I live in the area so I finally decided to give this place a try. I had such high hopes. My boyfriend and I liked the ambience. It has a breakfast at your family's house type of vibe. I asked the waitress what the fan favorites were and she suggested a pancake or an omelette. So we decided on the omelettes. Unfortunately, the omelettes were over cooked and didn't have much flavor :(. The potatoes didn't have much flavor either. To be fair, I like to give places a second chance so we will try this again in the future.

My husband, kids, and I stayed at the Great Wolf Lodge and were sick of eating Dunkin so we went to this place that we saw on our way to the hotel. SO friendly, nice atmosphere, and the food is yummy. We were unable to eat all of our food just because the portions are huge! The prices are very good. Would definitely recommend this place and will return the next time we visit. The following is what we ordered: German omelette, chocolate chip pancakes with home fries, toasted bagel, egg whites, ham, and the cranberry nut pancake. Drinks: coffee and hot chocolate!

Country decor, serving hot breakfast and lunch. Open early and close at 2 pm. I got the sausage and biscuits. It came with toast, home- fries and eggs. My niece had pancakes. They were ENORMOUS!!! And two stacked. So many choices looked great such as stuffed French toasts like banana and peanut butter. I can't wait to go back! Pack a cooler for your leftovers.

    Thick wonderful corn shower soup!

We we're looking for a new brunch spot not too far from our house and decided to try out this cute restaurant. The over easy Cafe has a warm, relaxing country charm about it. The staff was friendly and our server was excellent. I Wish I caught her name to give her credit. I ordered the Sterling omelet with spinach, mushrooms and provolone plus sausage. It came with toast and home fries. My husband ordered eggs with hash. All was very good with generous portions enough that I brought half of my omelette home! We definitely will return.

My second visit here and both times for breakfast. Short wait place is pretty busy on weekends. Food was very good and a lot of it I had a table near the kitchen service window so I saw a lot of goodness pass by as I waited huge plates steaming hot as they passed. Friendly waitress and a head popped out of the kitchen and asked how everything is. Top notch. Place is small and quaint clean and cozy. Lots of home made baked goodies. And a cute little gift shop with old school candy and gum pretty cool I don't take a photo but I had a hash and cheese omelette which was huge and tasty home fries and homemade raisin toast with iced coffee all was fabulous will return this will be my breakfast spot for sure I rarely give a 5 but this place is close

Awesome breakfast, friendly staff and priced accordingly. Been twice with family and it's worth the wait. Will definitely return for more.

Why closed? No sign saying on vacation or out of business. Just closed. Odd. It was Monday at 8:30 am. Should have been open.

I've visited several times and each time has been wonderful. Of the two items I clearly remember: the traditional breakfast sandwich was great. Bacon, egg, cheese, on a bulky roll. Easy to eat while driving, made fresh, tasty and sat well in my gut. This fine morning, I had the salmon bagel with the onion, tomato caper and hard boiled egg. While it couldn't eat it in car without a mess or bodies littering the streets, I waited until I got to the office. What I got was fantastic. Lots of salmon with cream cheese, sliced onion and tomato, and a condiment cup of capers. Slapped it all together (except the egg) and went to town on it. Good stuff. I can't say I've been in and ever found it to be backed up. Service has always been courteous, prompt, and attentive but not overbearing. While it is slightly off the commute route of rt2 ( but only about three Minutes off the exit. And drive right by that lowbrow Dunks), if you are coming from south of downtown Sterling on 12, it is an easy visit that will make your day a little better. And just for kicks, tell them Josh sent you. They'll have no idea who you're talking about but could be fun. I didn't keep track of the price today, but I'm usually getting out of there with something good to eat and a coffee for under 15 well-spent dollars. The place has a cool look to it. It used to be a couple different bank branches. Inside, they kept the vault door and used some of the safety deposit box doors as decorations. Pretty cool.

I got eggs, home fries, bacon, toast, and 1 pancake. There's a small parking lot and service was very friendly. I waited only a few minutes and my order was taken quickly. The eggs and toast were good. The bacon was okay - just normal bacon and not overly smoky. The home fries were also good. A little smaller portion, but they were cooked well. The pancake was super fluffy and tasted really yummy with the syrup. My only gripe was that it was cooked near or on something with garlic and parsley so about a third of it didn't get eaten. I went to bite into it and it was maple garlic town in my mouth and that threw me off. However, I was nearing on full anyway so I kind of was like eh it happens. I did let the server know before I headed out for future orders and stuff but I didn't want an extra pancake or anything since I ate a good bit of it. She was super nice about it as well. I got the check and left cash on the table. It was about $21 for the meal and 2 drinks. It's a cute little spot and I would go back probably just for the pancakes and the nice service.

The corned beef hash was excellent, and even as a picky pancake lover, I enjoyed mine. My partner ordered the country breakfast, but we received the wrong order with different specifications. We didn't notice immediately and started enjoying the hash. It took the servers about two minutes to realize the mistake and attempt bring us the correct order, they had hoped we hadn't started eating the hash meant for another customer. Although the mix-up was understandable, it was a bit frustrating not to get our raisin toast or runny, sunny-side-up eggs as expected. We stayed with the wrong order and our was brought back to the kitchen. The biggest drawback, however, is the outdated ambiance. I appreciate the vintage, long-time diner charm, but the decor needs some attention: the cups are showing wear, the shades are dusty, and the hallway to the bathroom feels cluttered. The bathroom itself could use a thorough cleaning, the soap dispenser was empty, and the backup pump wasn't working properly, making the space feel less sanitary. A small renovation to refresh the space while preserving its classic appeal would really enhance the overall experience.

We visited Sunday morning at 10 am., which is a busy time for most breakfast spots. Locals suggested the French toast or country breakfast were the recommended ordered. The farm has animals, fresh produce, live music, BBQ food truck, and The Haven food counter. The Haven offers made to order breakfast sandwiches, Haven potato patties, smash burgers, hot dogs, ice cream treats, soft drinks, plus beer, wine, and cocktails. There are ample picnic tables and wooden chairs spread out around the farm. I decided to order some food at The Haven, while there was a live music performance at the nearby barn. I ordered the Single Patty Smash Burger ($7 plus tax) and The Loaded (Potato) Patties (2) ($11 plus tax) at the counter. My food was brought out to me in stages when things were ready. The Smash Burger came out first, which was a well done grilled beef patty topped with lettuce, tomato, raw onion, and a zesty sauce on a soft grilled burger bun. This burger was a bit messy to eat, but pretty good. Next, one Loaded (Potato) Patty arrived since I was told the second loaded patty didn't come out the proper way and they would bring it out. The second patty arrived 7 minutes later with apologies for the wait. The fried potato patties are similar to latkes, topped with sour cream, bacon & cheese, which were very tasty. I enjoyed some of the live music performance as I ate my food. Overall, this food stand at East View Farm offered tasty food at a fair price. I would've gotten ice cream too, if I was still hungry.
