The worst haircut I've received in my entire life. To add insult to injury, my complaints have been met with blatant gaslighting, which is extremely hurtful and unprofessional. Let me translate the gaslighter language, for those who are unfamiliar with this type of person: - "I'm sorry you're unhappy": this is a way to diminish a person's feelings, disguised as an apology. Instead of acknowledging their mistake, the gaslighter implies that the person is having feelings that aren't warranted by the situation. - "I cut your hair as we agreed in consultation": rewriting history to make the person doubt their own memory and sanity. This is gaslighting 101. - "I know it's hard to adjust to a big change": again, instead of admitting their own mistake, putting blame on the other person (Hallmark of gaslighting: everything slides off the gaslighter onto the other person). - "your images were AI generated": trying to gloss over the fact that she completely ignored the length, style, and functionality I requested both verbally and with photos, by suggesting I had unrealistic expectations. - othering my hair by repeatedly referring to its "natural texture", how they don't teach about it in school, etc, which I didn't even realize at first but I think is also part of the gaslighting pattern here. read more
