Food was good, but service was questionable. Called ahead for a table for six at six. Two in our party arrived at 5:30 and were told they'd have to wait (no problem, they were early.) not the nets attitude from staff. I arrived with my husband and two kids (4yr old and 16mos) and it looked like I was breathing their air. We were seated immediately, then waited.. we waited for drinks, waited for extra bread to keep the toddler at bay, waited a long time for dinner to come out (and the server did not ask to help us accommodate our screaming, hungry baby.) I know I went to a 'finer' restaurant with kids, but they were not so busy as to be unable to accommodate a table of six with two kids. read more

You know that you're in trouble when the person to seat you isn't anywhere to be found. Finally seated. Order filet medium, NY strip medium rare. Twenty five min. later server says they had to cook a different steak because the first one was over cooked. Food arrives-- filet is rare- NY strip is well done. If you want steak done properly go to Longhorns. Even Tim Gannon wouldn't eat in this place. Bob E. Salt Springs. FL read more

If I could give this restaurant 0 stars, I would. Server was decent but that was about the only decent thing I can say about our experience at this restaurant. We waited over an hour AFTER ordering to receive our food, only to have it come out incomplete and have to wait even longer for the situation to be remedied. Then when notified of this, the manager came over and provided nothing but excuses as well as NO apology for the mistake. We also received an unnecessary and completely inappropriate attitude from the "manager" herself before she walked away from our table, just adding onto the overall aggravation of our visit to this restaurant. Save yourself the trouble and just drive the extra 5 miles to the Outback on 200! read more

I've reviewed this location before because it was terrible and let me tell you I gave it another chance (after three years away) and it was one of the worst steakhouse experiences I ever had! My companion and I each ordered filet mignon medium rare. When it came out it was charred to a crisp on one side and uncooked and grey on the other leaving it bloody bloody rare. Two raw steaks was what we got and they were completely inedible. We were so turned off we asked for a refund but they wanted to charge us for soup and salad. The manager gave us a full refund and I will never eat there again. read more

This is based on their curbside service. They told us 20 minutes - well, that was actually more like 50 minutes. I pulled up to the restaurant and all the curbside spots were taken. After 15 minutes, I was finally able to park curbside, and then waited another 10 minutes. I finally called inside to tell them I'm waiting, so they came out to take my payment. After that, I continued to wait even longer for my food. So, to recap, my order that was made at 6:25, with a "It'll be ready in 20 minutes" guarantee, was finally given to me at 7:????? I don't know the time because I'm still waiting, but it's now 7:25. read more

Engh. This is my only description for outback completely average and overpriced at that. I ordered a medium well bloomin burger from the lunch special menu and she had forgotten to mention the horrid sauce that comes with it. It tasted like horse radish and ranch. The burger and bloomin onion however was extremely well cooked the service was okay and my mother's French onion soup was good however her chicken tacos were dry and had little flavor, But oh my the pricing. A drink costs 2.99 $ just a normal drink the same price as a lemonade but the lemonade isn't free on refills. Had it not for the deals for the lunch specials no way would I have eaten here. It's just average and overpriced. read more

Outback is still one of my all time favorites. You just can't go wrong...prime rib is one of the best I've had anywhere (when I think of Outback, I think meat...steak, prime rib, etc.). Hand cut fries (also a favorite of mine), great salads, warm brown bread...my mouth is watering already. Do not pass up the cheesecake...I have yet to find one better than at Outback. I'm so happy when I leave Outback, my tastebuds are in heaven, my tummy is in heaven, and I'm so full I look like a stuffed tick. Need I say more? read more

The food is great! My review is more based on the fact that tonight I saw my life pass before me eyes. I started choking on a piece of steak. And although that is no ones fault but my own, the MANAGER, never once felt the need to stop by my table. Even the server just continued to do her job as if I wasn't choking to death! Finally after standing up and throwing up the piece of steak, I could breath. It was a tramatic and embarrassing experience. The entire restaurant saw what happend. I was in the restaurant business for many years...... I known for shore ..... my situation could have been handled better and a simple visit from the manager could have made a ahuge difference. read more

Omg the Lamb is awesome. Good way to spend Mother's Day The service was awesome as well.

Best Burnt food in town! Nothing like being served a plate full of burnt cheese fries to the point of where the cheese wasn't only melted, was like toothpaste. Chris...some manager there asked what was wrong....was upset that we didn't want to eat that pile of burnt-ness and copped an attitude. I asked for the owner and I rarely do this. He avoided the question and only gave me a name and avoided when they will be available. I went back specifically to see the owner about two weeks later and I found her and we talked lots about Chris. read more

We had an excellent meal here for my husband's birthday. In fact, he's had several birthday dinners at this Outback and never have been disappointed. Service was prompt and friendly and the food was perfect. Our steak was done perfectly and our salads were fresh. Would definitely return read more

Not up to the same standards as others of the same brand. Not sure why - maybe bad managers or something in the internal culture. Very slow service. It's reflected in the guest count - 7:30PM on a Sunday and it should be slammed but there is literally no one waiting. read more

Dirty mop water smell. I have several attempts to deal with it. I just can't how come no one else smells it?

As expected, my children had steaks with fries and I had salmon. The salmon was a little dry.

I fully enjoy Outback on a regular basis. This one has some great servers but also some that are not enthused to be working in food industry. The chef's are usually right on point with cooking the steaks as ordered. And the food is usual presented in a semi-professional manner as would be expected in this type of atmosphere and price of entry. The only area of opportunity this location has is it's the closest to the forest, and this the clientele is a bit ruff compared to the SR200 location by the mall. read more

This is our Go-To placemon Fridays. We eat at the bar and get excellent dinner service.

Food was excellent when we finally got it! Waited 20 minutes to b seated, got lukewarm coffee & probably waited 20 minutes for food. Waitress cheerfully made fresh coffee & brought 2nd loaf of yummy hot bread. Good meal just really slow today read more

We had Mother's Day lunch here and were pleasantly surprised with the service, quality of food and overall experience. It is a chain so don't expect anything spectacular however, it was good quality chain food. I steer clear of these places because of their sodium content. But if you do your research in advance you'll know just what to order to keep things 'healthy'. read more

Went here for our anniversary dinner. The service was good and the steak was good/cooked as ordered but, the caesar salad had brown lettuce pieces in it :( For the money it costs I would expect to have a fresher salad. read more

Sorry but can't take the rejection anymore, 3 times try to get in and 1-11/2 hr delay, wanted to sit at the bar they couldn't make up their mind so we said skipit last opportunity for them!!! read more

We drive from Gainesville to go to this Outback Steakhouse. The food, drinks and service are always top notch. As for the outback in Gainesville, you never know. read more

Great food, great service. Had an enjoyable meal with family. Steak and seafood was done perfectly. I wish Outback would serve more versions of lamb. read more

Unhappy experience, after 3pm to eat an early dinner. Would not seat us at a booth, there were two of us. Had to speak to the manager before we could be seated at a booth even though the restaurant was almost empty. They wanted to seat us at an bench table. The knife and fork were dirty and we ask for new ones we never got. We retrieved them from the empty table next to us. The salad was the worst I have ever had, old lettuce and warm. The baked potato was hard, cold and dry, maybe yesterday's potatoes. The chicken tenders were overcooked and no sauce was served with them, had to ask for it. The Alice Springs chicken was ok. We will not go back. Barbara L. read more

Got a GREAT steak and lobster tail here the other day. Outback's steaks are pretty predictably good. After several bad, overcooked lobsters at other restaurants, it was delightful to receive a perfectly steamed lobster tail here. In fact, it was delightful to be able to chose a steamed lobster over a grilled one. Grilling dries lobster out, and I don't like it. The waitperson was outstanding, and we left with a great opinion of the place. read more

This is the most disgusting restaurant I have ever had the misfortune to eat at. I dropped my napkin on the floor under my booth and when I went to retrieve it I found the most filthy sight I have ever witnessed. There was old petrified food, a plate with half eaten rotten food, dead roaches and other disgustingness under the booths. The service was the worst I have ever had in a restaurant and the food was of such low quality I wouldn't feed it to maggots. By the time I got my food it looked like it had been cooked, let sit under a heat lamp for an hour and then reheated in a microwave. When I said something to the manager that my food was terrible and it wasn't even what I ordered in the first place he said there wasn't much he could do and "everything looks good to me". NEVER AGAIN!! read more

I just stopped by here today as of 6/15/15 and food is awesome. Aussie fries was tasty but missed its famous seasoning of some kind. But tasty otherwise. The server, Alison B, is super fast and professional and friendly. She definitely made my visit enjoyable and I will come back here again next time I am in the area. Hopefully aussie fries will be better. I also had salmon and broccoli and it was done just right! I used leftover ranch dipping for broccoli and wow tasty! read more

Excellent service and high quality food! Everything was hot, prepared as we ordered and delivered quickly! We've had negative service as of late in our hometown Outback so we thought we try another location to see if it was a chain issue or local. I had the small Victoria's filet and my husband had the rib eye. His potato was barely warm but mine was hot. I had mixed veggies perfectly crisp and hot; he had salad. Gives up hope as we always enjoy Outback. Since we're just visiting chances are we won't be able to return soon. read more

Great meal here tonight. My friends and I received great service from zack. (Hopefully I spelled his name right). Food was delicious!

Nope. Just, nope. Walked in on a Wednesday. (The slowest day of the week) and it took 20 minutes, in an almost empty restaurant, for us to be seated. After getting our drinks we ordered our food. We figured that after we ordered, they would bring us some bread to tide us over. Nope. Didn't even say sorry when we asked. The answer was "I forgot". We got our food (two steaks, one medium/rare and the other rare) I don't know if they know what rare means back there. I've worked in a kitchen my whole life and there's a difference between medium/rare and still mooing. I sent mine back and told the waiter just to have them stick it back on the grill for another minute. Yeah, didn't happen. At least this time it came back out rare. I gave up, ate the outside and took the rest home to cook myself. The waiter didn't even ask if we wanted refills or dessert. Just put the check in front of us and said "you can pay whenever you're ready". So as I said as the start, Nope. Just nope. read more

On May 3, 2017 this Outback location practiced racial discrimination against an African American 16 year old celebrating her 16th Birthday. When it came time for the Birthday cake to be delivered the server brought the cake with no candle on it and said the staff was too busy to sing Happy Birthday! However, just moments before the table directly behind had a cake delivered with a candle and the staff sang Happy Birthday; by the way, that table was an all white group. It's shame on this restaurant that they practice such open racism. If you feel strongly about equality, don't spend your money here! read more

Had dinner on Tuesday around 6:30pm. Party of 4 and 2 out of 4 got the worst food ever at an Outback. One dinner ogre red came out wrong and had to be sent back while others are there dinner. This would be an easy one I guess medium cheese burger...came out burnt with cold French fries. Very disappointed in Outback..longhorns is excellent in food quality compared to Outback. read more

I've eaten at this Outback several times and the food and service was excellent. However today I ordered a take-out. I requested my steak to be medium well, but when I got home and opened the box, the steak was well and truly overdone and hard to cut with a steak knife. The Baked Potato also looked like it had been baking for hours. Very disappointed especially as it was my Birthday! Will definitely eat at Outback again but no more take-outs. If that meal had been served to me inside the Restaurant, I definitely would have returned it. read more

I wouldn't really consider myself a picky person, but my last visit to Outback has pushed me to write this. Until now, I've never had bad food or service there. Last night, I was out with a friend and her family because it was her birthday. Nothing extravagant, just a nice night out. Here is a preview of our evening: being told the wait was 40 minutes and then having to wait over an hour to be seated (being passed up several times over for other parties), one of my party receiving food that was not good (and being told we were wrong, it is just fine because it is a "pre-cooked mix" but it would be taken off the final bill), having to ask MULTIPLE times for silverware (and then being insulted one of those times), our waitress never coming to remove any of the dishes / empty glasses (and in fact kept adding more and overcrowding our table), asking for a manager MULTIPLE times and never getting one until the end, and then said manager handling our situation in an inappropriate matter after the soup was not removed from the bill...it's safe to say we are never returning. I know it is just a chain restaurant, but as someone who worked in a customer service position for almost 10 years, I know the way we we treated is completely unacceptable. The manager that spoke to us (Shannon) was extremely rude and sarcastic. Our food was comp'd and a gift card was thrown down in front of the birthday girl with a request to come back before the manager stalked off fuming. I've never experienced anything like this at any place I've ever been to nor have I ever been treated this way as a customer. I absolutely do not recommend this Outback due to their incredibly rude management and their short-sightedness of what happens when you treat customers like they are incompetent and not worth your time. read more

Great meal excellent place nothing to complain about service was excellent the food was out of this world the sirloin steak was juicy

just a little about me, i,ve been involved with restaurants most of my adult life, and find everytime i eat here i,m impressed. the food is always good ,this time 8/21 this year; i felt a little under the weather, so i ordered take out. even there i could not find a flaw. in my opinion anyone who would write a bad reveiw of this fine place is either too picky to eat out or looking for some kinda freebie, and believe me, i,ve had my share of both lol keep up the good work folks and never mind who i am, but i am a 30% tipper well deserved. thank-you read more
