Service was unprofessional and slow. Waited 30 minutes for appetizer. Then brought raw crab cakes. Few minutes later brought our soup and salad. Before soup was done, and hadn't even touched salad, out came our food. Took our food back and put under warm lamp. Never saw waiter during this time. Total time here hour and twenty minutes. Six - eight other tables when we arrived. Spent most of the time waiting. Had to keep asking for tea, food, ticket, desert that was part of the meal package. So aggravating. Service was poor. This Outback in Commerce Ga is a little out of the way. The service was really good and the waitress was nice , the salad we ordered was good . I ordered a Victoria filet medium and it came out well done and had no flavor to it. talked to the waiter and was told that they have had several people complain about this problem for awhile. Seems like they need to get a cook that needs to know how to do steak the one they have needs to go back to cutting potatoes or dishwashing.. won't be back to this location read more

If I could give this place negative stars I would. The place is understaffed and the few employees that do work here wish they had never been born. I believe they must have done something horrible in a previous life and their punishment is to work at the Outback in Commerce. We were a large party and even though we called ahead, they claimed we didn't, so we had to wait over an hour. Once we were finally seated, the wheels really fell off: the waitress argued with my husband about the beer Stella being on draft, she piled a pyramid of bread on 1 wooden plate for us to share with one tiny ramekin of butter, she claimed they were out of ranch dressing (later, the manager said they were not out of ranch), ALL of our food was inedibly burnt. When the manager asked how everything was, we told him the nightmarish tale. He proceeded to promise us free dessert, which he did deliver. However, when we told him we also had a to-go order, he said he would personally prepare it himself and hand deliver it to us. HE FORGOT. We were given several $20 vouchers to be used at this restaurant at a later date, but WHY would we return to the scene of the crime???? Please. Shut this place down and put everyone out of his/her misery! P.S. It was also my daughter's 14th birthday and they knew it! read more

My son wanted to eat here for his 13th birthday and we couldn't have had a better experience. We had a bloomin onion, Alice Springs Chicken, Prime Rib, 11 oz Sirloin and a Rib and Chicken combo. All platters were cooked to perfection. I believe our servers name was David. He was very pleasant, professional and attentive and helped make our evening enjoyable. Then a Very nice guy came by (obviously aware no one had helped) and apologized for the slow service and brought me a water. Extremely disappointed !!!! A very long wait with hardly any patrons seated ..The server Haden was great but the quality of what came out of the kitchen was below well acceptable!! Unfortunately this place has really gone down hill. I've been twice in the last six months and both times the food is just ok. Nothing special. Prime rib was really fatty compared to what I have received here. The Alice springs chicken was really dry. My husbands sirloin was way over cooked. I mean how hard is it to cook a med rare steak. Then I went to the bathroom and these folks opened at 4:00 pm and we arrived at 5:00. The restroom was Nasty!!!!! I had been worried about Covid now I'm just worried. Oh and the music was too loud. I asked the waitress if I could speak to the manager. I waited and waited. Never saw a manager. The other waiter told me that he had turned down the radio but it was still loud. We were celebrating our 41 anniversary. Couldn't even hear each other talk. Finally got someone to turn it down more. I guess I'm an old fart but dang. I wanna talk to my husband. My party and I decided to leave this filthy restaurant after we sat down at a table with crumbs and smeared mayonnaise , the restrooms were dirty and very smelly. The staff aren't attentive. Hopefully this place will get shut down soon. read more

I am not sure what's going with the reviews, our experience was fantastic. My steak was cooked perfectly (medium) my mil's salmon was spot on and the dessert was amazing. Our waiter Jeff was friendly and we never had an empty glass. We will definitely be going back we just won't do it at peak hours (reading the reviews). read more

Bad Experience. We arrived at the Commerce, Ga location 2/19/21 at 6:13pm. The hostess and 1 other server took our name. We looked around and did not look busy at all. They mentioned nothing about a wait time. We assumed 15 minutes maybe. After 37 minutes waiting, we asked how much longer? They responded oh I don't know maybe 35 more minutes. That would have put us at around 1 hour and 10 minutes waiting. We found this rude, irresponsible, and inconsiderate. The hostess saw we had a small child. If they knew the wait was going to be more than 1 hour, they needed to have clearly communicated that. At 37 minutes we left and will never be back. This is the 1st of 3 bad reviews. read more

I usually don't have a problem with this place. Tonight they were lacking a bit. The waitress was kind of out of it. We waited a while for our order to be taken and for our appetizer to come out. Which was the sampler and one item was old, cold and over cooked, another was not completely done. Then our food came out and it was pretty good. The fries still could of cooked a bit longer though. My husband and I came here from out of town to go shopping. We stopped here for a late lunch about 10 til 3. It was an awful experience. It took 15 minutes to get greeted,another 10 for drinks, one very undercooked steak, 1 really over cooked steak, a very long wait for bread then a very long wait for butter and two angry customers. We were driving up I 85 and decided to stop in for a steak. As it turned out they had a steak and lobster special. I decided to have that with a salad. The steak was good and so was the lobster. The waitress was very helpful and we had no wait for a table. read more

They've recently gotten their act together and must be acknowledged. Only 4 stars as some of the takeout servers still have a huge learning curve. I.E.: they'll leave the bacon off the loaded fries, forget which dressing goes with which specialty salad. I highly recommend checking your order before you leave. But I most say their cooks are back on their A game. My steaks have been perfectly cooked. They still don't have the asparagus down but I won't fault them for that. We visit Outback in commerce at least once a week. Our most recent was Friday, Jan 10, 2020. Our waitress was new, and I am sure with more experience on the job, her technique will improve. i was most impressed with another waitress, Ann, who continuously helped our waitress out to make our visit more enjoyable. Not only did she help out with our table of 7, but it was also noted that she was helping out with the other tables around us in addition to her own section. I was so impressed with Ann's ultimate team approach that I pointed this out to the manager, Ryan and wanted him to know how much we appreciate the effort that another waitress was making to insure we had a positive experience. Ryan (the manager) is always seen in the restaurant when we are there. I often see him visit each table to greet the customers and asking if their meal is prepared as they ordered and if they need anything. He is always very nice and pleasant and also appears to be treating his employees with respect. Most of the employees are nice and do a great job, but in my opinion Ann and Ryan are superior in their service to the customer! read more

My wife and I ate here the other night after shopping at the outlet malls in Commerce. Her water had specks in it, even after 3 different glasses. Her plate for the blooming onion was dirty and they had to bring another one. The service was not that great. We will not eat at this Outback again. read more

We were hungry and in a hurry and caught a glimpse of their sign from 85 and made our way to the restaurant. Completely surrounding the restaurant are abandoned and decaying building. Sort of like a movie war set. The Outback is like an oasis, but inside it was worn looking. Despite it being a Saturday, few cars were in the restaurant's parking lot and that should have been a warning. We were seated right away by a friendly and competent waiter. Both of us ordered the ribeye and it arrived quickly. Both of struggled through half and gave up. Tough and tasteless. The baked potato was excellent. With Outback it's always a crapshoot and this one came up snake eyes. read more

This Outback is notorious for getting orders wrong and/or bad service. Tonight, our takeout order was wrong for the the third time. Given this has occurred before checked the order before leaving, but obviously not close enough. We ordered a Great Barrier Combo which is supposed to have a steam lobster tail as part of the entree. Got home only to discover they forgot the lobster tail which is a main part of the entree. It is simply mind boggling to me how this can happens... read more

The Outback is better than ever since the flood and remodel. Great service even on busy day like Father's Day. Staff is friendly and accommodating especially when hubby is in wheelchair, they take time to get table that works with wheelchair. Food very good. Love the fried mushrooms. A very "hoppin'" Outback Steakhouse. It's always busy so the call ahead program works well; didn't work well 2 out of 3 tries for us but that was over a year ago. Seems like every time we go now we get a seat either at the bar or in the bar area which is another plus as all the seating in the bar is first come first serve. You know, i've never had a problem with any dish I've ever ordered but I do often wish they would have more choices on the menu, especially in the appetizer department. One can only eat so many Bloomin' Onions and Ahi Tuna...... well, being that it is only seared for all of about 5 seconds and then chilled to the point just below an ice cube, I'll stay away from that choice. Also, guys, what happened to your Cyclone Pasta? Being that it is so rich that I, myself, could only eat about 4 delicious melt in my mouth bites, my sons thought it was a dish served right from Heaven's door. That was a dish which never should have been removed from the menu as the flavor was abundant and no other pasta at any other restaurant could beat it. Please bring it back. : ) Either way, I'll visit again and again. When the crowd dies down and the crying children go home the place does have a romantic touch to it. read more

Seated promptly. Long time before server intianally came table. Took drink & appetizer. Slow return with appetizer. COLD & OVERCOOKED. Had to ask another server to check on food order 35 minutes after appetizer served. Entre finally came. Mute server ! Did not ask if anything else needed. I ask for ketchup.10 minutes delivered - no commit by server. Table next to us same issues they left - did not eat their meal. Worst service & food ever at any Outback. Mtg. My girlfriend and I Walked in and was told I had a 20 minute wait at 1:30 which was no big deal I took my buzzer and sat at the bar. which was out of mint for the third time so a Mojito was out of the question. I changed my drink order and got a Long Island iced tea which was one of the worst I have ever drank. The proceeded to wait for 40 minutes watching the hostess sit group after group walking in the door after us and the buzzer never went off. We finally went and sat in the waiting area in front of the hostess openly displaying my buzzer for her to see and she the proceeded to sit two more groups(without reservations) directly in front of us. For fear of having my food spat in for causing a scene due to my outrage i stood up dropped my buzzer on the couch and proceeded to take my business to the Longhorns across the street who treated us exquisitely. read more
