The skewers are okay, I prefer other places only because when the skewers came out, it was not that hot at all which was odd. The place is very hard at hearing, so let's go to the food, the prices for the skewers were on par with other places nearby, the actual dishes, however, seem a bit steep. I would say the value for price is pretty close, but the seating left me a bit reserved about coming back, maybe on another day where they're not as busy.

Chicken, mixed greens, red cabbage, pickles, and a sauce the color of a polite sunset. I read that the sauce involves beets, which explains both the color palette and the faint suggestion that I was eating something that once grew in dirt and had ambitions. The sandwich was good. Not life changing, not tragic. The chicken was tender enough, the vegetables crisp, the flavors balanced in a way that suggested someone had made decisions and stuck with them. I drank a bottle of Turkish Uludag soda, which tasted like citrus with a hint of optimism. It whispered, "I'm like Fanta, but regional AND foreign, which of course makes me better." The place itself is clean and modern, with that fast casual confidence that says we take our ingredients seriously but not ourselves. They make a point of using fresh components and well seasoned meats that rotate slowly on a spit, absorbing flavor as time passes, much like the rest of us. Everything I ate was pretty good. Though the shrimp had flavor, each piece was in varying states of prep with some being cleaned while others had shell or tail or both. I know Biryani is a rice dish but I would of loved to have some other bits and bobs in the Biryani to break up paying basically $20 for some fluffed spiced rice. The onion salad? Let's just say truth in advertising doesn't live here. The menu photo suggested something bright and layered. What I got was $3 worth of plain sliced onions and a lemon wedge. The restaurant dining room is full of light, and tastefully decorated! We ordered from a large menu that offered lots of options. The appetizer tray held 8 uniquely seasoned dishes. Our chicken shish kabobs and lamb kabobs tasted great, having been marinated before cooking. The waiters were friendly and polite and took good care of us. We definitely plan to return!
