Just wow. I've been craving for oysters and what a perfect place to satisfy my cravings!!! Everything we ordered was so oishiiiiii, I'm still thinking about how delicious the food was!!! The oysters were so fresh, so good paired with uni, caviar, ikura, and/or ahi. The clams...wow, honestly the best I've ever ever had! Made to perfection to my liking and palette. Worth every bite!!! The tartare was so fresh and every bite had the perfect amount of everything! And wow the scallops, chefs kiss!!! The server was really nice and made me feel like I was in Japan! She offered my son cookies and even talked to him a few times, she kept calling him "kawaii ne" aka cute, isn't he? She was sooo nice, my son gave her a see you later and told her "Mata ne!" I love how the place reminds me of Japan too, small, intimate, clean, just love!!! I can't wait to try other dishes! Another spot I'd love to be a regular at!

Negitoro tartare, excellent

All the food here we had was delicious! It's kind of like a Japanese pub. Sushi rolls here are huge. We also go the negitoro tartare which was excellent and probably my favorite. The yakitori was flavorful although a little oily. Dash soup with clams was so savory and comforting. Staff was friendly and service was quick.

Oysters Supreme! Having tried oysters in many different places, I can honestly say these are top-notch. Beyond the incredible seafood, the service was fantastic--attentive and welcoming. There are so many great items on the menu, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

2nd time and still the same quality, ambiance and amazing service! My friend and I had the place to ourselves and really chatted it up with the chef and also the waiter, very sweet lady. Food always hits, oysters and the I'll and first time having the oyster shooters and it was perfection!

My boyfriend and I went to dinner last night. I made reservations as recommended. It's like a lil hole in a wall on the 2nd floor- hard to locate on your gps but we found it! The buttered clams (nice big fresh tasting clams)dish a soup was amazingly good. They added grapes and strawberries slices which was really surprisingly good. The onions and garlic were sweet tasting and the broth was so ono. We also tried their 1/2 shelled oysters with 3 Japanese sauces which is quite tasty and fresh! And also tried their Sushi avocado seafood roll with a light eel sauce which my boyfriend was hesitant to try but he loved it! Best dinner we had and they gave me a birthday cheesecake for dessert for free

What an amazing experience we had! My wife and I sat at the bar and enjoyed some amazing sushi, oysters, and drinks. My wife isn't much of an oyster person, but she loved everything she had at this place. Highly recommended and can't wait to come back. Decor-4/5 stars. Not much to the decor, but it's clean. It's got some amazing Hawaiian art on the walls. It's a tight space on the second floor of a building with limited seating. Service-4.5/5 stars. Friendly staff that are very attentive and happy to serve. Food-5/5 stars. The food was top-notch, everything we had was 5/5stars. The sushi is fresh and well put together. The oyster shots were out of this world, and we really enjoyed everything we had here. Well done.

I accidentally found this place on my search for another restaurant, so I figured oysters sound like a lovely appetizer and start to my dinner, let's give it a try! The ambience is really small, quaint, clean and cute! You can tell this place gets a lot of regulars. Everyone was so friendly. And I tried the chefs choice oysters! They were all phenomenal!! I normally like to dress up my oysters, but the sauces they provided really enhanced the oysters flavor without taking away from the freshness of the oysters! I was really impressed with the service and quality of this establishment. If you're on the hunt for fresh oysters, check this place out!!

If there's one thing that I have to say without hesitation, it's that their oysters were so fresh and that their sashimi melted like butter. We came in about an hour before closing and I was hesitant about going since it was getting so late. However, we were greeted with the best hospitality. Their service was on point the moment we came in and was seated the minute we all looked at the bar, to the moment we cashed out. Great place!

Not sure how I feel about this place? Nestled above another restaurant this place is very small with very limited seating. Plus the night we were there the AC wasn't working very well and is was very hot. Menu is also very small and very pricey of the 4 sushi roll options all are over $20+ and they have a version of a poke bowl and the same type of pricing. Beers are expensive and that is what is the question mark on me coming back. Food was good, quality was very good, service was good, cleanliness was good but very very minted options and very high prices I wound probably look at other options.

Looking for greatness here!

Our first night in Waikiki was great. I picked out Oyster Hale by Crush as our first dinner as I wanted a non-touristy local spot that had a feeling of home and that's what you get here. As you enter you immediately see the seating bar and 3 tables. That's it. Highly recommend making reservations. The one thing this place is known for is their oyster shooters. We ordered both Uni and Caviar Oyster shooters. 3 each hit the spot as our first course. Next we ordered the fresh made ahi poke which was so tender the ahi melted in your mouth. Served with lettuce and sweet onions you could make this your main dish or share like we did. We then ordered the Diamond Head Roll which was fantastic and the uni and caviar on top is a great match and perfect complement to this roll. I asked which sake they would recommend that was sweet as most sake is not sweet like we think of but they pointed me to the Hana Peach Sake and wow it was fantastic. Tasted like a peach cooler of sorts with non of that high alcohol flavor. At 8% ABV you won't be getting a buzz so no worries there. I believe this is a husband wife duo and he is the only chef and she is the only server, dish washer, front of the house person. We loved it here and would recommend this to any of our true Japanese fusion and sushi loving friends. Where is your favorite in Waikiki, drop me a message! 5 stars all the way!

This place has amazing food and amazing service! I highly recommend! Parking is across the street in a parking garage or street parking on Ala wai if you want to chance it. The oyster shooters were to die for!!!

They have shared parking lot with the surrounding establishments which was fairly open since it was so late (I think they were the only one open by that time). We were able to get seated fairly quickly (bar seating style, not individual tables, although they have a few of those as well). This spot is decently small but they seem to fit everyone in fairly efficiently. Upon seating we were given menus and waters after. The waiters are decently attentive since we were seated right by their kitchen/back of house opening. We got: * Chicken Karaage: 10/10, I would heavily recommend this. The chicken was juicy and lightly crispy. What MADE this dish was actually the egg sauce on top. It acts as the aioli but clearly much more homemade and heathier, with egg white pieces and the sauce made of egg yolk etc. We ordered this twice bc it smacked. * Taco Rice: 7/10, okay so... I'm not even going to lie when I say that I was a bit tipsy already when I agreed on ordering this. I THOUGHT this was a TAKO (octopus) rice. NOT a TACO (Mexican) rice. It tasted like I was eating taco bell, which wasn't bad per se but just felt weird being in an izakaya. * Beef Tongue: 9/10. I would recommend this as well. The beef tongue was tender and flavorful. They didn't go overboard with the sauce on top to let the meat shine through. * Seared Aburi: 8/10. The person I was with order it. It was good, no strong feelings about it. It was cool to watch them sear it though. It was on the fishy-er side tho, compared to other forms of sashimi (likely due to the skin still present). * Hot Sake: I would recommend this if you don't enjoy drinking. While its hot/warm, it helps it go down a lot more! Honestly I enjoyed the fried chicken so much I would actually come back just to eat that and maybe try some of their other dishes. Plus the izakaya experience definitely felt really authentic as it was bustling when we visited.

I've been a fan of this place for a while, so it genuinely hurts to write this. The food itself?…read moreHighlights for sure -- the tacorice in the stone bowl was excellent, the hamachi with eggplant was a standout, and the rafute, while a bit dry, still had its moments. The kitchen is clearly talented. But everything else? A real disappointment. The server was cold and unfriendly the entire visit. The larger tables of four around us were getting great, attentive service -- smiles, check-ins, the works. But when she dropped food at our table? Not even a word. It felt pretty obvious that since the bigger tables had an automatic 20% tip guaranteed, our table just wasn't worth the effort to her. And that's exactly the problem with sneaking an auto-gratuity in fine print at the bottom of the menu -- it creates exactly this kind of situation. If the service had been genuinely good, I would have happily tipped 20% on my own. But to have it quietly tacked on after being largely ignored? That feels sneaky and disrespectful. This place used to be a go-to for me. Today really dropped the ball. Be upfront about the tip policy and treat every table like it matters -- because to the customer, it always does.

My fiance won a gift card actually 2 of them (from his coworker whom could not get a reservation secured), we knew we had to make the trip over before they officially close. We had multiple dishes, but staff made Kauai prawns and tomato miso black cod dishes on the house since they ran out the Hokkaido scallops. We ordered the short ribs, lobster appetizer, hamachi crudo and lastly sashimi moriawase to finish food palate. Lukki lemon dessert was great way to end to night. Ordered the Milk tea bouquet cocktail while my better half had water ( either way the food coma knock him out cold the rest of the night lol). To be honest, it was difficult to determine which dish was the best because the staff kept quality there despite it being busy every night since they announce the closure. Sashimi moriawase, fish was so fresh, reminded me of my time spent in Hokkaido and Sapporo. Short ribs was soft and rich in flavor. Both me and my fiance liked the lukki lemon dessert, like lemon meringue pie but broken down version.
