    NY Cheesecake with Raspberry sauce

Great spot. Went there Saturday. The restaurant is beautiful inside. Perfect for a date or special occasion. Service was fantastic. Our server Kristen was very good. We had meatballs and Zuppa d' clams for appetizers and they were delicious. Entree's were extremely good. I had a Paella that was on special for the night and it was great. Wife had the Carbonara and it was just as good. We had NY Cheesecake and Cannolis for desert that were wonderful. Restaurant is a BYOB but if you forget to pick up a bottle, they do offer a selection of local wines. Family run. Isabella introduced herself and greeted us which was very nice. I'll be going back soon for sure!

Great food and service. We got there just as they opened - delicious chicken dishes and calamari. Service was excellent as well.

Ending this year with a bang! We checked out Ruocco's Restaurant in Manalapan, NJ @ruoccosrestaurant and if you like Italian food, this place is a must try! For appetizers we got the Meatball Special, which is served with fresh Ricotta and Parmesan, Fried Calamari, and Spiedini Alla Romana. This was my first time trying Spiedini, and it was by far one of the best things I've ever tasted, I could have licked the plate. The Lobster Ravioli was so delicious, as was the Lobster Beurre Blanc and Jumbo Shrimp it was served with. The kids got the Penne Vodka, which was fantastic. I forgot to mention the bread which comes out crispy, warm, and fantastic. It was so good, and I believe it was noticed because we were quickly asked if we'd like another basket, excellent for dipping in all of these amazing sauces! We ended the night with a tartufo that was out of this world! Ruocco's is a family owned and operated business, and you can tell how much pride they put into their restaurant, this shines through with the level of quality and flavors of their food. Their food is a combination of old world comfort with a contemporary twist. The restaurant is beautiful, both inside and out, and you can tell that everyone there wants you to have a great dining experience. We can't wait to go back and experience the rest of the menu! I definitely recommend making reservations in advance. With the food being this delicious, they obviously book up quickly!

First time coming to Rocco's. When you walk in the owner greets you. He is very casual, friendly and polite. While we waited to be seated, we sat outside. After 5 minutes, the owner came out to ask our preference of where we would like to sit. Once seated, our server came over, introduced herself and asked if we wanted anything to drink. You need to bring your own, so this was soft drinks. We placed our orders and the Grandma salad and calamari were both excellent. Once we got our main dishes, I found my chicken parmigiana to be very thin and dried out. The sauce was on the bland side and the cheese not melted enough. My husbands dish was fair. He had the orchetti, sausage and broccoli rabe. It looked a bit brown but had flavor. Our friends the same but did not comment. The decor was simple but appealing and the bathrooms very clean. I may go back and give it another choice, but either so many Italian restaurants around, I'll probably go back to my favorite, especially since prices are just about all the same

This was my husband n I first visit to Ruocco's. My mom always raved about it. Well she was right. Food was amazing . We started with delicious Italian bread with some olive oil Then we had for an appetizer artichokes Franchise. Dinner for us was Chicken Sorrentino. Chicken was tender and eggplant was cooked perfectly. The sherry sauce was the perfect complement to this dish. Mom had chicken franchise her chicken was also very tender and the franchise sauce had a great favor. For dessert we ordered the mini cannolis omg the shell was crisp and the creme delicious. The ambiance was very nice. They have outdoor sitting as well. We left full and happy. We will be back and look forward to the new location in boynton beach Fla. . The Servers was friendly and attentive. It was a pleasure meeting and talking with the owner Stephen. Truly enjoyed our dining experience.

Previously a small cafe on Rt 9 in Howell they have moved North to Manalapan still on Rt 9 into a much larger space. Further they have a big outdoor dining area. We sat indoors and the room had a nice ambiance. Opting for just main dishes at this visit we were in and out of the place in about an hour. The service was alright but having to ask for certain things like bread we were a little put off. The food was very good however, please see my attached photos. So overall, not a bad dining experience and we will return again.

Everything here is delicious! I came on two separate occasions--once for a normal dinner and another time for Mother's Day. I ordered the pink panther both times and it is beyond delicious with a perfectly coated cutlet. I love chicken parm, but replacing marinara with vodka sauce is a game changer. Both times it didn't come with a lot of sauce, but we asked for a side of extra vodka sauce and they brought it out without a problem. On Mother's Day, they only had a limited menu available which my dad found disappointing, but their options were tasty nonetheless! Wished the pink panther came with a side of pasta instead of just vegetables. The orecchiette with sausage and broccoli rabe made up for the lack of pasta with my meal, packed with plenty of sausage and broccoli rabe. The arancini was my favorite appetizer, sooo cheesy. I love their dessert, the tiramisu and pistachio panna cotta were to die for. Friendly service and they are nice family-owned establishment. Our waiter on Mother's Day was so personable and hardworking. Something to note: They host events every so often like disco night which piqued the interest of my parents, so make sure to check their website for details. I highly recommend Ruocco's!

What can i say about Ruocco's. We happened to be greeted by the owner at the front door with a smile. Our server was excellent and the Chicken Parm may have been the best I've ever had. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a couples night out or friends night. So happy a friend turned us on to this place. I'd give it 6 stars if I could.

I ordered the pork chop and I swear it melted in my mouth faster than my paycheck disappears on Amazon. Perfectly cooked, juicy, and seasoned so well I almost stood up and applauded in the middle of the restaurant. Then came dessert... the cannoli cake. I took one bite and immediately started questioning every other dessert I've ever eaten in my life. Many of our friends have recommended Clarizio's to us but every time we gave thought about coming it has been particularly difficult to get a reservation on a Saturday night. I was working late on Saturday, so I was unaware that my husband was able to make a reservation for 8:30PM. Reservations are not made through Open Table. Instead, Clarizio's website send you to another site called Resy to make a reservation. What was shocking and disappointing is that Clarizio's hold your credit card number to secure the reservation and if you don't show a $25 fee is charged. My husband was so worried that they were going to count us as a no show because we were running a little late. He even tried to call to inform them that we were running late, but no one answered the phone. Luckily, Clarizio's called us because we were about 10 min late to inquire our whereabouts and we had just turned into the restaurant parking lot. Upon arrival, the hostess took us to a table set for 2 in a crowded dining room with all other tables holding large parties. Although it was crowded it did not take away anything from our wonderful dining experience! Our waiter John P was extremely nice and helpful especially after he learned that it was our first time dining here. Unfortunately, I was unaware that it was BYOB because I was working and was unable to check the website. Our waiter John eased our minds by saying that it was okay and that we would have to rely on their food to make a good impression. That certainly was no disappointment! Our food was so terrific, that we cannot wait to return and taste so many other delicious sounding items on their menu. John also told us that unless we have huge appetites, their entree portions were large enough to share. We were glad to take John's suggestion and shared the Zuppa di Pesce which was plentiful of shellfish in a tomato broth over angel hair pasta. We have had this dish in many other Italian restaurants and this was one of the best! This entree also came with one salad and I asked for an extra salad for me since we were sharing the entree. Not to go unnoticed was the crunchy outside and soft inside delicious bread. For dessert, we shared the Tiramisu suggested by John as it was his personal favorite. It was so light and flavorful that we too could make it our personal favorite! All in all this was a fabulous dining experience and I highly recommend this restaurant! Next time though, I will remember to bring a bottle of wine.

This is the kind of local restaurant that reminds you why neighborhood staples become destinations -- incredible food, genuine hospitality, and a menu with plenty worth coming back for. Owner Anthony was incredibly hospitable and took the time to come over and explain the thought and preparation behind several of the dishes, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Their bar pie has definitely gained some notoriety, and after trying it, I can see why. It's thin, crispy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Dave Portnoy definitely needs to add Mezza Luna to his list! The NY-style pizza was outstanding. Topped with freshly grated cheese, extra virgin olive oil, and fresh torn basil, it had the perfect char and was so good that I immediately wanted another slice. The house-made gnocchi in a blush sauce was another favorite. The portion was huge -- easily enough to share -- and the gnocchi was delicious. I also loved the Italian Dip. The sliced beef was incredibly tender thanks to the sous vide preparation, and paired with provolone and that rich au jus, it was the kind of sandwich I'll be dreaming about for a while. I love that Mezza Luna offers both a full dining room experience and a separate side where you can simply grab a slice. It's been a Manalapan staple for years, and it's great to see this local spot continuing to thrive and attracting people from all over who come specifically to try their pizza. We told her that wasn't necessary, we simply didn't want to be charged for meals we couldn't eat. Since half of our party had already finished eating, we didn't want to order replacement meals. When the bill arrived, the three returned meals were still included. At that point, we requested to speak with the manager. The manager's approach turned an already disappointing meal into an even worse experience. Instead of listening to our concerns, she repeatedly reminded us that she was "the manager," mentioning her title multiple times during the conversation. She loudly asked us several times whether we had eaten there before, creating an uncomfortable scene that seemed unnecessary. She also referred to the waitstaff as "children" and explained that they weren't authorized to adjust the bill--only managers could do that. Our response was simple: if the waitress didn't have the authority to resolve the issue, management should have been notified when we first sent the meals back. That could have avoided the entire situation. To her credit, the manager ultimately removed the returned meals from our bill. However, the way the situation was handled was unprofessional and lacked basic customer service. A little listening and empathy would have gone a long way. Unfortunately, our experience didn't improve with dessert. Based on all the positive reviews of the restaurant's bakery and desserts, we ordered four different desserts to take home. However, our order was incorrect....we received three of the four desserts we ordered, and the caramel stuffed cheesecake was replaced with a cannoli. Since I don't like cannolis, that was another disappointment. Of the desserts we did receive, the crumb cake and chocolate mousse cake were both very good. Unfortunately, the tiramisu was not enjoyable. It was disappointing that even the desserts, which had received such high praise, failed to meet our expectations overall. Sadly, despite the few items we did enjoy, the poor food quality, slow service, and especially the manager's handling of the situation left us with no desire to return. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant.

I came in on a weekday after 6 PM, and surprisingly, it was pretty empty. My friend and I started with the baked clams, grilled octopus, and poached pear salad. The poached pear salad was easily the star of the show, so good and definitely my favorite of everything we ordered. The baked clams came in second, while the grilled octopus unfortunately didn't do much for me. I just didn't love it.For my entrée, I went with the Money Bag- I read reviews where people said it was the best thing to get . It was good, but honestly, not anything that blew me away or made me think, "Okay, THIS is what everyone is talking about." We finished with the tiramisu and chocolate chip brownie explosion. The tiramisu was the clear winner for me. The brownie was fine, but again, nothing I'd be rushing back for. Overall, I'm glad I finally tried it and can officially cross it off my list, but I have to be honest, I don't really get the hype. Everything was decent, but nothing was amazing enough to make me want to come back. Maybe I went in with expectations that were too high, but for me, this was definitely a one and done... at least for now.
