I am so grateful I popped into this salon!! Oyuna is such a wonderful, radiant woman! She squeezed me in after she closed at 6pm and took such great care of me. I came in with overly processed blonde, weak, damaged chest length hair and left with a beautiful natural, healthy brunette and the cutest long bob. My hair feels healthy and free!! I was visiting from Austin, tx and will definitely be back for her to do my hair again. She was that good. And sweet. And caring. I just loved her!!! read more

Oyu Salon - Haircut and color - Hair Salons Near Me - Sausalito, California

Love this upscale place. This review is long over due. I've been to many salons but couldnt find nice salon that knows about asian hair especially when it comes to highlighting it. She is very professional and made my hair look gorgeous. The highlights came off as expected without damaging my hair. read more

Oyu Salon - Hair Salons Near Me - Sausalito, California

All 5-star reviews for a good reason! Last year I opened Oyu salon for my self, and happy every time I go for a haircut or highlights. Oyuna is a professional with many years of experience and knowledge how to handle different types of hair. She is the one who teaches me what products to use to keep my hair healthy and shiny! I went for highlights and left with clear understanding how to keep the color bright. I recommend the salon to everybody I know and all my referrals are also in love with Oyuna! Happy to have great local hair stylist/artist! read more

Oyu Salon - Haircut at Oyu salon - Hair Salons Near Me - Sausalito, California

Oyuna has cut my hair several times and I always walk out feeling great. For me and my needs, she knows her way around straight hair, which isn't always easy - you can see every cut, line, and detail. She always styles my hair perfectly. I like that she does dry cuts so there are so surprises once it's blow dried :). She is also so lovely as a person, so spending that hour or so with her is a pleasure! read more

Oyu Salon - Freshly cut and styled by Oyuna :) - Hair Salons Near Me - Sausalito, California

I have been seeing Oyu for more then 6 years and she treats my hair so well. She knows exactly what to do my hair. She is very professional and treats her client like royalty from the bottom of her heart. read more

Have been going to Oyuna for years and am thrilled she found this new space in Sausalito to call her own. The other patron said it best...we are surrounded by overpriced, mediocre salons, barbershops, you name it, I've tried most. Oyuna has the skills to take an individualistic approach to my whole family. It's never smart to recommend your stylist to others...and I hardly ever leave a review, but Oyuna is the real deal- caring, talented and reasonably priced! read more

I do not recommend. I'm deeply disappointed in what I witnessed yesterday at this salon. Came across this location while visiting with my girlfriend. *The sign along the street stated that walk in's were welcome. My girlfriend went inside to inquire about an eyebrow service. She was told to come back within a few of hours as the stylist was with a customer. Pretty reasonable. 2:30 to be exact. When to 2:30 approached, she returned to the salon. That's when the stylist told her she didn't tell her to come back at 2:30. She told her to come back at the end of the day, which would have been 6pm per the business hours posted. My girlfriend was noticeably disappointed and mentioned that she specifically told her 2:30. This wouldn't have been unusual for a salon under other circumstances( to run over a little time). However the blatant lie about the time to return was disrespectful, because we tailored a portion of our day around this time to make this appointment . To traverse Sausalito on a Saturday is a task within itself. To have to return later in the day, find parking again, to deal with traffic and tourism delays was a hassle. This was an inconvenience, but not a dealbreaker. However the stylist lied about the return time twice and the salon was not busy. In fact we thought it was closed initially. The refusal to give an actual appointment time after the second return ( we don't know what the end of the day means to YOU without an actual time). Followed by the unnecessary comment about "priority clients" get serviced first. In the end we did not return. My girlfriend did not want to run the risk of having her eyebrows obliterated with wax because she wasn't a "priority customer". I highly recommend searching elsewhere for salon services, especially if you are a POC. read more

Mediocre service and very rude staff. There's a reason it's so empty all the time! I felt like their products were compromised and they were rushing me. read more

Oyuna is absolutely amazing - understands and is able to do color like no other. She also has a beautiful, luxurious salon - I always enjoy my time there! I can't recommend her enough read more

Oyuna is GREAT! I walked in here on a whim with extensions for a blow out and a curl and she was so quick & so thorough and I absolutely LOVED the results. Her package blowout deal was wonderful and I absolutely LOVE it 4 days after! read more

I typically do not write reviews but I decided it would be selfish not to share this with everyone. Oyuna is undoubtedly one of the best stylists out there. She has been my stylist for over 5 years as well as my husband's and she does fantastic work. She has worked with my natural hair as well as when I wore a relaxer. She works with all different hair types, Caucasians, African Americans, Asians etc. She is professional, knowledgeable and prices are comparable. I recommend and give 5 stars!! read more

Really a wonderful and on point salon that is a true asset to the area. I've had coloring, blow outs, styles done multiple times and I've always been happy with the service. Oyuna knows color well. Mine has always looked natural and stayed healthy throughout and if you ever have coloring done you know how challenging this can sometimes be. I found the salon during Covid when my stylist left the area and I am so pleased the transition went well. She picked right up on the coloring and I've never had a reason to search elsewhere. She can take one look at your hair and polish it up more than ever expected. Her style is sophisticated, casual, elegant and modern all in one. I've seen a range of customers ages come in and she nails it every time! Thank You Oyuna!! You are wonderful! read more

Great stylist who I have used for years. Support your local businesses and give her a try in the new location

Wonderful, relaxed, professional. I totally don't get the one star below -- looks like they posted in the wrong place! None of the description fits my experience of Oyu Salon. Oyuna is a very accomplished stylist who listens to you, what you need, and then has a great eye and taste to accomplish what you want. Most of her clients go there long term. She also is a very kind person who took time during my haircut to take care of a transient beggar (very uncommon in this location) which I thought was quite incredible. read more

I always love my hair after Oyuna is finished with it. I have been going to her specifically for over 10 years now. I follow her wherever she goes. She knows just the right color, cut & shape for my face. She always knows what is on trend. And she is very detail oriented. She works on women, men & kids hair. The new Oya Salon in Sausalito is beautiful, modern, bright & clean. I recommend it to everyone. read more

We have been regulars at this salon and been loyal customers of the professional and kind owner for over ten years. The haircuts are always of best quality and together with consistently modest pricing make a good value and customer experience. Looking forward to the next appointment. read more

After years of over-priced, attitude-ridden, mediocre cuts and colors, it was a refreshing pleasure to meet Oyuna and follow her to her beautiful new salon. I have very fine hair, and it became more thin after having a baby two years ago. She was the first person to offer helpful suggestions for improving the strength of my hair, and she's corrected other stylist's bad cuts to improve the thickness and shape of my hair so I can finally grow it long! Her prices are very fair, and she offers helpful tips for home care. She's meticulous and so fun to get a cut and color from. I highly recommend her salon! read more

Super professional and wonderful stylist. It is always so great to find a local treasure.

I can't recommend enough. Oyu has been taking care of my hair for over 10 years. No matter what my vision is, she delivers! I moved to the east bay a few years ago, but will happily cross bridges to have her style my hair--she's worth it! And the new location in Sausalito is beautiful read more

This salon is a bright, cheery, quiet oasis. Unlike many hair salons, this is a place I look forward to relaxing in. On top of the environment Oyuna has created, she really knows her stuff. I feel like she genuinely cares about the health of my hair and isn't afraid to tell me what's best. I walked into her old salon in Marin City five years ago crying over the damage that had been done, she has completely transformed my problematic hair since then. I highly recomend Oyuna and her new location. She's the best! read more

Oyuna has been cutting and coloring my hair for years and I am so happy she finally opened her own salon. Her cutting technique is so precise and she is never rushed. She finishes up with a very sleek blowout, which I love! With only two chairs you are the center of attention. Oyu means turquoise in Mongolian, which is the perfect name for this peaceful, serene and beautiful salon. read more
