Their equipment as far I could tell is state-of-the-art. Other staff member were obviously well-trained and exhibited a high level of customer service. Loved my experience here. Everyone involved was extremely polite and professional even starting from the initial phone call. My doctor was lovely and she made sure to give me all of my options and recommendations, but not overwhelm me. She made me feel like I was the best person to make decisions on contacts or glasses, etc, without pressure. I picked out glasses that day and was told it would be up to a week and to my surprise they were ready the next day! The decor is so modern and nicely designed. It may sound crazy but I picked the place for that reason, I wanted a place that would appeal to me and have me on mind. No more creepy, boring, commercialized doctors. I want a place that is relevant and open to change. This place kept my experience simple and got me everything I needed. Definitely, recommended. read more

Dr. Chace and Dr. Megan learned what not to do when they worked at one of those big box eye doctor stores. I received a great exam, using the latest equipment, in a comfortable setting. Dr. Chase took the time to explain every exam. Eyes on Wheaton is a real doctors office not a eye glasses sales scheme. 4 years ago I was basically scammed by eye glass store. The doctors give you a personal feeling when you're there and you can tell they genuinely care about your wellness and vision. At the appt, I was greeted with "we don't have you in our system" "Would you like me to add you into the system and schedule an appt for you? We are booked for the rest of the day." They took the time to answer all of my questions and listened to the concerns I had with my current prescription! Great service and lab. Needed daily contacts like now. 30 pack wouldn't be delivered for 3-4 days. Dr Chase found a pair of two week lenses in the back and got me on my way. Several lenses for glasses purchased seem high quality and durable. (Attribute this to the lab they work with?) They've also addicted me to polarized prescription sunglasses. One more thing. They keep track of my insurance better then I do. (self interest, I know, but I appreciate it) I call and ask if I can get glasses or contacts for less then $600 and if they say yes, I go in. 5 stars if they get booze in the waiting room. read more

I am not the type of person who wrirtes reviews. I am also a huge propent of supporting local businesses. But I found Eyes of Wheaton to be one of the worst medical experiences and they have yet to follow up or get it right. I spent an absolute fortune on frames and lenses. Well over $600.00 First of all the doctor and owner never called back after several attempts. The perscription he provided was not optimal. He was not even close to getting the prescription right. The prescription strength only provided a modest improvement. When I did engage the doctor to provide feedback, he stated that my eyes were adjusting to the lenses. He also informed me my cheap readers will always be stronger than my perscr. No accountability. No ownership. So Doc you know who this is...Why not call and fix the issue. I stopped going to Wheaton Eye Clinic after many poor customer services experiences. Eyes on Wheaton is wonderful! Dr Megan and Dr. Chase always fit me in when needed and are very thorough and competent with adult and children. The customer service is phenomenal! Daryl has even dropped my contact lenses off at my house for free and runs them out to my car so I don't need to park and drag all the kids with me. They did not try to sell me anything I did not need, but instead offered friendly and quality service. I've had Amblyopia ( Lazy Eye ) since birth, in other words I can see blurred in one eye and 20/20 in the other. As a 20 year safe truck driver I have to get a vision exemption attached to my DOT medical card just as a type 2 diabetic would and one of the conditions is to see an optometrist every 2 years and ask them to fill out paperwork for me to send to be renewed. Chase was very helpful, professional, comfortable to be around and filled all the necessary paperwork in the order that The U.S. DOT wanted it. Any fellow truckers out there who need to do this, these professionals are the place to go. Well worth out of your way. Or anybody in need of even a simple eye exam. Thank again guys ! read more

I was going to a nearby location and saw the sign for an eye dr./facility. My best pair of sunglasses had broken- the screw had come out (they are reader sunglasses). I walked in and asked if there was any possible way they could fix them. In spite of the fact that I am not a patient or regular customer there they fixed my glasses for me with a new screw. I recently moved to Wheaton and was in search of a new eye doctor and Dr. Westergren is wonderful. They use modern technology in their exams which has eliminated the need for the puff of air that most people have become begrudgingly accustomed to. They also have a variety of frames for everyone including children's frames. The staff and doctor were extremely welcoming, friendly, and helpful.
