Stellar customer service from the time we entered until the time we departed. On a casual Wednesday we stopped in for a quick birthday lunch for my mother. We were seated as soon as we entered which was cool. Our waitress Michelle was beyond great. I started off to drink was a Kiwi Rita which was really good sweet flavor with a margarita twist. While the rest of the table decided to start with water lol I browsed the happy hour specials. The happy hour drink selections were pretty good it included draft beers, mixed cocktails for only $5 a piece (specific types) and other options. The $5 drinks were actually a pretty wide variety of more than like 13 drinks which shocked me. Woohoo there Outback. For my meal I went with the limited time special of the Wine down Wednesday which included A Steak , Baked Potato with all the fixings bacon, cheese, sour cream, scallions yummy. If not a baked potato fan you are able to choose from various sides listed in the menu. To top it off you can choose a draft beer to wash your meal with or a Cold Coca-Cola product to drink. All of this is included in the pricing of $9.99. You just cannot beat that deal. The steak was cooked to perfection seasoned with the right spices. Medium well all the way through totally delicious. For my mothers birthday the staff came out and song a nice quick and easy song. It was very pleasent no one seemed as if it bothered them to come out and sang a long. The staff was super nice. Michelle as a waitress was kind, attentive, and very respectful of our time. I would totally be dining at this location again. When the best part of your meal is cheese fries it's a really bad meal. I ordered the 1 pound of crab. Being itb I know what a pound of crab looks like. This was the smallest snow crab available, I'm sure. It was freezer burned, stringy garbage. The legs were only slightly larger than a pencil, some not even. No cracker making eating the claw portions impossible. No taste whatsoever. Told our waitress it was horrible, tasteless and that the portion was well short of a pound. Her reply was astonishing. "Do you want your bill?" I laughed and said I guess so. If you are going to ask how everything was and you don't listen or care about my answer then don't ask. Guessing she is new and not trained. Never saw a manager on the floor for the hour+ we were there. I realize it's a steakhouse but they used to be, at least, decent. I'm embarrassed for the entire staff. If I worked in the kitchen, I wouldn't put that on a plate and serve it. Wait staff needs attention desperately. No managers anywhere to talk to. If there were 20 having dinner at 6:30 it would shock me. Going downhill fast. I don't expect anyone from this location to contact meas it is clear that no one reads the reviews . 1/7/18- Again they advertise something but when you order it it looks nothing like it. I had the fillet mignon and a very small tail. Surf and Turf. It was tastey but looks nothing like their advertising . I have no need to ever go back plus they have only one Pinot Grigio and it's cheap did I say cheap. Server was adequate. Not busy so we received our menus right away. 3 others at the bar ordered and approximately 15 minutes after they ordered the bartender/server asked if we were ready, we were more than ready 14 minutes ago! Everything we had was good: Caesar salad, prime rib, filet mignon, loaded mashed potatoes, sweet potato, fresh vegetables, and brownie with ice cream desert. The warm bread was also good. Service was accurate and attentive. No sharing charges. For the price I didn't have high expectations but their baked potato soup was better than any other place's. The steak was good too and they were very efficient. This Outback "used to be very good", but a few weeks ago me and my wife sat down and after sitting down and waiting 10 mins no one came to our table to take our order, so we got up and left and went to Bonefish Grill instead across the street! And before this incident the times before the quality of food and service wasn't very good. So, I said never again do I come back here, but we got some gift cards for Christmas and went back to use them and my salmon was way undercooked, the brought our appetizers at same time as our meal basically because they forgot to put it in. Outback is Outback. I like my steaks rare and this is one of the few Outbacks that doesn't overcook it. This one differentiates itself on service. I never saw such teamwork - because they truly wanted to help each other. If one waiter was busy, another one would fill in gaps. The owner would too and he is a pretty good server himself. The bartender/server Dana is delightful. Very sweet and helpful. I ordered the lunch size prime rib sandwich with grease veggies. The veggies were cooked perfectly. The prime rib sandwich was a disaster. Big nice bun 7 mushrooms and very little cheese and 3 tiny dried out pieces of prime rib. I showed it to my server and she swiftly picked it up to have it remade very quickly someone brought me a replacement sandwich and I could actually identify it was a prime rib sandwich!! One thing I did discover... the bone in rib-eye char grilled is amazing so so good and I tried the boneless also and it was good but not as good as the bone in. If you order "to go", they regularly split one house salad into two containers making it 'two' salads. We're convinced the managers are buying much cheaper cuts of meat and charging the customers for the more expensive cuts. Quality, meal prep, flavor are all way worse than horrendous. Came to Outback Pompano Beach, shortly after it's grand opening. My husband ordered the ribeye with asparagus, steak was 80% fat and very little meat. The asparagus was soggy and overcooked. I ordered the Alice spring chicken with blue cheese and pecan chopped salad. The chicken was covered in cheese and bacon over thin over cooked chicken filet and the salad was drowning in dressing. Perhaps they were working out the kinks in new restaurant. We were invited to a family birthday dinner another night, table ordered the blooming onion appetizer which was just a greasy pile of onions. Chicken and shrimp pasta dish was mediocre, the shrimp was definitely not fresh. Twisted ribs were breaded and fried and doused with some mystery sauce, the 6oz steak looked like a finger stick. Another member in our group ordered filet mignon-medium and it came out well done, inedible. Strawberry cucumber lemonade had a slice of red onion, we're assuming left over dirty glass.
