My wife and I have been here before and never been disappointed. This time around we decided to try something new and felt the same as before about Outback. A solid steakhouse to grab some decent flavored steaks! The lighting is always nice and the service was fast. For food we both ordered the 15oz Delmonico Ribeye, she got baked potato soup and mashed potatoes. My sides were fries and the Tasmanian Chili. The steaks were both cooked to the temp we asked for (medium) and they both were flavored really well. They advertise the Delmonico as having exceptional marbling. This being said, my steak was not very tender. I had to chew a little bit each piece before I could swallow. My wife on the other hand , thought her steak was tender. For our sides, her soup was tasty and flavorful and my chili was flavorful as well. The chili was supposed to be a little spicy but I personally did not notice any kick. My fries were seasoned well and her mashed potatoes were ok. Overall, we will always comeback to this location and I definitely suggest coming here. read more

We stayed at local hotel on our drive south and wanted a Comfort meal in our hotel room. Reviews here were so negative we were hesitant to order. Our carry out was delicious! OK, so I base my reviews off of comparable restaurants in the same chain or type. So giving this outback a one star means it is the worst Outback I've ever been to and not by a little. We both ordered an 8 ounce filet mignon, medium . They both came out rare to medium rare. We sent them back and they came out well done. No manager came out to check on our steaks or to see how things were. Actually we never saw a manager. I knew I should've walked away when I walked up outside, it looked like two gravesites with fake flowers on them, the most gaudy decorations I've ever seen at a restaurant. Whoever cleaned the glass on the front doors looked like they took the toilet cleaning rag and wiped the glass down on the front doors. I almost walked away before going in. I wish I would've. The bread was hard. It tasted like it came from several days ago. The baked potatoes were well cooked for days. This was lunch time so everything should have been fresh. These were leftovers. Thank goodness I never have to come back to this outback again. The company needs to find a way to fix this restaurant quickly, or they will lose it. read more

My husband and I visited Outback Steakhouse for lunch today. I want to start by saying our waitress was excellent--very attentive, friendly, and made sure we were taken care of. Unfortunately, the food did not meet our expectations this time. We didn't bring it up during the visit, but it was noticeably lacking compared to past experiences. We also noticed some changes in the restaurant, including large plaques sitting in the corner. We weren't sure of their purpose, and they seemed a bit out of place with the overall atmosphere. We've had better experiences here before, so we're hoping this was just an off day. We truly appreciated the great service and hope to see improvements with the food on our next visit. read more

I'm giving this a 5 bc it was so bad that the score reversed itself and went from 5 to 0 and back to 5. So basically it's a negative 5. I ordered a Delmonico ribeye. I'm not sure what the hell piece of meat came out. I sat at the bar and the bartender was fine. Seemed very frustrated w everyone but again, she was fine. Now to top it all off.... No shit.... One of the servers was walking behind me after picking up a drink at the bar and he completely belched/burped basically on my head. At this point I can only laugh at myself for coming here. We hadn't been to Outback in a while, so we decided to stop in for Sunday dinner. We had Miller as our server, and he was fantastic, super attentive, even with what seemed like a short-staffed kitchen. Our drinks were hit or miss, but they did have a new bartender working when I visited. There is plenty of parking and the restaurant was clean. Food: Shrimp and chicken pasta 8/10 recommended by the waiter Salmon 8/10 Drinks: Sangria 9/10 Boomerang 8/10 good, but I don't like the flavor with the black seeds around the rim. The only reason I would leave a two star review would be that my server was so sweet. The food is so disappointing!! They didn't have the wine I ordered so they slipped me a cheap screw top that is a $9 bottle of wine. Yes, I looked it up. They said the manager said it would still be the $30 charge and that it was comparable. Never saw the manager. This manager needs to be fired!! No where to be seen. I ordered the soup and salad. The potato soup was probably the worst I have ever had. It had no flavor and was worse than if I had opened a can of Campbells. No wonder this Outback steakhouse in Macon has a 2.7 rating. We went last night and the service was terrible. I ordered a beer, that I never got. My wife wanted Tuesday's Tails, but it was not on the menu so she asked our waitress for the price. She said with 6 oz. Sirloin $22.99 and $24.99 with a 8 oz. Sirloin. She ordered the $24.99. I ordered two different salad dressings, got one. We waited about 45 minutes for our food. Waitress never checked on us. When she brought the check and I told her to take off the beer I never got, she said oh...you didn't get your beer., no apology at all, terrible attitude. Then they charged us $27.99 for the $24.99 steak The waitress brought take out boxes, but never brought my dessert that came with my meal. She sent the manager over and her attitude was no better. I've tried this place in person and via delivery. I've regretted both. My friends and I went in and they never brought out some of our food. My friend was walking out the door when they brought her meal and she ended up getting a refund. Service was slow, sloppy, random, and incomplete. We are traveling and stopped over for the night in Macon. we arrived at This Outback around 8pm. There were plenty of open tables, however several still had not been cleaned after the last guests had left. The host brought us around to a tiny table/booth at the bar...one chair on one side and tiny booth on the other. The larger booths were empty but had not been cleaned yet. We had just driven 6 hours & My husband said " We are not sitting at that table, we will sit here when you've cleaned it off." The young host proceeded to move what was on the table to another dirty table and wiped off the table and we sat at the larger booth. Soon the waitress came to the table (Julie) she had an awesome personality and she was very attentive. She brought out some water and bread while we decided what to order. We ordered the Coconut Shrimp which was good, my husband thought a little overcooked. We ordered a Regular hamburger with everything on it to share it since it was so late. Julie asked how we wanted it cooked and we said " Medium". We watched as several of the employees just walked past dirty tables. An older couple came in and the bartender got them and brought to the table behind us which was also still dirty. Mind you...she's been steady working at the bar with her customers. She promptly cleared, wiped the table and swept underneath the table while the couple stood and watched. Our burger and fries was brought out to the table. The Burger was a decent size with a very small bun and small serving of fries. The Burger was cooked "rare" (pink inside). I was hungry and decided not to complain and just ate it anyway. The host sat down at one of the nearby dirty tables and was on his phone for about 15 minutes. Another tall guy walked around several times past dirty tables. Julie came back to to table to refill water and asked if everything was ok. I didn't say anything but my husband told her he was not adding a tip to his ticket because he didn't want her to share her tip....she had done a good job but everyone else was just lazy (except the bartender). He gave her cash and she thanked us. She apologized but said it is her last week there & is leaving the restaurant. Less than 24 hours after having the ahi tuna entree at this Outback location, I became violently sick (to put it nicely), in what seemed to be a clear case of food poisoning. I contacted the corporate office to report it so it could be known what happened to me and in case anyone else had gotten sick, and I never even heard anything back. Waiter absolutely did not care about any of our problems such as undercooked blooming onion or the fact that every table in our section had bread and it took an hour and a half to get bread. Dinner was good despite my burnt blooming onion. Mo ended up sending his steak back a few times because it was too rare. He did get a large cut so it probably needed more time on the grill lol. Let me preface this by saying I should've listened to my hunger & ordered the mac&cheese & loaded baked potatoes as my side. As a patron of one of the surrounding hotels, I went looking for a meal following a long day of travel. What I received were the remnants of a long day in a restaurant. My arrival to the place was marred with employees who lacked any kind of graciousness or energy. I was directed to the back of the store to pick-up my curbside order where I ran into attendants who lacked an ability to comprehend the display of orders. We are traveling through and an outback steak sounded good. Well neither of us got the steaks. We got the 10oz perfectly grilled salmons with their mixed fresh veggies and side salad to start. The salad was of course good, I don't like croutons but I like theirs. They aren't super hard and tear up your mouth. The salmon and veggies, this is my new favorite thing here. The salmon was cooked and seasoned perfectly! The vegetable mix was fresh carrots, broccoli, and yellow squash, it was steamed perfectly, I don't like soggy vegetables. We called in a pickup order from this location for a quick-stop dinner that wasn't fast food on our way to Hilton Head. Ordering process was easy-peezy, they came out within 2 minutes of us arriving to take payment, and we got our food & back on the road in no time! Everything was packaged and sealed up nicely, no surprise messes in the bag, and all the food was delicious!
