Visiting from Maui. It's cold here. Troy on the right and my husband David on the left

Love the potato Soup and always get it when I came in. Service was good but our waiter Kev would not even smile I even said kid you need to smile and not look so serious. He's adorable and would get more tips with a smile.

Filthy windows

Definitely not as good as I expected......let's start with the lone positive, and his name is Jordan. He is a runner, an utter delight, and a happy person. His quote of, "I get to work at my favorite restaurant, how cool is that!" was the highlight. From here, however, we go downhill.....let's get started with the filthy and streaky windows on the outside of the eatery. It would take just a moment to clean these and start with a good first impression. Then, my wife reported the ladies room to me.....toilet seat was broken, and the toilet tank was cracked and held together with tape. C'mon folks...... Food wise, my wife ordered the prime rib sandwich that was supposed to be on a baguette. It was as dry as a piece of sawdust and the meat was overcooked (as a side note, the tables on either side of us has to return their steaks to the kitchen as they were undercooked), as well as in a French roll. I ordered the blooming chicken sandwich, which was supposed to have blooming sauce on the bun (there was none). Highlights of this adventure were Jordan, the ice in the water was cold, and the French fries were seasoned OK.

Another Amazing meal at this Rogers Outback! Had the Blooming onion petals which I now like a lot better than the whole onion since all of the piece of onion is covered in breading, have to try the.spicy mango Rita it rocked! The blooming chicken sandwich was perfect and the baked potatoes soup was perfect on a cold night! Thanks Chrystal for the great service! Ask for Chrystal in bar area....sorry no pics I inhaled everything lol.

Filet Mignon and lobster tail

UNBELIEVABLE!!! We come here all the time. As always the food is consistently good for a chain steakhouse. BUT!!! The service is ALWAYS Hit-Or-Miss. Are waiters and waitresses are usually exceptionally good or great. Problems are with the hostess, and obviously management. Problems like this is ALWAYS a management issue. As a manager you are responsible for everything in your charge. This time is the last straw here. I'm Always fair in my reviews. CUSTOMER SERVICE HERE GETS 1 (star) With a restaurant that doesn't take reservations, coming early is recommended. We have a party of 11. Someone in the family always calls even though we are always told first come. Yesterday is the first time I called and was told "sorry we don't take reservations" and that was it. No options at all. When we got there was Not One Person waiting to be seated like there usually is. Telling us we have a 45 + minute wait. We never have a problem waiting. This time we are told a 4 HOUR WAIT! Because of all the Large Parties that are on what they call "Call Ahead" to save a spot. Now to me that sounds like RESERVATIONS!!! I know how the restaurant bizz works because I'm a Grillardin Chef. Very disappointed in management at this location.

That cheese pull

Y'all. First of all, when did we all just stop going to chain restaurants? We hadn't been to Outback in years, and I truly expected it to be trash. It. Was. Bomb. I wish we would've taken more pics, but we were too busy chomping. Jake (from State Farm) is hands down the absolute best server we've ever had (and that's coming from two former servers). Literally the only thing missing was Ryan Trahan.

Sirloin and two tails for $25. I know, right?
Zain K.

Kind of hard to beat the $15.99 steak and lobster deal. So much so that I added a second tail for $9.99 (the server was beyond excited; apparently no one had exercised this option before), choosing to do one steamed (the default) and the other grilled. Tip: the latter is significantly the better option. The steak itself was so-so, but everything else (tails, veg, bread, wine) was great. In fact, the following week I went to Bonefish and got the same thing ($31 with just one tail), primarily to compare notes, and I will unequivocally say I enjoyed my Outback meal more, even without taking price into consideration.

The steaks were tender and well prepared, the shrimp tasted fresh and well seasoned. The limited time street corn was really good. It's been cooked on one side. What's disgusting is, there's no way the waiter did not realize something was wrong and I'm sure the cook realize something was wrong, but they still served a fillet that was destroyed. It had the texture of a cheap cut of beef. When I told the manager, she looked at it and acknowledged that it was wrong and took it off of my ticket. The problem I have is that I lost the opportunity to eat out and those come few and far between. In writing this, I realize that I believe the cook should've been fired. Knowingly cooking something wrong, and then trying to serve. It shows intent and also disrespect for the customer.

The service started off fine, although the upstairs "patio" is way too hot even though it was only 80 degrees outside. The metal roof "loovers" seem to radiate heat. The wait for appetizers was short, but beverage service lagged well behind appetizers. We ordered our entrees and sides...and then WAITED. From the time we sat down till entrees came out, it was 1.25 hrs!! The restaurant was not busy. Then when we cut into our 6 steaks (not at the server's request, which is often customary at steak houses where we come from (Dallas) 5 of the 6 of our steaks were prepared incorrectly. All were over cooked - whether ordered medium rare or medium rare- all were done well past the requested level. Our waitress promptly and rightfully suggested we send them back. Which we did. Two minutes later, an obviously inexperienced manager shows up and rudely tells us it's "the lighting due to dining outside" that makes us THINK our steaks are overcooked. "Things can look more gray in natural light", he said. Really!?!? We said "excuse us...but no. These were prepared incorrectly." So he VERY reluctantly ordered 5 fresh steaks When those 5 came out, two that were ordered medium were very rare. And had to be returned AGAIN! They comp'ed us dessert as if that was going to make up for the abysmal service. NOT RETURNING - NOT RECOMMENDING.

4/22/26 This family…read moreowned business was highly recommended by a local friend and I had promised to check this place out the next time I was in town. Well Yelpers, I've found my new fave Northwest Arkansas restaurant! TBH, I wasn't sure what to expect when I arrived. It looked like a modernized restaurant with an open kitchen. I opened the door to the restaurant and waited to check in and a handsome young boy asked if I had reservations and I advised I didn't and he asked if I wanted to sit indoor or outdoor. He grabbed a menu and helped me to my table. I was quickly greeted by a staff member and given a glass of water and was told that there isn't an assigned server but that multiple staff members will work together to attend my table. After eating American and Italian food all week on my business travels, I was craving some authentic simple home cooked food and this location brought me virtually home for dinner. For those of you that know me or have been following my review journey, have gotten to know my household ethnicities. When I saw the House 1830 Menu, it was a delightful mix of Vietnamese and Laotian food! The color purple was present from accent walls by the kitchen to my cloth napkin on the plate sets, to the "seasonal" menu font color all tie together with staff uniforms including the outdoor purple umbrella above the outdoor seating space. They even have custom pillows on the bench seating with the House 1830 logos. Susana, one of the owners came to greet me and asked if I've been here before or if it's my first time. She shared that her husband Binh was the head chef today and many patrons typically think it's a fusion restaurant but it's really a family inspired menu that keeps the food as authentic as possible. Binh is Vietnamese and their sister in law Bé is Laotian. I didn't have the pleasure of meeting Bé as she was celebrating her birthday elsewhere as she should. Susana shared that her contribution is the inspired cocktail menu...which had so many yummy options that you don't see anywhere else. They had a Lychee Martini on the menu but I see it often everywhere so I ordered the Longan Martini to try and it was delish! I started with my roots and ordered a Vietnamese House Sampler described as a sampling of the crowd favorite starters. Cha Gio | Mini Banh Xeo | Bo Xien Tam for $21. The eggrolls were crispy and had the right amount of filling well seasoned, the Bite-size Banh Xeo shrimp crepes was light and the flash fried marinated beef skewers were seasoned to perfection with a family marinade. Lettuce, cilantro, mint along with the various nuoc cham (dipping sauces) were great! I didn't want to fill up as I wanted one of my favorite Lao dishes Nam Khao - Crispy red curry seasoned rice combined with small chunks of cured pork, and spices. It comes with lettuce, mint, cilantro where you can eat it like a lettuce wrap or eat it as is like fried rice for $18. This light entree for me hit the spot. The staff was exceptional, occasionally stopping g by to check if my water was ok or if I needed anything. I went to check out the bathroom to wash my hands and thought the wall murals were trendy and happy to see the restrooms were clean. I stopped at the open kitchen and complimented the chef and his staff on my delicious meal. They were very cheery and thankful for the compliment. Went back to my table and contemplated another cocktail or dessert but I was really beyond stuffed and figured I'll be back and to save options for my next visit. Chef Binh stopped by my table and we started talking about a little of everything. The restaurant concept, the seasonally inspired menu and to keep things fun for regular diners, shhhh....you didn't hear it from me...but there's even a secret menu that changes often! You'll have to ask or sign up to get the details! You don't get many seasonal menu options from Asian restaurants so I love that they have a seasonal menu and a secret one that only the special members know about! Come check out House 1830! You will not be disappointed yes, I'll be back to visit Binh, Susana and team! Thanks for the hospitality! Thank you, Zerric for the best recommendation! Xoxo

The restaurant is tried and true, understated elegance , attentive service. All those things are still true. My husband ordered the wagu special. The meat was very very tender. I had the 7 ounce filet. As usual, we shared tastes, and we really couldn't tell flavor difference between the two meats. The filet is still that good. I also ordered the mushrooms as a side. A very generous portion came and they were fine. Not amazing, but fine. Our waiter treated us to a lovely strawberry cheesecake and we really liked it. It was light and flavorful. A nice end to a heavier meal. We like River Grille. We truly do. But there was something that didn't resonate as in the past. Maybe the addition of so many other restaurants in the area that also offer wonderful food has shadowed the specialness of this place. Maybe it was a few things that didn't show attention to detail as we were accustomed. We will go again? Of course.
