My boyfriend and I stopped by for brunch at around 1:30 pm on a Sunday and we were thankfully seated right away despite the place looking pretty busy. The christmas decorations hanging from the ceiling were cute and there was a welcoming atmosphere. We ordered the steak and eggs, chocolate milk, and avocado benedict-ish. The chocolate milk was lacking in chocolate flavor and when the food came out, we were a bit underwhelmed by the presentation. As benedicts often come with potatoes/salad on the side, I was disappointed to see that it was just the benedict itself. My bf asked for his steak to be medium, but it looked more undercooked than requested. Otherwise, the meal wasn't bad and I appreciated the amount of avocado on both of our meals. The steak was flavorful, although questionably chewy at times. Overall, Over Easy Kitchen wasn't bad and is definitely a solid brunch spot, but I would say that there are better ones in the area.
Over Easy Kitchen is a breakfast and lunch staple in Central Jersey. I visited the the Holmdel location and they are focus first on providing excellent food, decor, and service. I definitely agree that their dedication holds true because of the the place was decorated beautifully with flowers hanging from the ceiling and sweet servers. I ordered the seasonal Ube Matcha and it did not disappoint! It was smooth, sweet, and tasted like high quality matcha. My only suggestion would be for it to have more ube because the flavor isn't too prevalent - however I still enjoyed it! So glad I stopped here for my morning pick me up and I hope to be back soon.
My friends and I had a decent time at Over Easy Kitchen. The ambiance was cute, and the menu was easy to understand. We were definitely pushed to order fast and leave quickly, which was not the vibe that we were expecting. Food came out reasonably quickly. I got the steak sandwich which had a pretty strong mustardy flavor. I was also expecting the onions to be a bit more caramelized. The meat itself was tender, but I didn't love the overall taste of the sandwich. Though we had an okay time, I think I'll be exploring other spots in the area next time!
This place gets busy all the time, but it is a wonderful place for a good breakfast or brunch. The service is always pleasant. The food is always fresh and delicious. The lemon ricotta pancake is one of my favorite pancakes that I have anywhere around. Their salads are very good and fresh. One of my favorite breakfast is a simple steak and eggs and it's always on point. This place knows what it's doing and the ambience is wonderful here too.
I had the Mediterranean Omelette and it was phenomenal. I would definitely order it again! The salad and omelette was delicious-i finished the plate. The service was good. I personally liked this over easy better than the one in Holmdel. Thank you!
Over Easy Kitchen is hands down my favorite breakfast/brunch spot in Marlboro! I've been here countless times and the food doesn't disappoint. They have come so far from when they first opened and the menu has expanded so much. The restaurant itself is beautiful, I would definitely recommend making a reservation if you are coming here with a larger group (especially on a weekend). Service is always excellent. There is always a delicious food or drink special on the menu, but I always find myself coming back to the banging chicken sandwich when I'm here for lunch. The coffee is awesome as well.
One of the best restaurants places in Marlboro, NJ for breakfast/brunch. I've been here a few times because of how close it is to my house, but I don't just come here because it's close, but because it's also pretty good! Compared to similar places like Turning Point, Almost Home general, the wait times to be seated here aren't hours long, the service is good, and the food is even better. The coffee here has always been enjoyably strong here and the london fog latte I had this time was one of the best london fogs I've had. The truffle mayo fries I think were okay. The lemon ricotta pancakes are always a favorite.
Came here with a group of friends for brunch and was seated immediately. Service was good, friendly and prompt. I had the chicken and waffle and a oat latte. The chicken and waffles was good and the latte is definitely better at coffee shops. Def a nice little place!
Excellent! Came here to celebrate a birthday. We made a reservation, because there is always a wait. (Worth the wait!) Service was exceptional. Food was amazing. Drinks were so tasty! BYOB also!!
Yummy brunch spot in Marlboro area that has really kicked it up a notch! Haven't been here in awhile but glad I made the comeback. Usually busy but staff is nice and accommodating. This place is BYOB and they have juices for champagne. Additionally they had some specials going on, including a Flan French Toast that was decadent!! I tried the fancy burrata toast and I felt real fancy! The burrata, pesto, arugula, and poached eggs were everything that I needed on a rainy Saturday morning. I was honestly impressed by how good it was. I would definitely recommend it as a nice savory brunch meal. Of course, we had to get the Greek fries on the menu!! We opted for the tzatziki sauce on the side, and boy, was that another great decision!! The fries were perfectly cooked, and the sauce was phenomenal and I wish I got some to go (lol). Can't wait to come back and get the fries. I tried the special, the flan French toast, and it was amazing - so sweet but man it was GOOD! The filling was sweet and it was just a great French toast -- no maple syrup was needed. Steak and eggs were also good! The iced hazelnut mocha drink was not the best, it seemed like they had barely mixed chocolate syrup into coffee, but I will stick to juice next time! I still have high hopes for my next visit!!
We didn't realize that you have to make reservations 24 hours ahead, so just a heads up when visiting. We arrived at about 10:30AM on a Saturday with a party of 6. we were able to get seated. However, we were asked to leave by 11:30AM due to other reservations that were to come. The restaurant is in a plaza, so parking is also a breeze. The décor inside was really awesome! They had two items on special. My cousin actually went with the one special for $20, a short rib eggs benedict served on a waffle. I did taste it, and it was delicious. The only thing I would have liked personally was. If I had ordered the dish, it was more hollandaise sauce. I went with the caramel dream for $6.00 along with the birria grilled cheese for $20.00. It was really delicious. The grilled cheese had short rib on it, which was outstanding. My only complaint is that it was a grilled cheese? And the cheese wasn't even melted. Be warned that if you do use a credit card, you do get charged an extra fee!
The food was great, but for brunch it was so busy that the service was scattered, the waits were long and we were there for two hours. If you have nowhere to be it would still be a lovely way to spend your morning/afternoon! We shared the steak and eggs (so good!) and the BEC Sandwich, which was fine. A little bland, tasteless cheese and bacon. I substituted home fries with french fries, which was a great choice.
Ok so the prices are a little steep. I'll say that right away. BUT, the quality of even one slice of toast that you're paying $16 for is worth it for the craft and quality of the dish. You're getting fresh, fresh, fresh ingredients that are bright, vibrant, and delicious. The toast itself is so beautifully toasted, buttery and almost caramelized to become something else entirely - a rich, slice of gold. The "C.R.E.A.M" (Brioche French toast, roasted peach, blueberries, matcha whipped cream, toasted oats, maple honey syrup) was incredible. The toast was more chewy and less fluffy than I would have preferred, but the combo of toppings was fantastic. Shout out to Pauli, one of the best servers. Full of funny quips and great recommendations on the menu. Along with the open air, bright, and light decor, Pauli definitely made it feel like a classy but approachable / chill place to get breakfast any day.

I was recommended by a few friends in town that over easy kitchen is a good spot for brunch. It sure did not disappoint, the lemon ricotta pancakes are absolutely to die for. Not too sweet which is exactly how I like it. read more

Very good breakfast spot. Not great however which is why this is a 4 star experience rather then 5. The restaurant is small so your guranteed a wait. You cannot make a reservation or call ahead. There is little room to wait if you choose. Our wait was 25 min but wound up being Atleast 35. The server was great very upbeat even considering she has several table since the place was crowded. Food was good. The lemon rigotta pancakes were amazing (pictured ) and the Mexicano panini was lacking flavor. Had breakfast for the first time here and it was great! Today was the grand opening as they doubled in size and made some renovations. The restaurant is well-lit and open concept with close to (if not more than) 20ish tables and bar seating. On a weekday around 10 am, about 3/4s of the tables were filled. Had the steak and eggs (steak well-seasoned and cooked perfectly). Comes with a side of avocado toast too! The lemon ricotta pancakes are AMAZING and great for sharing among 3-4 people. Coffee is tasty too. Will definitely be back! Next time will probably bring some champagne for mimosas :) read more

It's been over a month since visiting OE Kitchen, and after posting on both their Yelp and Facebook (which was not approved) pages about my experience and the dead fly in my meal, I have yet to receive either an apology, on an invitation back to redeem themselves. I guess this is one of those establishments who're so successful, they don't care about losing the patronage of one customer. Such a shame, I loved my meal until my disparaging discovery!!! read more
1nderful Brunch! This cute little space in a strip mall is the next place for your brunch. Cute interior, friendly staff and delicious food your in for a treat. I happened to go during the week, so it was less crowded; however the wait would have been 100% worth it. I ordered the Avocado Benedict at the recommendation of my server as I was torn between that and the "fancy" burrata and he said the Benedict! I'm coming back for your burrata don't you worry. Two thumbs up! Get there early to beat the well-deserved crowd. Ample parking lot with a convenient location in the heart of Marlboro. The restaurant is clean and stylish - the seating is cozy and comfortable. I appreciate that they didn't sacrifice comfort in the seating - they easily could've put another 5 tables in there and not considered comfort. My son and I shared the French toast and lemon ricotta pancakes. Both were outstanding. I'd recommend the pancakes over the French toast. We got there for the opening (8am) and the specials menu only had lunch-type dishes - I would've appreciated a breakfasty special at that time. But that's okay - it was all new to me. Service was great - everyone was friendly and kept my cup of coffee filled and warm the whole meal without my request. Fresh food. Generous portions. Will absolutely return. read more

My mother wanted to go out with the family for breakfast one morning and I had this place in mind, as I had been to visit Burger Bros in the same plaza a few days earlier. It wasn't a long of a wait at all for 6 people--about 15 minutes. We ordered coffee's--and usually breakfast places in Jersey like this are kind of meh on coffee--more diner style than anything so I was pleasantly surprised when taking a sip. We ordered two omelettes, the lemon ricotta pancakes, the belgian waffle with cinnamon apples, the chicken and avocado special and the burrata breakfast plate. Everyone loved their food! I haven't had ricotta pancakes in awhile and while sweet, hit the spot. Definitely want to try some of their sandwiches, as I saw them at neighboring tables and they looked great. Cute little place, we were very excited to try! Super friendly staff, seriously I think everyone said either hello, goodbye or both! NICE! S wanted a turkey burger but the waitress said it would take 25 minutes to make. Since they were closing in 45 minutes he went with the regular burger instead..was delicious and it looked super juicy!! Nuskeys bacon was very thin cut, we actually asked is that actually the right bacon because we've never seen it that thin, it's usually a very thick cut bacon. Waitress said it's the bacon that comes on the burger so I guess..hmmm looked like regular bacon, but was tasty. I had fancy toast, I should have read closer because it was small! I just was silly, assumed it would be two eggs, but indeed menu says 'egg' I just never expect to pay eight dollars for one egg, one slice of bread and maybe a quarter of an avocado...unless I'm having brunch in Manhattan of course! Cappuccino was perfect, but again small for price..will stick with Comfi or Kitchen Witch purely because of prices...would have been a five star if not for leaving hungry and feeling a bit ripped off...it's a suburban strip mall for goodness sake, this wasn't even organic!! We aren't in Manhattan any longer Toto! :( Kind of a bummer.. read more
First, let me say I love the concept of this place! An eatery that specializes in breakfast/brunch ( my favorite meal of the day btw) is a pleasant addition to this area. Now with that said, just like with any restaurant you have the good, the bad, and the ugly. Here's my run down: The Good: The food is simply delicious! You can certainly tell that your meal was prepared with the freshest ingredients possible! I had a grilled chicken panini with cream of broccoli soup and they were both perfectly prepared/seasoned. The soup was so lite and almost refreshing. I really enjoyed it. My co-workers also had similar feedback about their meals (turkey burgers, hamburgers, & eggs Benedict.) The menu is also really nice and simple and I really appreciate that aspect. I hate when restaurants have too many menu items. The decor is kind of modernized/chic farmhouse. It meshes together really well. The Bad: The space is super tight. The tables are in very close proximity to each other. It's so bad that you have to be conscious of scooting your chair back to get in/out your seat. This is particularly an issue if you are a larger bodied person. Also, you can overhear your neighbors' conversations because they are just about sitting in your lap. Additionally, the seats were cute but a little smaller than the average restaurant chair. So to all of the big booty Judy's our there, beware! They should remove about four tables and add larger chairs to make the seating a little more comfortable for everyone. The Ugly: The service was super slow! It took about 20-25 minuets for our food to arrive. Granted, we were a party of 6, but they are really going to need to pickup up that service. I counted two waitresses serving the entire lunch crowd and the place was packed. Once they work out the seating and the service I'll be back because the food was great! read more

Still thinking about the most delicious dishes I had here 2 weeks later!! Split the fancy burrata and the lemon ricotta pancakes with a friend. Both dishes had perfect flavor combinations and textures. Yum!! If you're looking for something tasty, I would avoid the classic breakfast dishes and go for something more unique! read more
I went here a few weeks ago for my birthday and came back a few days ago because I am obsessed with brunch here. One of my favorite things about any restaurant is when the menu has fun options on it. Yes regular options are important but have special things that are unique to the menu are my favorite things to order. First fav thing on this menu the Avo Roll.... are we kidding?? It's 1. extremely unique 2. stupidly delicious and 3. very cute (for my brunch insta gals). It's shrimp tempura rolled in an omelette with cheese (the cheese pull was insane) and had spicy mayo/sweet chili sauce on it. I would go back again just for that alone. Another favorite is the fancy burrata. They did a great job with the poached egg, and the combo of flavors was great. Personally I added the hot honey to it. I love the hot honey here and in my mind honey and burrata/ricotta toast are a match made in heaven. And they do have a ricotta toast option on the menu as well that I will be coming for next. Last honorable mention I have is the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes. blueberry pancakes covered in strawberry/lemon compote with thick homemade whipped cream. So So so good. This is a great place for a date, or a gals brunch. The waitresses were super sweet making sure my water was filled and making conversation. I love Chai latte's and they make the best one ever. I wish they made it in a much larger size. Food is really good but the noise level was incredibly loud today. I really enjoy fresh, quality food otherwise I never enjoy my meal. This is just that. Eggs Benedict with avocado is a great choice. Their balsamic dressing on salads is absolutely delicious too. It was warm weather in October today. They had the door open and I was attacked by 5 flies, no lie. I could not enjoy my meal. One kept landing on me I even killed one. Like you think the staff who is on top of you would take notice and do the right thing. Close the door! Nothing annoys me more in a life then a fly in a kitchen. No matter what I said I always come back and that says it all the food is exceptional. read more

I went back today and the staff got even more disgusting and rude. My mother and I stood at the front waiting to be seated with not even a hello or any acknowledgement. I warned my mom that this place was trash and I guess she just had to see it for herself. read more

I love this place!! A tiny bit pricier than some other breakfast places but I feel that it is worth it in soooo many other ways. Only downside would be the size of the restaurant, allowing a limited amount of customers. Food recommendations- lemon ricotta pancakes!!! The Cali Cobb salad, Greek omelette to name a few. read more

Very disappointed in the service and quality of food so will not be back. Entrees came out after 25 minutes but was missing one of the four people's meals. Over 5 minutes later came the last meal. It was as pictured which was their take on avocado toast. The half avocado as presented and piece of toast so hard I couldn't cut it. I told them to take it back and I was going to skip my meal. Funny thing is they used to present it much differently as can be seen in other photos on Yelp. read more
