This is a must try spot in Sumner! We ordered the Chilean Sea Bass and 10oz Steak. You have to get the steak with a truffle mashed potatoes! The miso sea bass is not over powering with miso and was flaky to touch. The steak was cooked well, but the highlight was the truffle mashed potatoes. Preston was our server and everything he recommended was spot on! This place we stumbled upon, but would be a great place to just hang out during the summer on their deck. This is a must try! She was friendly, knowledgeable of the menu and ingredients while also making exceptional recommendations. Super glad I saw the billboard for the restaurant earlier in the week on HWY 167. Was in the neighborhood today and decided to stop and have some lunch. I guess I really haven't been around the area recently as they been open for more than year. Saturday and Sunday they do brunch, and have live music on the patio pending on weather. There is plenty of parking with EV charging station, so a great place to bring all your friends. Lots of signature cocktails, and full bar. The service and food were great, and will be back for sure to try the regular dinner menu soon. I'm intrigued be the 24 oz ribeye . Was told the menu changes seasonally, but it has been a mainstay for them. It does make me excited to come back to see what new offering they will have. read more

Called around 3:30 to make a 4:00/15 reservation for a larger party (6-8, maybe 9 while we waited for teenagers to decide if they were joining). We all were arriving from 40min away so wanted to get as early as possible. Constant ringing, never went to voicemail. Made an online reservation that only allowed a max of 4 under my name. Attempted to make another under my name but the system recognized I already had one so I made an additional under my spouse's name. We arrived with the whole party (minus one en route). Identified myself as the 2 reservations for 4:15p since the system wouldn't allow duplicates. The hostess (possibly the manager) smiled condescendingly and said "that's why we have you call us." To which I responded "I tried but there was no answer". (Also, this is my family's second trip here in about 2 years, so it wasn't like we were familiar). Someone in my party asked if we could just put two tables together (in an empty restaurant). The hostess put 2 tables together, and then our additional teen showed up so we needed another chair. I offered to have 4 on my side or if wasting another table was best for 1 more chair. Hostess decided another table was ok. In our party were two high-profile local businesses that pay for business meetings/ meals for a lot of local clients in the area. Hopefully there's a better system in place for large-party same-day reservations when phones are not being answered less than an hour before opening. Stars for the waitstaff's kindness and professionalism, and all meals were great value & flavor for the costs. Our experience at Oxbow was absolutely fantastic. We enjoyed our meal at the bar top which was nice and roomy and still allowed for a decent amount of privacy. The atmosphere was nice and chill and it wasn't too loud or chaotic. They have a great selection of signature drinks as well as a full bar so your options are aplenty. I ordered the ravioli and I honestly could barely pull my attention away from how incredible it was. The flavor was unbelievable and the truffle flavoring was just the right amount. My wife had one bite and was dying for more. I highly recommend the ravioli and their oxbow salad is very tasty as well. The service was friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable, you can't go wrong! Ordered 8 oz ribeye steak at medium but came out medium well. The seabass that we ordered was very fishy and still undercooked in the very middle -- just a tiny spot maybe a quarter inch wide. The food is very good and atmosphere is okay although very loud and echoing sounding. The main issue we had was with a party of 5, everyone received their entrees except for one person, they said it would just a be a couple minutes, ended up being like 20-30 minutes and everyone at the table was pretty much done with their meal when the last person finally received theirs. It was not a good look for them if they are trying to be this nice fancy restaurant in town then you really shouldn't be making those kinds of mistakes. I always order them whenever on a menu and I have to say I think these are the best I've ever had! They are literally that good. Good food and dining experience tends to be hit or miss or older, same old, same old stuff around here so I was excited to try a newer restaurant! Great service from start to finish, very friendly and attentive. The space is beautiful! I'd love to come back when it's warmer to sit on their patio. Beverage and food menu has something for everyone. We also dined with our 1 year old. I'm always appreciative of a kid friendly place and staff. Our first visit to Oxbow was nothing short of amazing! We tried the birria tacos, bang bang chicken, chicken sando, Brussels sprouts, and from the kids' menu, the mac n cheese and fish and chips. Every dish was a hit--perfectly al dente pasta, crispy and flavorful Brussels sprouts, and fried chicken cooked to perfection. The service was outstanding, and the restaurant's ambiance was warm and inviting. Even the kids' menu impressed us with its quality. Nice location and nice staff, but the good ends there. Me and my wife split an Australian Wagyu steak and some smoked pork belly Bao's. Steak had very little flavor and the Bao's were "meh". My two daughters ordered the fish and chips and it was even worse than the steak, very soggy breading. My son's Ravioli was ok and the fries that came with the fish and chips were good. We also had an order of a dozen oysters and they were good- but quite a lot of grit inside, which is always a little off putting. So for over 300.00 I would definitely recommend spending your hard earned money somewhere else. read more

So disappointing to go to happy hour with 6 friends and have no where to sit even though all tables were empty except 2 in the whole dining area on a Tuesday. All seating in the bar is set up for singles or doubles. The couples sitting there,do what everyone does, sit with one or two chairs In between each other so no groups of 3 or more can sit anywhere for happy hour!. We looked at a menu on line it was wrong menu we went to oxbow and didn't know until we got there. We ordered anyway the food was good but we were disappointed that we didn't get the menu we saw online, the manager let us know people add menu all the time and say it is oxbow, she told us to go to their webpage. Came in for brunch yesterday, and there were so many good menus items to choose from we'll have to come back so we can try them all! I got the Neptune salad, it had huge prawns and big beautiful Dungeness crab segments as well as a lovely soft boiled egg and other veggies, just what I expected. Husband order the (gigantic!) Pork Royale sandwich with pork sausage, pork belly and a perfectly cooked egg. I've worked in the restaurant industry for almost 20 years and I can tell you, eggs like that are tricky, but these were perfection! Our son couldn't decide so we got him the mac and cheese as well as the chicken tenders on the menu, they were both obviously hand made and not from a box or the freezer like some kid menu items. We noticed that no one ordered anything sweet, so the server suggested we start with a "Side" Belgian waffle! (who knew that was a thing?!) I loved it, berry compote and fresh whipped cream piled high, it was perfect for everyone to have a couple bites and we all satisfied our breakfast sweet tooth. Coffee was fantastic, (refills fast and numerous) and we also tried one of their breakfast cocktails to share, the Burning Orchard. it was well balanced and it went beautifully with not just his sandwich and my salad but the Belgian waffle too! Yum! Yum! Yum! I took my mother to Oxbow for brunch after it was recommended by a friend. She did not steer us wrong. I got the Wagyu Corn Beef Hash which was incredible. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. The Oxbow Old Fashion was excellent and definitely one of the best I have had in a long time. We were seated right away, and our waitress was very attentive. Even the manger checked in on us. Wow! It's a cool and hip restaurant with outdoor seating on the water. The salad was advertised to have an anchovy dressing and there was not a hint of it to be found. Just an overly wet lemon forward dressing with basic croutons on top. Welcome to Oxbow, a modern urban restaurant with variety of foods and nice vaulted ceilings. Parking is available onsite and is spacious. It took a few minutes to be greeted and seated but after being seated our server was very attentive moving forward and throughout our meal. For drinks, we got the pomegranate cosmo and my boyfriend got the Sumner. I loved the pomegranate cosmo, it was sweet with refreshing. Definitely recommend if you like sweet mixed drinks! My boyfriend liked his drink, it wasn't sweet but you have a balance between the gin and champagne. Next, the BLT Buns! It's was delicious and I loved the tomato jam! Next, he got the chef's special which was black pepper steak medallions! The sauce was delicious and the mashed potatoes were delicious as well. I did get the Ribeye which was seasoned well and tasted great. My only recommendation is get mashed potatoes instead of fries. I didn't enjoy my fries.
