She has been the only one to cut my 8 year old daughter's hair - she's so great and patient w kids and people compliment my daughter all the time on how she has a "grown-up quality" haircut/style. I'm always a little nervous to try out a new salon but have been looking for someone based in Marin... so glad I took a chance on Salon B because it's honestly the best curly cut I've ever had! Amy and Bishlam have created such a lovely space... they're both so friendly and clearly passionate about what they do. Bishlam carefully took his time to look at my hair and to get a sense of what I wanted/didn't want and he even talked through some techniques for styling and explained what kind of products would work best for my texture. For anyone who's struggled to find a really great curly hair specialist, I can't recommend them enough! So lucky to have them in town!

From the moment we started, he took the time to genuinely consult with me before picking up a single pair of scissors. He clearly explained why certain techniques and styles would work for my curl type and face shape, and he even helped me understand why I've loved some past cuts and not others. With that insight, and just the great conversation we had, he delivered a cut I absolutely love. It's low maintenance (exactly what I asked for), but also super versatile: I can wear it up or down, and it fits seamlessly into my lifestyle. It works beautifully with my curls and exceeds every expectation I had. Bishlam is incredibly kind, deeply knowledgeable about curly hair, and passionate about proper hair care. His wife Amy was also wonderful. Highly recommend Salon B to anyone, especially those with curly hair looking for someone who truly understands it!

I wait months to get an appointment, plan my schedule around it, and then end up having it canceled at the last minute. Once is understandable--things happen. But having this happen three times in a row, every single time I've booked, is unacceptable. At this point, it's not an isolated inconvenience; it's a pattern that shows a complete lack of respect for clients' time. I've given this salon multiple chances, but I will not be returning. There are plenty of other salons that can provide a more reliable and professional experience.

I wanted a natural, lived-in blonde that would be low-maintenance enough for me to only come in 2-3 times a year. She totally nailed it. I can honestly talk on and on about how she is truly the most amazing and talented person ever, a true angel and my favorite person ever. I wanted to do something fun, creative, wild, and different with my hair, and Gale was pivotal in the gameplan. She has such an insane grasp of color knowledge and hair knowledge, I am just always amazed at her ability to look at my hair and know exactly how and what we can do to make it work. I'm admittedly lazy and bad at making appointments (she obviously knows this by now lol), so she ensured that my crazy hair color journey will have some room for hair growth and not have such a jarring/awkward phase. I owe her my life! Lastly, I did want to add that I love the Sproos salon as a whole too. The space is super comfortable, and they really make great use of the small space. Everyone is friendly, and I love listening to the conversations all the hair stylists have with their clients when I'm waiting. This time it was the main girl who handles scheduling (last time she wasn't there and another staff member who helps with blow-drying was covering, and that experience was just as annoying). During my appointment -- while I literally had hair all over my face -- she walked up asking me to book my next appointment and pay. I had to tell her I couldn't even see because there was clearly hair covering my face. It was obvious. It just felt like she wasn't reading the room at all. Moments like that really disrupt the vibe of the appointment. It feels unprofessional and honestly gives me the ick. When someone interrupts the flow like that, it takes away from the experience and, in my opinion, probably affects people's tips too because it kills the mood right before checkout. Obviously, I'm gonna pay before I leave and schedule my next appointment. I feel like she doesn't read the room and comes at the most inconvenient time. It's kind of a buzz kill. I genuinely like my stylist and the work he does, but if this continues to happen, I might have to reconsider coming back.
