We have a few places we like and go there every weekend. We dated in the 80s and Outback was the place to go. Haven't been there much in the last 10 years. Outback used to be one of my favorite comfort foods - never had a bad meal. However, the last couple of years all over the country, I noticed that Outback is trying 'different things' and they are getting away from the original idea being 'Outback' . Tonight's meal was a flop. I asked if i could have the Shrimp on the Barbie as a meal. Meaning, i order a couple of side dishes and put it on a dinner plate - simple enough. The first thing out of the server's mouth was, -I can bring it out at the same time when i bring 'his' (my husband's ) meal, but the side dishes will cost extra, that is about it. I was wondering, was I speaking Swahili or something? Sure enough, our server brought out the shrimp in one plate and the side dishes on a separate plate and set it on the already too crowded table. The broccoli was like green wood and the Spiced Rice tasted as if it was cooked with Top Ramen spice packet. I wouldn't dream to order 'off the menu' in a fast food restaurant, where the employees just pushing preset buttons to charge for each meal item, but in a restaurant, I would expect a little more open mindedness. I would like to pull server's aside and explain to them, when you are working for tips, (since YOU picked that job!) try to go for an extra mile if you want a few extra bucks. I know, we live in a more casual world than 5-10 yrs ago, but I still can't get used to a young man greeting us 'Hi Guys - Bye Guys' a 'Hello, how are you or a Have a nice Evening would work great. Service was bad. My empty plates were not cleared, beverages were empty, had to ask for another multiple times. Had to blurt out my order, because they wouldn't ask. Low quality steak, tons of fat. The family comes here often and we always get great service and promtly get our food. We havent had to send anything back because the quality of food is always on par. Came here a few days ago with my family. Host greeted me with a smile and sat me quickly. The restaurant has a very unique and beautiful layout. My server greeted me, a young mixed man (I forgot his name please do not see this as an arrogant description). He was simply one of the best servers I have had in a long time. He has his own style of serving and its not only enjoyable, but it suits him very well. Many servers that I've had put on this fake persona, and this young man didn't have it. He was always ahead on drink refills, kept a great and warming attitude throughout the whole meal, and always made sure we were satisfied. 5 stars all the way. Good Job Outback! read more

Horrible!! Went today with a group of seven. Was a special lunch after our granddaughters piano recital. I ordered the lunch steak quesadillas with a side salad. Salad was good but a little heavy on the onions for me. The quesadillas came cut in all different sizes, hardly and filling, limp and tasteless. No garnish or salsa, or cheese. Just four weirdly cut bland looking limp quesadillas. I sent them back and asked for a hamburger Med rare. It came with a ton of mustard and onions on the bun and was like raw meat inside. I like pink but if it was raw meat inside. I was hungry and didn't want to make the whole party wait yet again by sending it back. I muddled through it but it was gross. Maybe in my head, but my stomach isn't happy. My daughter ordered a dinner pork chop and garlic mashed potatoes. Her chop came out black and they had to cook another one for her. Which did come out better. I'm just saying, if you can't get a hamburger cooked right, how are you gonna cook a steak? We have never had good luck on our food at Outback. You would think because it's a steak restaurant they should be able to cook a hamburger or pork chop right? So disappointed and never going back. We have been to Outback more times than we can count, but tonight something was different. We were thoroughly impressed with our experience tonight! The food was delicious and our service was amazing. We had two managers stop by our table to check on our dinner and our waitress Melanie was top notch. We had the sirloins with the smokey bacon bourbon sauce as our entrees and the beer cheese with pretzel sticks for our appetizer. Overall, we had a great experience and will be back! For a chain restaurant this Outback has consistently good service and well prepared steaks. Although the steaks are not something to write home about they're always prepared correctly and at the right temperature. When I want an economical steak dinner I go here and you should too. Be careful when ordering draft beer at this location, we ordered a Shiner draft and it tasted horribly metallic?? We drink beer from time to time and know what it should taste like. I'm not sure why but this happened both visits months apart. Im assuming this has something to do with their hoses. I give 4 stars because of the value and decent taste. read more

This first visit to Outback was prompted by their very tempting 4 course meal deal commercial. I was wary after reading some of the less than stellar reviews from this location, but it was better than I expected. This chain location seems like a hit or miss. We came on a Monday night while they were still running the promotion (soup, salad, entree, and dessert for $14.99-$23.99+ depending on upgrades). For entrees, we ordered the 6 oz sirloin and 10 oz bourbon rib eye. Food came out quickly and our server (Benjamin?) came back multiple times to check on us. The portion sizes for the 4 courses was just right and I enjoyed everything. When the promotion comes back, we will too. read more

My family and I thought that we would give this a try since it is a new location. The food had no flavor. I had the springs chicken and it was okay. My husband had a T-Bone and it had no flavor. Almost as if there was not a single spice on it. The sweet potato had the same effect. The shrimp on the Barbie was very dry. My oldest son had chicken fried steak and it was also bland. Outstanding food. Service sucked. Traveling alone on business - so I sat at the bar. BIG MISTAKE. bartender on duty was Trent. Sat down - and waited - and waited. 8-10 minutes from when I sat down, he finally asked what I wanted to drink. During this time he was busy - washing glasses - and talking to a couple at the bar about his new house. Even looked at me several times prior to washing dishes or talking to the couple. Ordered my drink - sweet tea - and asked for a menu. Couple minutes later he sat the tea in front of me and then walked off - didn't ask if I was ready to order or not (I was). Would not keep my tea glass full. It was totally empty (and at the edge of the bar) three times. He did not provide the normal bread loaf with the meal. My tip (approx. 5%) reflected my service satisfaction - good service = 20-25% tip from me. Trent's loss. I eat here with my family nearly every Thursday night. I wish they could get rid of the bad smell in the bar area and turn down the music. The food is good and a good value but the atmosphere here has gotten worse ovet the last year. There used to be a manager/owner who was supervising the dining area keeping everything running smoothly. It appears this has become a corporate owned store and no one in the head office knows or cares about this franchise location. We are considering finding a new place for Thursday night family dinner. Madison was such a horrible waitress!! My friend and I came in on 10/7 around 8:30 and there was probably 2 other tables and like 6 people in the bar. We were seated with Madison and she came over quickly and took our drink orders. We both ordered cocktails and she didn't ask for our IDs (were both 22). She came back with waters and bread came out with our cocktails and she took our order. The food came out about 10 minutes later and was brought by another staff member. My water glass was empty and the staff member did not ask if I'd like a refill. Other staff members walked by our table and didn't offer refill. Madison was MIA for probably 20 minutes while my water and my friends water glasses are empty. I finally stopped another member of staff as they were walking past our table and asked for water. I was looking forward to ordering dessert to go because I love the chocolate dessert there. Madison comes by our table around 9:15 to drop off the check and says the kitchen is closed so we can't order dessert. Well maybe if you had stopped by the table after we were done eating like 15 minutes ago we could have ordered it! My friend and I asked if we could have separate checks and to go containers and she asks us for our cards and she'll just split the bill and run our cards. She comes back with the cards and she split the bill in half, even though my friend ordered something much more expensive than mine. and she forgot to go containers. About five minutes later when I'm pretty sure she's not going to be coming back, I stop another member of staff and ask for to go containers. I'll definitely be back to this location but I will specifically request to not have Madison as a waitress. read more

We visited this location today, we got there around 2:30 pm. They were not busy at all. Me, my husband, daughter walked in to be seated. We got our table. Told my husband what me and the little wanted to drink, then went to the restroom. In the time of taking my little to go potty and coming back to the table, we still didn't have our drinks.... I asked him what was going on, at this point he was mad. He was not helped from the time he sat down, us going to the restroom, coming back. This is about 10-15min in. So we waited even after he saw other people that came in after us be served before I came back to sit down. After two more families came in and were seated, served right away, we had enough we got up and left. Walking out we told the host, we were not helped all he had to say was oh sorry. It would have been different if they were busy, we understand places can get busy, I work in the food industry but not being busy, having a good amount of staff. This was uncalled for. We won't be back. In all we waited about 20-30 mins to be asked what we would like to drink, that didn't even happen. Hopefully things get better. read more

So impressed with the service at this location. Not only did we have an awesome server, but the manager was great too. We asked our server what there was to do in the Dallas area and the manager came out and sat down with us! He told us all about Dallas and what we should do. Is it just me, or has Outback Steakhouse really declined over time. I genuinely used to like outback - but now it just does not deliver. The steaks are average, the decor is tired, the service is OK at best - it just seems like a dead chain concept that has run its course. First of all, I have to say the service was very good and courteous. However, the food was very poor. We had the steak and all you can eat shrimp. The steaks were tough and dry. The garlic mashed potatoes were clumpy and cold with no flavor. The fried shrimp tasted like cheap discount frozen clumps. The garlic shrimp tasted of lemon only and were over cooked and soggy. I had chop steak came cold and without gravy , which is a common southern meal and always has a side of brown gravy not to mention and hardly any mushrooms or onions. It took 8 minutes for us to be approached by Taylor M (Server Chck 13) for drink orders. I ordered unsweetened tea with lime. My wife ordered water and a Dr. Pepper with no ice. Another 7 minutes later, we received our beverages except no LIME as requested. Taylor walks off without ordering our food. 5 minutes later, Taylor returns to take our order. We order a blooming onion, 11oz Medium Sirloin and Lobster, 8oz Medium/Well Sirloin with Lobster and Hollandaise sauce, 1 Caesar Salad and 1 Tossed Salad with 1000 Island Dressing. Apparently, you are supposed to get bread before everything. We never received any. The Blooming Onion arrives and it was just fine. Taylor never came back until it was time to hand us the check. She was too busy assisting the other table of 9 that had come in. I guess her mentality was they would tip better. Other servers brought out the food. After my first tea, the ice had thoroughly melted. I figured Taylor would come and refill my tea. Boy, was i wrong! I had to flag servers down to get drink refills. I tip based on my beverage experience. If you can keep my glass refilled, you have earned a hefty tip. Never was ice added back into my glass, I get a glass of lukewarm tea. A caesar salad arrives. The other salad with 1000 Island Dressing never does. 10 minutes later our entrees arrived. You could tell my wife's food had been sitting under the warmer. Her steak was could extremely well done. This is not what she asked for. We had zero service the whole time.No one ever asked if the food was good, how we are doing, etc. If you are my waitress, I expect you to check on us throughout the meal. In a nutshell, this place sucks. This is my second bad experience with Outback. Never again will I visit any Outback establishment. I will go to Texas Roadhouse, the food is better, the onions are better and the service is better. Congratulations Texas Roadhouse, you have earned my repeat business. Outback Steakhouse - What a waste of $60.00 .... - Steakhouses Near Me - Euless, Texas

Took my son and his girlfriend to this location last night. We hadn't been to an Outback Steakhouse in years but it was convenient to our plans at the time. The restaurant was nearly empty when we arrived at 8:00 pm so we were seated right away and our drink order was taken promptly. However, we were informed that our waitress would be with us shortly to take our order and that didn't happen for at least 10 minutes. We ordered a bloomin onion which was just as tasty as I remembered but our request for small appetizer plates went unanswered until we had finished the appetizer course. No drink refills at this point but we asked for those when our waitress finally came to take our dinner order. I ordered my steak medium well which was supposed to have a thin line of pink according to the menu. It was cooked through and through and tough. My son's bone-in ribeye was cooked to order but his girlfriend's "medium" filet was so raw it wasn't even warm. She didn't eat it and the waitress never asked her if there was a problem. Still no drink refills and our request for more bread was unanswered as well. In a nutshell, this was the WORST dining experience I've had in a long time. The fact that we had zero service only added insult to injury. Oh and our waitress was apparently very attentive to her other table which was occupied by individuals that she knew personally judging from the way she was camped out at their table. read more

The best thing about Outback is consistency; this location would be the exception. Our service was somewhat slow - they were well staffed - but apparently the Mavs playoff game was more interesting than serving customers. The worst part was my wife and I both ordered our steaks medium well. When the steaks arrived we both discovered the were only cooked to medium rare. By the time they brought the steaks back to the table both of our girls had finished their meals. The manager did re-deliver the steaks but his "sorry about that" nonchalant attitude was not sincere. We have been regulars for many years and have continued to frequent this Outback even with al the construction obstacles, but our last visit confirmed that it was our last time to dine there. The main reason we go to Outback is because of their prime rib, which we enjoy cooked medium rare. Normally we arrive around 7 p.m., which I don't consider late (I understand running out of medium rare towards the end of the evening). The last three or four times we dined there the waiter informed us that they only had medium and medium well. Considering that this is suppose to be their signature dish, we were deeply disappointed. To top it off when we were leaving to go dine at another restaurant that did serve prime rib, the proprietor asked why we were leaving. When we toldl him, he said "I don't blame you"! read more
