove that they brought the wrong salad. Waited thirty more minutes for the correct salad but it never came. How long does it take to make a salad? Left after an hour and 15 minutes without eating. Manager could care less. read more

I am posting this review again after P F Chang had it removed. This shows you their tactics. Rather than trying to please customers, they fight to have factual reviews removed so you don't know the truth. I went with a few friends for dinner at the Augusta, GA P F Chang. Waiter came, brought menus, and took our drink order. I was super happy they had Pabst Blue Ribbon as a choice of beer, so it started off right. After taking a few drinks from my beer, I got up to use the can, when I returned, my beer was gone (it had plenty of beer left in it, but to be fair it was about half which is plenty to me. It took a good ten minutes before the waiter came back (which would have been fine if they left my beer as I was still drinking it). He said he took the bottle because it was empty and I I told him that there was still beer in my bottle. Essentially it boiled down to him saying I had to pay for another beer even though my first one wasn't empty. I argued the point and he seamed to capitulate. I got another beer and continued on. The food came and we all shared our food so we could try some of the other dishes. The food was good, but nothing really special. Got the bill, and sure enough he charged me for the second beer since he took away the first one. I really should have pushed it, but I didn't think it was worth the effort. If you want a better dining experience, rent a movie, buy your favorite beer at the store, get a "to go" box from a local buffet and take it home. 1/3 the price of P F Chang and three times better experience. read more

Great Mother's Day service. We sat out on the patio. I recommend trying the patio out. It felt lovely with the fresh air. Same food as always but it was wonderful to sip a glass of cold Saki, people watch and enjoy the breeze. The sun won't even bother you, they have large pull down shades to filter the sunlight. I love P.F. Chang's and eat here a good bit. Every time I've been here the service has been great and the food as well. Their crispy green beans appetizer is delicious, and honestly the main reason I come here instead of just ordering Chinese food to go from a different establishment. I used to always order their Hokkien street noodles for my entree and that was another big reason I eat here, but they've since changed the recipe and it doesn't taste as good anymore. That being said, their shrimp entrees and honey chicken entrees are delicious, so I will continue to come back. It gets 4 stars instead of 5 simply because they changed the recipe of my favorite dish, so I no longer love this restaurant as much as I did. read more

Always love the food here. We had the lettuce wraps that never fail to satisfy, chicken satays, and pork street tacos. Always good and happy hour prices before 7. We also had an Asian pear mojito that was delicious. It is actually lime rum, muddled mint, simple syrup, Apple pucker, and a splash of soda. I amazingly tastes like pear. Gotta get another one soon. Went early on a Friday night. My husband and I were celebrating our tenth anniversary. We asked for a booth, were met with resistance as the booth needed to be cleaned and there were other tables available. The place was not filing up yet. We didn't mind waiting, mentioned it was our anniversary, but still had to practically beg. The anniversary comment was un-acknowledged. Our waiter was very extremely unattentative. You'd think that in an upscale, expensive restaurant the waitstaff would be trained better. He made our experience a bad one. Eaten here several times. Food is always good and the service has always been on point. One time they messed up and had us wait for almost 30minutes - before we even thought about asking for anything, the manager offered us 3 free appetizers. 1.  Location--inside the parking lot area of the Augusta Mall. The outside has a large horse statue and it is across from the Apple store and Barnes and Noble. 2.  Payment method--Cash and Credit Card. Discounts available. 3.  Staff--what you would expect at a restaurant. College aged waiters and waitresses dressed in their all black PF Chang uniforms. 4.  Taste/quality--I studied the menu for about five minutes. Being that this is a "Chinese" restaurant, I would expect Chinese food. However, I saw Pad Thai--which is Thai. Um, okay? Anyway, I ordered the Kung Pao chicken with brown rice and it was pretty good. Before they brought my food, the waiter brought me a platter that had three sauces on it: spicy hot sauce, sweet soy sauce, and a spicy horse radish/mustard sauce. Once my food arrived, the first thing I noticed was the small portions. I received a very small bowl of brown rice and about 12 little nuggets of chicken. I first tasted the chicken without the sauce. It was tastee. Then I tried the chicken with each one of the sauces. I enjoyed the soy sauce the most, the hot sauce second, and the mustard sauce the least. 5.  Cleanliness--The place was pretty clean. It was nicely decorated inside, however, it seemed a little on the "dark" side. Overall:   I thought the food was a bit expensive. The total cost for my meal was $16 and the portions were small. For less than $10.00, I could go to a regular Chinese fast food restaurant, get more food, and a small drink for less than PF Changs. Would I come again? Even though the food was good, maybe for a special occasion, but definitely not anytime soon. read more

I went on a busy night and had a seat at the bar. The bartender was pleasant and offered great drink suggestions. I opted to order the pot stickers and the kaleidoscope roll. The roll was perfectly fresh covered in a sweet and tangy sauce. The pot stickers were average. I recommend the Chilean Sea Bass or the Cantonese Style Lemon Chicken for the entree! Worst experience yet. Haven't been a huge fan since the lunch portion went to 1/2 the size for almost double the price, but my last visit was atrocious. First of all for the price you pay, you could do some maintenance to the whole restaurant! Sat down in a booth, needed the springs redone in so badly the table top was at chin level for everyone. The restroom doors haven't been cleaned correctly, so you can see where everyone touched it for years. The right sink was running Ave there was a piece of receipt paper with, not working written on it, soaking wet laying next to it. Then there's the ordering and receiving of the food. Ordered a sushi roll, requested NO AVOCADO. 3 Times we sent it back before it was right??? 2 of us ordered our food with brown rice, and when it arrived all the sites were severed with white rice. When we asked about the rice we were told they don't have any? We asked could some be made? Since our dishes were lukewarm at best when they arrived, we requested they be recooked and sent with the right rice. BIG MISTAKE!!! The"new rice" was done wrong?? In a Chinese restaurant? So it never came. Over a hour later we asked for our food to be boxed to go! We were served the same old food, with white rice and only one dish was taken off the bill? This well designed and themed P.F. Chang's chain puts a spin on formal casual Chinese dining that removes the buffet style delivery giving you a more-for-your-money feel. I have been to a few locations across the states and they all look the same, down to the wall art and horses in the front. The menu draws from all the Chinese regions/cooking styles. - Diverse Asian menu with American influence. - Reasonably priced. - Young diners. - Vegetarian friendly and a gluten-free menu. - Very crowded and noisy with long waits. The food and service is decent at a reasonable price but most visitors are pulled in by the themed decor. You feel pulled into a world not often viewable, especially in the South. The guarded entrance and 11th century warriors add an ancient feel, reinforced by the colossal murals the depict life in Imperial China. The appetizers range from $4.95-$7.95, entrees are around $7.50-$12.95 at lunch with desserts as cheap as $5.25. On my visit I found some new items on the menu, giving a sigh of relief that they are starting to rotate in some new choices. I was not impressed with the service at the location which is particularly slow and lacking food knowledge. I ordered the double pan fried noodles with pork ($9.95) and flaming red wontons ($6.95) that both lacked flavor and tasted overwhelmingly like vinegar. Not P.F. Best thing about this place is the ambience. Dim lighting, candle light, Chinese decorations, and light music. The food is pretty mediocre though, especially considering the ridiculous pricing. I ordered Chang's Spicy Chicken ($15.25), vegetable lettuce wraps ($9.25), and Chang's Lobster rice ($17.25). The spicy chicken was about the same quantity and quality as something equivalent from Panda Express. The lobster rice was ok, but nothing particularly special. Only small pieces of lobster and the majority was just fried rice. For $17.25 I was expecting something awesome. The vegetable wrap was too salty. Overall, a decent experience but next time I think I will stick with Panda Express. read more

I would only recommend this place if you happen to be trapped outside of the Augusta mall and can't get into The Chop House. Why anyone in this city would even think that it was an "upscale" restaurant is beyond me. I would go as far as to recommend a long stay in a warm padded room. Ultimately, it gets two stars because the wait staff is beyond friendly. Seating was almost immediate and the "first time" walk through, which was provided by the hostess, (a first for me, as hostesses generally serve as eye-candy for single, lonely men like myself,) was pretty impressive. She managed to set the tone. Unfortunately, she couldn't save the food. When we were able to sift through the four oversized pages of instructions, (the menu,) my guest and I took the server's suggestion to order two different items so that we could share. Great advice, save for the fact that we both left hungry. When I hear the words "family style" I tend to think of plates filled to the edges with food. Apparently, this idea was lost on the people of P. F. Chang's. "Family style" allegedly means family of people with very small stomachs. I don't take points away for time to get food from the kitchen, (which was about 10 minutes from order to appetizer, then another 10 from appetizer to meal,) nor do I add on for "ambiance." Two stars is more than generous. Don't bother with this place. Any all-you-can-eat Chinese buffet would be more than happy to have you in place of this third rate Chinese bistro knock-off, especially the one in the plaza across the road. read more

We decided to travel to Augusta to visit Chang's as the food is always good. As soon as we arrived and asked the hostess to be seated in a booth...she responded with " I don't have servers for booths at this time". Meanwhile, there were people seated at different booths. Once we were seated in the middle of the dinning room, other people that arrived were seated in the booth area! That was within 2-3 minutes after seating us down. I came here with a suspicious opinion given that this was my first time coming. I ordered the chicken egg roles and was blown away by the smell alone. It tasted like heaven wrapped into a crispy flakey shell. Next I ordered the orange peel chicken which was just the right amount of flavor. Everything started out great- we arrived around 4:30, the restaurant wasn't crowded, we were seated immediately and a server took our drink orders and appetizer order quickly. Things were all downhill from there. The appetizer arrived but no drink. Appetizer eaten, still no drink. I was about to go to look for our server when I saw him coming with my margarita- he apologized and said he couldn't find the bartender, which sounded odd to me. After about 20 minutes our server came by, apologized that our orders weren't ready yet and said they were working on it- that seemed strange because there were only 7-8 tables with customers in the entire place another 10 minutes. I asked for another margarita and... waited, and waited, and.... after another 10 minutes he brought out my meal and said my wife's would be out in just a few minutes. We had been there for 45 minutes by this time so I said I'd share with my wife until hers arrived- one bite and I couldn't eat any more. It was luke-warm and tasted as though it had been sitting on the counter for some time. When the server came by I asked him to please heat it up or microwave it or something, it was nearly cold. This was really weird because I ordered the Monday night special, mongolian beef- nothing special. Our server came back in 5 minutes with another plate and my wife's still wasn't done. At that point my wife went to the front to ask for the manager. I waited and waited for her (second drink order still hadn't been brought out) and finally had enough. I went to the front and ask what was going on, it turned out they couldn't find the manager. That was enough for me, I said pay them for the drink and let's go. My wife waited for the manager, however, and detailed what had happened. I have no idea what's going on at that place but after reading some of the reviews on yelp and google our experience seems like a trend that's started fairly recently. I'd suspect a change in ownership or managers, but whatever it is needs to be fixed. I've eaten at several PF Changs and have never seen one like this. read more

The food was a 5, I'll start with that. But the terrible hostess is why my review is so low. When we walked in tonight, we immediately regretted it. I have a newborn and we were pushing him in his stroller. Instead of greeting us the hostess working on December 21st at around 4-5, decided to look at us and go "Um you can leave that stroller here" in a snobby and rude tone. I kindly told her that we couldn't. I get that there has to be a certain allowed space around tables for services to get through, but no one was there! We could easily sit in the back away from everyone. She proceeded to say "ugh okay whatever put them all the way in the back." Not really the way you want to be talked to when spending 100+ dollars on dinner. I truly hope she either gets fired or re-trained. read more

ok, here I go! Went for Mother's Day dinner with my daughter and young Granddaughter. We were seated right away as we had a reservation. Didn't really need one because restaurant wasn't busy. We ordered right away as we knew what we wanted. My daughter's salad and entree came out quickly as did my granddaughter's soup. Then we waited...and waited...and waited for my Granddaughter's kids lo-mein (simple dish...right?) and my sweet and sour chicken. My daughter finished her food and cocktail and ours was still not out. 45 minutes goes by still no food or service. My granddaughter is hungry and very fussy. At this point I ask for the bill and cancelled the two meals. I took my credit card to the counter to pay because God knows how long that would have taken at the table. They did apologize and give a discount off my daughter's food. Thanks for that. Oh did I mention the GROSS DIRTY STICKY TABLE. The whole restaurant was gross. I will never be back. My wife and I stopped in a couple weeks ago for a nice dinner out. Unfortunately we didn't even get to have a meal. After we were seated, nobody came to our table for the first 15 minutes. So by the time our waitress showed up, we not only gave her our drink order, but also our food order. Thirty minutes later I'm having to flag her down, so I could ask for another drink, as she had not bothered to stop in again after dropping off the first round. Twenty more minutes pass, when we simply say this is too much. I get up and tell the hostess that we'll just take our meal to go, as the service is anything but service. I explain that we'd already been there over an hour, and we can't get our server to even acknowledge us. A manager then comes to address me, and tells me he will personally see to it that our order is bagged up. After standing there for 20 more minutes, I leave my phone number and walk out. He calls as I'm driving away, and says he'll meet me at the door with my food. I drive around to the front, he's not there. So I walk inside and they have no idea where he is, nor anything about where our food is. I decide I've had enough, so we leave. I get a call from him later, asking for our address, so he can send us gift cards. A day or two later I receive another call from someone else, asking for our address again, where she explains that the MGR wants to send us gift cards. Well it's been roughly about three weeks now, and we have yet to hear from them again. It's unfortunate when you get bad service from the server, it's even worse when the management can't even follow through, to mitigate the situation. read more

My husband decided to treat me and my 2 ladies (2,4) to dinner tonight. We had a reservation and were seated very quickly. After that....it took 20 minutes to get our drinks (they were also out of sake, which is odd, but ok). Because of COVID, we are separated, so I'm not sure how many tables my servers had, but the service was lackluster at best. The food was prompt, once the order was in. I ordered ramen....I was already wary of doing so w a chain restaurant, but I love Ramen, so I went with it. My bowl came out and it looked incredibly soupy, but I dug in for the noodles. Ramen is meant to be slurped up, with LONG noodles. Everything in my bowl was an inch long, having to use a spoon to find the noodles. I sent it back and didn't ask for anything additional. We had several other dishes....beef and broccoli (the ginger was over powering) and the fried rice was lack luster. We also had one of their sushi rolls that I would never recommend, and had the calamari/veggie tempura....which was nothing but grease. The shrimp w lobster sauce was the only dish worth eating. We, my husband and I, have gone to pf changs several times as the atmosphere is great,, hoping for a good experience, but each time....we leave disappointed. I haven't been here in about a year so it seemed time for a revisit, plus we were at the mall and hungry. I had the ahi poke bowl, and my husband had the spicy chicken soup (which we were warned serves 6 so we had plenty to take home) and also an order of lettuce wraps. I tried one of their non-alcoholic drinks, the coconut cooler, which was delicious. Side note-I wish more places would offer non-alcoholic specialty drinks. Just because I'm pregnant doesn't mean I only want to be able to choose between soda, tea, lemonade or water. My poke bowl was delicious but a bit confusing to eat. It had big wonton chips on the side so I tried to eat it like chips and dip but the seaweed salad made it a bit difficult. In any case, it was very tasty and my husband said his soup was really good. Our server, Chris, was an absolute delight and warm, friendly and took excellent care of us.
