Wish I could give 0! Gave us frozen cucumbers that went bad, then gave us a dirty spoon with potato's on it. Ranch tasted like mayo. Took 30 minutes to get the food. Napkin and fork had repunzels hair on it. Mashed potatoes were like a rock, could move the whole chunk with my fork, looked like a biscuit. Songs went from black Betty to a Christmas song

This was a nice one of the branch here. The bartender was super nice and I appreciated the effort she gave. (Big tip went her way) the steak was a little overcooked but it was not the end of the world . The salad was a good touch with the rice I enjoyed my meal

I was served casino food tonight. I think my family experienced a common affliction of geographically isolated, anchor attractions. If you're dumping cash into slot machines, the food really isn't the point, is it now? Outlet malls and their restaurants, like the nearby Tanger shopping center, are also known for this. You sunk the cost to drive 70 miles for the big sale at Nordstrom Rack, we all know you're going to buy stuff, now it's just a negotiation over what else you'll put up with to complete the sale. Don't get me wrong, I really dig Outback as a company and concept. The first one in my hometown has been happily operating for three decades now. They're fun and reasonably priced, with a little tongue-in-cheek. This one is located on the east side of 85, away from the miserable crush of Tanger shoppers. It's quiet and clean. I get it, staffing has been tough post-pandemic. But there are some easy fixes here. First, the host: his sullen, no-eye-contact opener of "how many?" while looking down at his iPad didn't exactly fill us with optimism. The side caesar that came with my steak featured wilted romaine, no cheese, and was excessively dressed. The sweet potato that accompanied my steak was excessively slathered in butter and sugar, and was itself over cooked. My kids were served grilled cheese sandwiches that were unappetizingly soaked in the liquid from their (undrained) vegetables. My ribeye was fine, but heavily over-seasoned. The stars are for our server Betsy, who was quick and friendly with my grumpy kids. We asked her about her tattoo, she told us of her recent fight with breast cancer, now in remission. My readers of age should definitely stay on top of their mammograms. Servers like her deserve better support from the kitchen.

This was your basic longhorn experience with bells and whistles. It is so rare to find a longhorn…read morethat's actually good. This was once my go to for Sunday dinner and maybe a Thursday night out. Over the years, the service in the food quality deteriorated. This evening was such a wonderful departure. I came in early and was seated and greeted. My server came by and got my drink order quickly. She then came back to see what I wanted, and I had some questions about the menu. She answered all of these satisfactorily. Her name was Kylee. She's young, smart, beautiful, and a professional. She really knows what she's doing. I ordered the bowl of French onion soup, the chopped steak with mushrooms, gravy, and onions, the crispy, brussels sprouts and an iced tea. All came out satisfactory and on time. The soup was outstanding. It was like somebody actually cooked it in the back and then floated the bread and then put cheese on top and toasted it. It was a really good French onion soup . The chop steak was a nod to economy. It was a wonderful hamburger steak, with a wonderful gravy, mushroom and onion topping. Since that is part of the hamburger steak, it's not extra. I would've paid for these toppings on my hamburger steak. The crispy brussels sprouts were amazing, and came in a sweet honey sort of glaze. Which I used on my steak for a couple of bites. They're missing out but not putting the honey maple type glaze as an option for the steaks. That's just an opinion. When I got ready to go, Kylee asked me if I could have a tea to go. I accepted her offer. She then brought me out two glasses one with ice, and one with tea she said that would keep it from getting watered down. What a thoughtful young lady. While I was there, the manager came around and checked on me and wanted to know how they were doing. I told him they were doing great. It's like somehow this longhorn is the one that you see in the commercials where people are enjoying themselves, not the one that you always run into when you're traveling for the staff doesn't give a crap. This is a top notch, Longhorn. I enjoyed myself And I will die in here again.

Seven of us went there tonight and all had carry tasty meals. We were seated promptly and had very attentive and friendly waitress with plenty of southern hospitality. Steaks were good and cooked pretty much to various ways folks ordered them in our group. Salads were fresh with a nice offering of dressings. Their raspberry vinaigrette was very tasty that I had in my salad. Like everywhere prices have gone up and the bill came to $221 with beverages for seven of us. ( note: we all had non alcoholic drinks). I was a bit surprised they didn't have malt vinegar for their French fries , but that's no big deal. Overall I'd give them a solid 4 out of five stars and would recommend them to others looking for a good steak, for a reasonable price served with a smile. In general LHs always have good American steaks and cuisine, friendly service and always a clean LongHorn atmosphere.

We said,…read morewe should go. in my email box this week is my weekly Yelp suggestions and what is at the top? Smitty's! It is a "plate of shrimp" moment of off we go. Smitty's is about a mile up 51 from the biggest truck stop interchange on 85. The building complex is a very cool set of older buildings that look like a barbecue restaurant. There is a giant stack of wood outside so this looks promising. When you go in, seats yourself and someone will be there to serve you right away. The menu is typical barbecue fare with a couple other items too. I ordered the brisket plate, Megan had a chicken fried steak. The brisket was tender and smokey with a little salt and pepper in the seasoning. It was good and meaty. The fries were good as was the okra. The stew was flavorful with tomato and corn. Megan's chicken fried steak was very good. It was beefy and tender and cooked just right. Her potato came with big cups of butter, cheese, and sour cream. And she ate her whole salad. This was a special road trip for use because of the Yelp suggestion. But if we are back in the area again we will defiantly hit them up again.
