I only had to wait a short time before the optometrist was able to see me. The staff was very friendly, and there was a pretty good variety of frames to browse while I was waiting. My eyes are really dry and get irritated easily so the optometrist gave me a lot of helpful tips on how to care for them better and recommended eye drop brands to check out! Will be back!

The optometrist was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and, thankfully, not at all judgmental of how I routinely punish my eyes and wear my contacts to bed disturbingly frequently. This place has some serious management issues with how they operate. I made a point to tell them this and that I couldn't see. I only had a pair of sunglasses from a few prescriptions ago, which is not at all ideal for daily wear. They said, on July 12 that they would be ready in about a week and a half which would have been around July 24. I never heard anything so I called them on that day to check and they said one pair had come in. Not sure when that happened or why they hadn't called me but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Now it has been 2 1/2 week, I still had not gotten a call about the second pair and so I call them again and they say they are ready. For being a company supposedly passionate about people's vision, they sure don't seem to be in a rush to get you to see properly. If I hadn't called, how much longer would it have been? I'm beyond disappointed and will be looking elsewhere for my eye exams and glasses in the future.

It felt weird to cross reference this with Yelp ratings to try to make some sense of where to go... But I've definitely done weirder things. This led me to Smart Eyes, which not only was close but also had five stars. Truth be told, I'd actually put off going to an eye doctor for almost the entire year because I didn't want to deal with figuring out how to maximize the vision benefits I actually do have. (This confusion seems to be intentionally engineered by insurance companies.) This was all compounded by my experience in a previous career in vision correction where I was made fully aware of just how hard you can get ripped off on a pair of glasses. Well, they basically did all the work for to get the absolute best pair of glasses I could get to fully maximize my insurance benefits. This ended up being a full eye exam, a bunch of contacts, and a killer pair of glasses. All the equipment they've got is super new, the selection of frames is great, and any weird thing you want they'll just order for you. I've recommended Smart Eyes to a weird number of people because my experience there was so good, and as long as I'm in the area that's definitely where I'll be going for future optical needs.
