I have spent many years going to salons every 4-6 weeks; but, in recent years the expense of getting my hair cut, colored and highlighted had gotten too expensive and I started taking care of my hair, myself, as best I could. Recently, I was "treated" to a haircut; but it was probably the world's worst haircut; and I found myself looking for a salon and a stylist who was willing to help me out. A friend got me an appointment with Catherine, at Bilancio, and I CANNOT say enough wonderful things about her!!!! I have very poor hair -- it is straight, limp, fine, and I (honestly) thought that it was beyond help! However, Catherine, was not deterred. She took my "botched", disastrous, horrible head of hair and worked magic!!! She immediately assessed what 'products' were necessary to condition my hair and the best way to style it, under the circumstances. I was AMAZED at her talent, skill and confidence that she could make me look and feel so much better! Within an hour she had transformed me from thinking that I would stay indoors for the next month to being so pleased with the styling that I was wishing I had places to go and people to meet up with to "show off" my GREAT hair!!! I believe that Catherine is the most talented stylist I have ever seen and would recommend that any and EVERY person -- especially if you have problem hair -- who could use a "pick-me-up" to treat yourself to an appointment with Catherine!!! The only negative I can think of is that she is only at the salon two days a week and it can be difficult to get an appointment with her, especially on short notice! I have been going to salons for well over 30 years and I am convinced that Catherine is the nicest, most talented stylist I have ever met! She is a real "gem"! read more

I always go to Aveda salons because of their superior products and (hopefully)trained staff. I've given this salon 3 chances and they continue to strike out. I wanted to have a fashion color stripe--accent in the back of my head. Each time I've gone in, it's apparent that i've been assigned to a novice who doesn't yet have enough experience to apply the color. The first time I wrote it off to her inexperience, the second time, I took in a drawing of exactly what I wanted (with color swatches)...the stylist came close, at least. But the the third time the stylist-Devonnay, hadn't a CLUE what she was doing. Since it was in the back of my head, I couldn't tell, and trusted she would get it right. She applied the color and disappeared. Coming back an hour later (maybe longer) she proceeded to rinse me out, but soaked my smock, lingerie and clothing with dye water...staining everything. When she showed me the results, I was stunned, too stunned to even say anything. the bright fuschia and light mauve that I asked for was pitch black. Her response on questioning the results was, " oh, it'll fade with washings..." I paid my bill, and walked out fearful of making a scene. The next day, I contacted the salon and insisted on speaking with a manager. No one was available. An assistant phoned me later and said she would speak to the owner. I returned the call 2 days later to the cell # she had given me...she left a message later that the owner had agreed, contrary to policy to return my payment. That was 3 weeks ago. i've followed up since then, but still have received no reimbursement. I am contacting my credit card company to resolve the issue. read more

Over all I have to say the stylist had a lovely personality and the salon clean and classy. My hair cut is so-so for the ridiculous amount of money they charged for a SIMPLE 1/2 trim on the bottom of my hair. I had booked SIMPLY a hair cut, did not ask for ANY styling. As I don't like to use product or heat treatments. I specifically requested Megan as it noted on the website that she is a SENIOR stylist NOT a master style. The website marked that a senior stylist is $55.00 for a haircut, it seemed over priced, but do-able so I booked. HOWEVER when I finished my TRIM haircut and checked out it was $75.00... and I tipped her 20 in cash. Ridiculous! All I had was about 1/2 inch cut off my hair and she decided to put a diffuser on it for literally about 2 minutes max. I walked away with a so-so, nothing special, "hair cut" trim and a whole burned in my pocket. You need to either update your website noting that she is now a Master stylist OR note that you updated your prices, because a TRIM for $75.00 if absolutely ridiculous. I will not be coming back. read more

I got my cut by Megan and I'm so sad to say she did a horrible job. She does not know how to cut at all. She left me looking butch with a mullet. When I left the salon yesterday I was hoping that I would grow to like it. But it was such a waste of money and now I have to walk around with this atrocious main. I had a headful of thick straight pretty hair and she left me with barely any hair at all. I wish I could hide under a rock. This is the worst experience I have ever had. I will NEVER come to this place again, but I will be sure to tell everyone about where not to go. I'm not usually one to write negative reviews, but I had to after the s**t I received yesterday. I'm hoping my review will save someone else the heartbreak I'm going through. read more

Amazing! I just saw Catherine today and got the most beautiful cut, after getting a horrific botch job at another salon last week. I didn't think that my hair could be fixed, but Catherine is truly a miracle worker. Not only is she is so talented and precise, but is also a wonderful person.
