I've only lived in Queen Anne for about a month now and this is my go-to spot all the time. While I am from the Bay Area and I'm very particular about my sports teams (Go Giants!), the regulars and bartenders at Ozzie's have welcomed me with open arms. Most friends I have now in the area were met at Ozzies. Few standout staff members are: Brian, Corey, Bryant, Amy, John, and Sydney. Ozzie's always reminds me of the place from CHEERS where everyone knows each other and people practically live there. Came for a girls night doing karaoke, which went great! Once we finished we went on to the other side of the bar for some dancing. Walking into that side of the bar was like walking into a frat house. Dirty, smelly, obnoxious bros and stuck up chicks. I've never been in a bar where there were so many spilled drinks on the floor before either(I've gone to CapHill plenty of times over the past several years, that says a lot.) Joe the owner was a great guy. I went with a few friends on a Friday night and had fun until the light skinned security guard gave us problems outside the bathroom for "being too loud". He was trying to kick my homie out the bar and I was defending my friend so he tried to kick me out aswell. After complaining about his accusations towards us, he threatens to beat our ass. He tells me and my friend to look him up as if he's Kimbo Slices little brother. As he kicks us out of the bar he said he was going to clock off his shift so he could fight us and ended up not being able to step outside because the other employees stopped him. The owner apologized and let us back in. It was just embarrassing to be a part of when the security makes a whole scene of kicking you out for no real reason. I have read a few previous yelp reviews about this bar and apparently it happened before with this guy. Seems like they need new employees. Other than this situation I had a great night with my friends here. read more

This bar is very hit or miss. I have had some fun times there, but other nights it's been dead. It has 2 karaoke rooms, a decent sized dance floor, pool tables, darts, and lottery pull tabs so there's a lot to do there. On weekend nights it usually becomes so crowded that the pool tables and darts are unusable though. Also I've probably spent over $100 on pull tabs and never won even a dollar back, so there may be something fishy going on. I would recommend the Lottery Commission pay these folks a little visit. Anyway, the event that triggered me to write this review occurred a few weeks ago. I was in the bar minding my own business and chatting with my friends when someone jostled me and caused me to drop my drink. The bar was very crowded and these things happen so I wasn't too perturbed. However, a bouncer saw the commotion from across the bar, misinterpreted the situation, and decided to come remove me from the premises. The reason he gave was that I "puked". (I think from his angle the way I spilled my drink while I was taking a sip looked like I was vomiting). I tried to explain the actual situation to him, but he refused to listen. I was humiliated by being forcibly removed from the bar in front of my friends. Furthermore, once outside the bar I was verbally harassed nearly to the point of tears by some patrons waiting in the entrance line. Let's just say that if I had my glock with me, the night would've ended a bit differently. read more

My experience with Ozzie's is limited strictly to Wednesday night pub trivia, and that is really all that I would want from the place. (Sometimes that feels like more than enough.) The trivia is fun and typically diverse. Geeks Who Drink seem to run the better of the pub trivias I've experienced in the city. The food is overpriced, as mentioned to by everyone else, so it is important to arrive prior to 7 and get happy hour prices. If you're eating sub-par food, it may as well be cheap, right? It has a better beer selection than a dive bar in another part of the country, but in Seattle beer selection seems to be as necessary as a place to sit. (Which Ozzie's has questionably, as their high top stools require a next day chiropractic visit.) I have never tried a mixed drink, as I am content to stick with the beer. I suppose I've never gotten sick from this place, so that means something. I suppose one bright spot is that they seem to have fixed the toilets in the women's restroom. They now have toilet seats. But, really, when you are giving a thumbs up to having a functioning toilet with a seat, what does that say about the overall experience? read more

I called this place multiple times to ask if they allowed dogs, they said yes. I brought in my dog and once again asked the bouncer at the door if they allowed dogs; he said yes. So I waited in line, and carried my dog in, intending to carry her until we got to our table. A person coming down the stairs slipped and spilt their beer/drink. A security guard then came up to me and yelled at me to get out for my "dog peeing". I was still holding my dog and was completely dry, she clearly did not pee, it was beer. He wouldn't listen to me and kicked me out for the night. Sad I didn't get to hangout there with my friends :( going forward, noted that they are not dog friendly. read more

Went here with friends after having dinner and then stopping by a house party in south lake union! The ambiance was like a busy college dive bar but 4 times the size, complete with pool, darts, 2 levels, karaoke, and some pretty stiff drinks, depending on the server! The bar food was served all night, eventually shutting down after midnight, but it looked pretty decent to me! Grabbed a Jameson and ginger ale, followed by a tequila sunrise, and then a pint of Guinness. The ambiance is the primary reason why I enjoy this bar, because I like bars that are full of people, and entertaining. I played a round of darts, and then I also sung a couple of songs via karaoke with my friends, and we had a blast! The restaurants around the area are open late, and if I could I would go there more often! Such a fun time here with my friends, I definitely plan on coming back to this bar again soon! read more

Awesome place for some cheap drinks and food. The price for food is definitely a little steep for bar-quality food, but they do offer happy hour and specials for each day of the week. They have 5 different bars that are open during the weekends/busy holidays and have a designated karaoke room. It's nice to be able to come during the day as well to grab a drink with friends and play a game of pool in the back. Loved my pizza fries and paired it with a beer. Drinks are well priced and the karaoke game is strong. There is a karaoke set-up on both floors. Pro tip: Head upstairs for drinks - the lines are usually slightly less crowded upstairs. There's usually some great karaoke singers, and even if there aren't, it's still a great place to get some dancing in. I thought this place was really cool for karaoke. Lots of good audience and sound for a Tuesday. The lines weren't too long. The KJ really likes singing, who is cool since that's the only reason I'd want to KJ. The prices are good and the bar is big and fun. I really like the bar. I'm singing them two stars because the KJ really pissed my friend off and we left early because of it. Ruining his night really effected mine. The KJ told my friend he couldn't karaoke anymore because he was yelling his songs too loud. Now I karaoke with this guy a lot with this guy, and that has never happened to me or anyone else in know. In fact he wasn't singing any louder or harder than anywhere else we've been. If the KJ was worried about his speakers, he could've just lowered his sound lever. Now my friend was killing it and had all the people dancing, which is what a bar wants to see. My only conclusion is that the KJ was getting jeleous!!? But I've never seen than happen, so I'm not sure what the guys problem was. Reading the reviews I don't suppose he treats many people like this. We came here to watch the Husker game but it ended with disappointment in both the food as well as the game. By the time we got our breakfast it was at least 45 minutes. On top of that it took forever to even put in an order. When the food finally came out we saw it being carried and they clearly had the "I have no idea who this belongs to" and set it down multiple times and carried it around the restaurant to find its rightful owner (us). When our food found its way to us, it was cold, and my partners toast had mold on it. When we told the waitress she said she would comp it however 15 minutes later we are still waiting for the bill. Super unfortunate as we were hoping to become regulars throughout the Husker season. I'm not sure which was worse, the service, the food, or the game. Trivia night at Ozzie's on Wednesdays are pretty good. The last time I was here must've been years ago, because I couldn't remember what the first floor was like. It's definitely very divey, but what would you expect? It's the neighborhood go-to bar for pool, karaoke, and drinks! They have a full bar menu and they serve breakfast until 8pm which is pretty cool. I ordered the fried cod wrap which was actually quite delicious. Their happy hour deals are not bad either, $3 wells, Bud Lights, etc. I hear this place gets really crowded on the weekends and it makes sense. It seems like it'd be a great time because it's huge (there's an upstairs too) and seems like a fun atmosphere if you're drunk and trying to socialize. It's just really dirty... and I don't know if I'd want to come back for a night out, but I'm definitely up for trivia here because it starts at 7 pm which is earlier than most other places, and it doesn't seem TOO packed. There were only eight teams this week, but I'm sure that varies from week to week. Our server was also awesome, she was quick and efficient and good about checking in on us. Ozzie's has been here forever. Perfect spot in the heart of Queen Anne for a quick drink or to pre-funk for an event at Key Arena since it's just a 3 block walk to the venue. It's also a good spot to watch sports. We got to Queen Anne around 5, easily found $20 parking in the lot right across from Key Arena, walked the 3 blocks to Ozzie's and had our choice of tables, and were able to get drinks and order our food quickly right before the big rush. And of course we were able to get to our concert in plenty of time! We enjoyed some appetizers and beers before a concert. He said that some friends and I were no longer allowed in the space, however I had never even been in the space with anyone, let alone myself, before. I am honestly at a loss for words. He then made a point to shit talk me to his friends who he was hanging out with outside. I've never seen this man in my life. I've never been to this city before. I wish I could give an honest review of the space itself, however, I was not allowed in the space because your door guy is kind of garbage. How can I be 86ed from a bar I've never stepped foot in? If he would have just said to me, "I can't let you in," I would have just moved on to somewhere else, however he made a concerted effort to tear me down in front of other people. Stayed at a hotel near Ozies so thought I would order dinner to take back to the room. Ordered the Chicken fryed stake with a Cesar salad. Got back to the room and was shocked at the meal. They gave me a container the size of a thimble of gravy. ...and very small salad that was one Romain. I walked back there to get or buy more gravy. The bar tender said that the kitchen is closed.. As someone whose worked in the service industry for a while, I'm sorry to see the complete lack of respect I've seen. I have had so much respect for what you guys do until about a week ago. Ozzies is the lowest common denominator of Seattle karaoke. Pros: It is spacious and easy to locate, drinks are cheap and the bar food is not all that bad. Cons: The song selection is poor. The dance floor barely big enough to contain even one or two drunken mating rituals. The sound system is worse than the one they had at my middle school buddy's bar mitzvah and can barely be heard above the boisterous revelry in the bar area. The popped collar is alive and well here, both among staff and customers, and the noxious odor of competing colognes and hair products permeates every inch of the establishment. I realize that management has no control over patrons' scent choices, but please- educate your staff about avoiding egregious olfactory assault. Come here if you want to observe the West-coast version of the Guido fist-pump or get a second-hand spray tan. Otherwise steer clear, and head to Hula Hula down the street or Bush Gardens in the international district. read more

Not only is this place an annoying, crowded, vermin-infested, meat market on the weekends, it's even worse on the weekdays. Bad karaoke, mediocre food with a few sad patrons. I can see why. My sweetie and I went in for an afternoon snack and the salad was inedible. The bacon bits were hard enough to crack teeth, the chicken was basically jerky and the "ranch" tasted more like bleu cheese. On top of waiting an hour to get the check (we had other items on the bill and he was occupied with his laptop, otherwise we would have walked out), they didn't even comp the salad we barely touched. After arguing about it with the waitress for a while with no success, we didn't leave a tip (maybe you'll take it off the check now, bitch?) .
