DVC is a great! The staff must have changed as the negative reviews do not reflect my experience at all. The staff greets you warmly, is exceedingly helpful and definitely appear to be well trained. The highlight of my experience is Jaime, the Optician. He was so accommodating and knowledgeable. I never had "fun" picking out glasses before. He really knows his craft. My experience with Dr. Burch was excellent. I have a number of unusual issues that require me to also see a Retina Specialist. He worked so well with my team. Highly recommend!! read more

I would never recommend Danada vision center. Dr Christian Burch and his front desk person, Jamie, were very rude and unhelpful. My eye examination was very short and I wasn't comfortable with the Doctors interaction but I ordered my glasses with his prescription from a place I have gotten my glasses for years. When they arrived, I could not see out of them at all. I called Danada Vision Center and Jamie answered and told me I would have to pay another fee to talk to the doctor. I asked if I could come in and have my glasses looked at and he reluctantly agreed. I went right in and was treated very rudely. I asked to see the doctor just to talk to him and they told me he was very busy all day. I asked if he would please call me and they said yes and I have not heard a word back from anyone for over two weeks. I would never recommend them. Very, very, very disappointed! read more

I started coming here because I have VSP vision insurance and they are in network. I was a patient for a few years, staff has always been friendly and helped me. However my last experience wasn't great unfortunately. I was being helped by someone who I hadn't seen before and seemed new. She didn't measure the height of my eyes in the glasses which I was skeptical of (I used to work for an optometrist and had ordered glasses many times). The doctor had added astigmatism to my glasses Rx without telling me and it wasn't just a small amount it was huge. When I went to pick up the glasses I couldn't see and had to have them remade and requested that they remove the astigmatism completely since I had never needed it before. They agreed. It was then months later that I realized that they had in fact measured my heights wrong which resulted in me having to tip my head back just to see clearly which really affected my night time driving. I went back once after all this because I was having other issues with my left eye and just felt that the doctor was really dismissive and didn't address my concerns. First off, the doctor was very kind, reserved and knowledgeable. It was my first time and I thought their new location was lovely, and I enjoyed the exam. That being said.... the staff were incredibly rude. They gossiped the entire time in front of me about making fun of a fellow coworker, didn't care that I was there. They treated me cordially enough until I mentioned that I would be buying my glasses online, as buying glasses from them would have cost me almost $400 DOLLARS (waaaay expensive). The minute I mentioned that it was too expensive, they treated me like trash. I was waiting for one of the girls to give me my prescription and she told me "you can just go now." I said "um, I need the prescription," she sighed deeply and acted very put out. Rudely handed me my papers and told me to go. The worst part? A woman in a BMW came while I was waiting, fancy clothes and jewelry, obviously rich, and they treated her like a queen, was incredibly nice and helpful and showed such an obvious preference to her it was laughable. Honestly I have rarely felt so shamed, ESPECIALLY at a doctor's office. I felt humiliated, just because I couldn't afford 400 dollars in eye glasses. Funnily enough, my husband went two days after me (we set appointments at the same time) and said that the staff gossiped and made fun of other women openly in front of him and ignored him. The doctor is wonderful, and if the staff was different I would love to go back. Unfortunately I refuse to have my family shamed because we can't afford hundreds of dollars in glasses. read more

I'm sure this place is fine. Both my boyfriend and myself went here with no huge problems. I won't go back just because they are very pushy and being new to needing glasses it's hard for me to sort out if they are trying to push something unnecessary on me or not. My boyfriend got pushed into daily contacts and was made to feel stupid for wanting the monthly contacts. He's not happy with his dailies. They don't suit his needs. Sales lady tried pushing me into some $200 leopard print glasses. I'm not a $200 dollar glasses fan OR a leopard print anything fan... And I made that very clear. She wouldn't drop it. It's just one of those uncomfortable times that I prefer to avoid. If you are good at saying no and know exactly what you need and won't waver... Im sure your experience will be fine. If you are clueless (like me) or spineless about saying no (like my bf...sorry, but true), probably should look elsewhere. read more

Poor customer service. Poor attitude on the staff part. I'm diabetic, and needed a report on my eyes for my medical doctor. After calling three times, with no results I called to talk to the owner. That's when I final receive my reports. My glasses were to have transitions built into the lens were the glasses darken in sun light, a big add on. They did not have the transitions in the glasses. It took another 10 days to get the new glasses back. What other things are wrong with the glasses. read more

Friendly doctors, nice technicians. Google maps has the location wrong though, they are actually around the corner from Jewell. Although the service was good, they were ungodly expensive. I went in for an eye exam for contacts and glasses and to have them put new lenses in some frames I had. My wife did the same at Costco, but I went with Danada because they could get me in sooner. My wife's bill was barely over $100, mine well over $300. So, the service was solid, the staff friendly, but I can't give more stars because for the HUGE difference in price the service wasn't any better. read more

A massage, and chocolates, and a fruit bouquet! Shut the front door! I usually go to their Villa Park location for my vision needs, but then I found out they were having a little "thank you customers" shindig at this location and decided to hop on over. The office was all decked out after having a bit of a makeover. There were snacks galore, some tasty beverages, and a lot of smiling faces warmly greeting me when I entered. They offered a free eye x-ray thingie and it was pretty cool seeing what my eyeball looks like from the inside. I had my exam and brought in an old pair of glasses that needed new lenses. They asked if I had any interest in buying new ones, but didn't really push when I declined. However, I had my heart set on owning my first pair of prescription sunglasses and I ended up with a pair of bitchin' Michael Kors. This was done with the assistance of several amazing ladies telling me which ones looked good, and which ones looked horrible. Sometimes you just need a honest women telling you that your head is too giant for a pair of eyewear. Oh, and I also got hooked up with the first pair of contacts that didn't make me want to claw my eyes out. SWEEEEEET! After my exam and purchases, I partook of a chair massage, some delicious cupcakes and strawberries and cheese aaaand you get the idea. I enjoyed myself, let's put it that way. They were great about sending the lenses over to the Villa Park location for me to pick up since it was closer, which I was SO very happy about. Less time in the car makes me a happy girl. It was a super fun night with an eye exam thrown in. Can't beat that. read more

Workers here lack communication, therefore crappy customer service. I placed a frame on hold. The next day I came back to order it, but the lady whom put it on hold wasn't there. I asked the other workers, and they had no idea where it was! I was told to come back another day. I did then was bribed by Monica into purchasing various lens coating...no thanks but thanks for being friendly. A few days went by and until that lady showed up, I was finally able to purchase those frames. I gave this place two stars because the glasses were in good condition. The entire staff is friendly and extremely helpful. Dr. Burch was quick and extremely friendly and explained everything in very easy to understand terms/ways. They made it crystal clear what my VSP covered and what the best options for me were, and while paying I ran into some difficulty using my FSA and the lady helping me was very patient and helpful throughout the whole process... I had purchased my glasses there when Dr. Brace was there and everyone was friendly Last week I broke the piece on my frame less glasses. They tod me 117 for the piece and 3 weeks to fix. Great staff! Very friendly. Office was very well maintained. It is a tricky location getting in and out but not a problem. Frames seem to be a little bit more than online but I still purchased them there. Dr. Burch was excellent-very thorough and answered all my questions as a "First Time" customer. I would definitely recommend. I also meant to pay with my HSA Credit Card. I ended up having to come back. They were very helpful and changed credit cards immediately. read more

Well I had been to this Pearle Vision Danada location several years ago, so when I felt it was time for another eye exam, I returned. It was a relief to find that Dr. Fazal was still there, and her assistant Christina. The sense of continuity was helpful. But most of all, I was treated not just as a customer, but a person first. Dr. Fazal was very caring and treated me in a way that she went the extra mile to be helpful in any way possible. She impressed me as being very competent, that she "knew her stuff," and I really felt I was in good, caring hands with her. There are also many glasses styles to choose from there, and the location is easy to get to. I would recommend and return to this practice in the future. read more

DO NOT GO THERE!!! This is for the Wheaton office. First of all the are professional con artists! They have hidden fees and charge for services you didn't receive. I am stuck going there because thats the closest place my insurance covers. But I think it may be worth the extra 20 min dive to the next place.The staff messes up appointments. They feel that making personal calls is more important than helping you and on top of all of that they are so incredibly RUDE!!! Even the Dr. a jerk! from the moment you walk in till the moment you leave they are trying to put more things on your bill. They will even start doing tests that are not covered by insurance with out telling you that your insurance does not cover it and they are also completely unnecessary. I scheduled a new patient appointment there more than a month in advance and they called and left a voice mail about 2 weeks before the appointment that they rescheduled it for me to the following Saturday...without talking to me! Not a very good first impression for a new client. Then I show up to the appointment and they tried to tell me that it would be $70 for the exam only, even though I have insurance. They charge a ridiculous amount for a contact exam. I told them that was not going to happen and said I would go somewhere else. As I was walking out, the receptionist muttered that they would just bill me and it would go to collections! I turned around and said, "I was never seen by the doctor and had no services rendered, you can't bill me!" The doctor had to tell her that it was fine and I was ok to leave and wouldn't be charged...NEVER go here or be seen here. Unprofessional! read more

I was a patient of the former owner Dr Brace for over 20 years and was always pleased. Upon my second visit to the new Dr/owner, he informed me that he saw signs of macular degeneration. He did not make a recommendation to follow up with an opthomoligist. it was recommended that I purchase vitamins from them at $60.00. I followed up on my own with an opthomoligist and he reported that I did not have signs macular degeneration! I will not return or reccomend. read more

Do not go here - you deserve better. I went to have my prescription updated. I was shown the standard 20/20 chart on the wall, consisting of 3 lines. I could not read the bottom line so the Dr. increased the size to 20/60. I laughed and told her that I could definitely read the bottom line now. She showed me 3 other charts at this magnification and announced that she could do nothing to improve my vision. She recommended two things: she could dilate my eyes (for an additional fee) or she could recommend me to an eye surgeon to determine what the problem was. I asked what problem since she hadn't even looked at my eyes, just the eye chart. She said that my pupils are small and that it is very difficult for me to see since the pupils are so small. WHAT???? She would not be able to make a determination of what is wrong with my eyes until she can dilate my eyes and see the back of my eye. Keep in mind this is BEFORE she even looked at my eyes. Once again she said that she could do nothing to improve my vision. I then asked why I can see better with my computer glasses. BUSTED! She looked at my prescription computer glasses and had me look at a chart again with the computer glass prescription. My vision was a little better but not the same as my computer glasses. She flipped through 4 "is this one better" scenarios and said this was the best she could do. She rushed through this portion of the exam and did not take enough time to find a new prescription that was sharp. Once again I was told it was the best she could do. Since I am not legally blind and I can function without my glasses, this is an untrue statement. She could have improved my vision with the proper prescription. At this point, I knew I was had and played for a fool. Now, for the fun part. The glasses without my insurance would have been over $1000! That's right and I picked out cheap frames. With my insurance, the frames were free and it would cost $370 for the lenses with anti-glare coating. I told the nice technician that I did not want the anti-glare. She said OK, you can save over $70 by not getting that. The Dr. heard that I was not getting the anti-glare coating and told me that the lenses would not work properly without the coating. WHAT???????? She said the lenses could only be effective with the coating, which does not make sense because anti-glare only blocks blue light rays, it does not affect the quality of the lens or it's ability to improve one's vision. I asked for an explanation of why the lens will not work and she said I should get the cheaper lens but they will not be the best quality and my vision would be affected. She could not explain to me why the lenses would not perform without the anti-glare coating. As we all know, anti-glare coating is a nice up charge for the Dr. I was conned from the beginning by this Dr. and she did not deserve my business or my hard earned cash. I left without any glasses and they did not even give me a copy of my new prescription. Please do not go here - you and your eyes deserve better. read more

We started there because they accepted our insurance, but have been very pleased with both the examinations and the service.
