I scheduled my first hydra facial with Dawn at Studio 861 and Just loved it. The machine suction is completely comfortable and she talked me through the whole process. You can really feel and see the difference the hydra machine makes! Yes, the salon is cozy and friendly. That is the only good service. Beware of Bonnie the hairstylist. The cut and color was disastrous.1 I have thick hair and asked for a cut to minimize the bulk. . She cut my hair and then went at my hair with thinning shears, rather than having the expertise to know how to layer my hair .I am told by experienced hair stylists that this is a no no. My hair cut is uneven and requires extensive styling to curb all the funny flips and turns after I blow dry. My highlights bled out of the foil creating blobs or orange at my roots. I phoned thinking I would go back for "corrective" work, but realized that the results could turn out even worse. I was not offered a refund. A friend of mine, who referred me also was disappointed with her last hair cut. If you want a good hair cut don't see Bonnie! read more

The salon is small with only about 3 stylists but they are incredibly friendly, accommodating and growing. Bonnie has been doing my color and cut for about 2 years. I don't change my highlights much, but when I do Bonnie is always willing to work with me. She is also flexible about scheduling to fit you in. I am constantly looking for a new hairstyle and Bonnie never gets frustrated or impatient with me. She doesn't push her style on you. I know you know what I'm talking about. terrible, terrible, I will never get back there again, service is TERRIBLE. I did "Keratin treatment". First of all its not keratin you don't even know what is that, the lady who did the treatment said that Health Canada doesnt allow to do keratin treatment cuze it's containing hazardous formaldehyde, so I duno even what i had the stylist could explain properly to me. She was serving me and another lady the same time, she used the same brushes. and commented about my ends that its DEAD ends and it has to be cut for $55? Can u amazing $55 for that ....So i refused, she did her job very unprofessional. She washed my hair, didn't apply conditioner and she started brush WET HAIR!!!! It's was shock for my hairs. I have long hair of course they were very tangled and when she brushed no she didn't brushed them she PLUCK them !!!!! She so that i was unhappy with that i said its painful. U know what she said cause my hair have dead ends. I wanted quit it as soon as i can. And actually u have to buy shampoo and conditioner which cost $79, u can't use yours stuff. Eventually i left, and i would NEVER NEVER NEVER RECOMMEND THAT SALON. And u know they have the same price for that treatment in salon $ 139 but they "put price $455" on the dEAl finder, its just business as always, everything is lie, better don't go u will keep your hair id doesn't worth at all!!!! read more
