VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Mike is a genuinely nice human being and is exceptionally skilled and efficient. Honesty shines through his personality. I was ready to replace the entire garage door, and yet Mike suggested that I simply replace the springs! THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO NEED TO LOOK ANY FURTHER. read more

I called Mike after using him about a year ago for a strut replacement. This time, I knew the springs needed to be replaced. He was out to my home within 30 minutes and started right away. Trustworthy, honest, professional, and thorough are words I'd use to describe Mike and his services. Five stars all the way. read more

Overhead Door Solutions impressed me. A friend's rental property in Murietta had the garage door spring break. I read through reviews on Yelp for this business and a few others. I then called and obtained verbal quotes as to how much we could expect to pay and asked about availability for the next day. It was already passed 6pm, when I first called, I got the voicemail. I hung up without leaving a message but got an immediate call back from Mike, the owner. He provided me with a lower quote than the others I had called and was available the following day for the installation. For parts (2 springs) and labor, I was given a quote of $220. I let hm know that the occupants of the residence were tenants and inquired as to what method of payment would be sufficient. I was able to pay with a credit card. Mike advised that he would call me after he had completed the work and obtain the credit card info at that time and would then forward the paid receipt via email. When I spoke to him following the completion of the job, the bill was exactly as Mike advised it would be! No surprise price hikes! I can't answer as to his workmanship, but we received no complaints from the tenant. However, if Mike was as pleasant in person as he was on the phone, then I highly recommend him for your garage door needs. read more

I gave up saying I couldn't fix my garage door anywhere else, but this place fixed my garage door. Mike's work is amazing! I highly recommend this company.!! read more

Called and Mike answered the phone right away. He said he could come by a give me a quote in a few hours for my garage door that was backed into and off the tracks. Mike offered me a few solutions of repairing the door to function and save me some money or replace the dented panels. I elected to go with new panels and his quote was very reasonable. Mike replaced the panels and was very thorough and adjusted the open to work better than the other company that installed the door initially. I would highly recommend Mike and ODS you will not get better service or honesty and trust me I have called around. read more

I called Mike this morning because my garage door stopped working. Mike came out right away and of course, the door stopped malfunctioning and we couldn't recreate the problem. Mike was super patient, tested it a few times, talked me through possible issues and left without a service charge. I'll be calling Mike for any future garage door needs! Thanks, Mike - this mom and busy at home worker appreciates your quick response and customer service. read more

Our garage door collapsed, and everyone kept telling us we have to replace our door. He came and informed us we didn't have to replace the door but the necessary parts that needed to be fixed. Very professional and completed the job same day. Thanks Mike read more

So, it was Friday night and since I was ready to head out my garage door spring decided to break. Of course being new to the neighborhood and not familiar with any service companies out here, I decided to check Yelp for garage door repair businesses. Stumbled across ODS and couldn't believe all of the fantastic reviews. So I knew this would be the company I would have to try. Called and spoke to Mike, he came over and in 30 minutes had my garage up and running. Not only was it inexpensive but he provided quality work. Considering I have two other garages, I'll be calling ODS next time I'm in need of repair. Excellent work and highly recommend. read more

Prompt and very professional. Fixed the door and changed out the motor with a very nice model at a time convenient to my schedule. I would highly recommend this service for all your garage repair needs. read more

Overhead was very responsive when I contacted them initially about a broken spring. Even when running just a few minutes late, Mike communicated with me. This is the second time I've used Mike and Overhead Door Solutions. We were so pleased the first time that it was automatic that we would be calling him when our garage spring broke. I called and Mike was able to come out within a few hours which was awesome! He is friendly, does what he says, and knows what he's doing. If you're in need of garage door services, Mike is your guy! Mike came by to take care of my broken spring today in North County San Diego (via a home warranty service) - I was half convinced the warranty company wouldn't be able to get anyone out to me same day, but Mike was in the area and took care of business - not only did he replace the broken spring, but he tuned up the (very old, somewhat cheaply made) door segments, lubed up the moving parts, bolstered a few joints that were weakening or cracking and would likely fail, and helped tighten up /adjust the IR sensor so the door would stop crapping out so often. Gotta say he was super professional, very chill, took care of business and did it super-fast. And, best part, he handled my noob questions and concerns without making me feel like I was asking dumb questions (which I'm sure a couple of them, were). Definitely recommend Mr. Shehan as highly as I can, if you ever need a replacement or fix of this kind of thing at your home. He's solid people. read more

It is the first time that my wife and I wish to give 10 stars instead of 5. We called Overhead door solutions today. Mike was so pleasant to work with. Responsive, knowledgeable and highly professional. He showed up within hours and was so communicative since the first call. Mike had all the needed tools and parts with him in his well organized vehicle. Everything he carries was so neat. Completed the repair and addressed all maintenance needs for our garage door. Mike is an example of intrinsically motivated person, honest with the highest work ethics. read more

Great fast service and a reasonable price compared to others. Second time I use them and will only use them.

Mike came over and gave me an estimate that was half of what the first company I contacted was. He replaced the springs which had broken, the cables, and also upgraded the hinges on my 25+ year old garage door. We could not have asked for nicer, more honest person. He knows his stuff & doesn't cheat his customers. Wish he were a handy man, too! This place is starting to fall apart in places. Being disabled, we can't do most of the repairs that we would usually do ourselves.. He was truly a Godsend. Now this door is going to last longer than the both of us! He isn't the type that tries to mess with you on prices because you are 55+ like the first company did because they assume you don't know a thing about fixing anything, and in my case being disabled. Thanks so very, very much Mike. You have the same work ethic that my father had, and his before him. You're just a lot younger and that is very hard to find these days. Mike is a man that can be trusted!! Just an all around sweetheart. read more

Mike came to the house the day I called and was right on time. He fixed our bent door right away, but it turned out that we needed a new door opener unit. I called Mike Friday morning because Mesa Garage Doors didn't show up. He said he was super busy but would def be there. He gave me a call later in the day to let me know he was still hung up at a job but still would def be there. True to his word he rolled up about 8 or 9pm and had our door fixed in under 45 min. We were prepared to have to replace frame etc. cuz the door was basicly falling out of the ceiling but he took one look and said "nope, I can fix that". I know he saved us a ton. I was just so impressed by his work ethic. Call him and you will not be sorry. Our garage is soooo quiet now! read more

Mike has done numerous jobs for the property management company I work for. He is always reliable and, with me being a maintenance coordinator, it is a good feeling knowing I can count on him to get jobs done right and in a timely manner. He has even been to my house and helped with my family's garage door malfunction (even accommodated after hours because of our work schedules). I highly recommend his business to anyone in need. You will not regret it. Thank you, Mike, for your honest, hard work. As always, it is appreciated. read more

Couldn't have been happier with the service I received from Overhead Door Solutions!! I called on a Friday evening right at dinner time. Mike returned my call about an hour and a half later and said he could come by the next morning. He gave a two hour arrival time and arrived right about in the middle. He gave a quick quote and he was off to work. Got our somewhat simple problem fixed quickly and charged a fair price. Although I have nothing to compare it to I like supporting businesses where who you call is who shows up and he was all business while still being super friendly. Garage door repairmen are hopefully someone you only need to call once in a blue moon but if we need anything done again I'd definitely go with Mike and Overhead Door Solutions again. read more

These people are a rip off just off the phone looking for parts, and they guy told me he would change one spring for $225. People educate yourselves, the spring is on ebay or amazon for 28 bucks, takes about a hour of your time to pull a broke tension spring off and install the new one. Do t forget winding bars, just hearing his price to fix it was a eye opener. If anyone needs help just contact me, I can walk you through a broke spring or if your in the area I will do it for free to save you the hassle from dealing with these Rip off companies! Hit me up on yelp! read more

Mike is awesome. Even though he's super busy, he comes within a day. Did a tuneup on my garage motor because of issues. Since the unit was over 20 years old, it started acting up again. He came back the following business day and replaced the unit and applied the tune up cost to the replacement. Great deal. read more

Not that I'm complaining about having to open and close a garage door by hand but it's 2018 and I don't want to! So we called ODS and Mike shows up during the window he gave us. Very friendly and knowledgeable! I explained what had happened to the door and he took a peak at it and saw a broken part. Luckily he had the part on his truck so he got right to work repairing my garage door. He did notice that another piece had jammed into my motor and again he had a spare part he was able to fix that as well! Very very reasonable in pricing. I was expecting a higher number than what Mike quoted me. I'm very happy with being able to open the garage door remotely now. Thank you Mike and ODS! Customers for life! read more

Absolutely amazing! I called for a spring replacement and Mike was at our house in less than 30 minutes. Would highly recommend!
