A first in Athens, a Brazilian Steakhouse-(although there are many on Atlanta). This location is not part of a chain. Like the others Brazilian steakhouses, this is an ALL YOU CAN EAT restaurant. This is unique-it is NOT a Mexican restaurant. Food-There is a large grill/brazier where the meats are seared over an open flame-wide variety of meats including several choices of beef, pork, & chicken as well as lamb. There is a large cafeteria-style vegetable and salad table of side dishes, with multiple choices from a both a hot side and a cold side. We especially liked the lamb and the BBQ ribs, but the other meats were very tasty, too. There are some nice traditional Brazilian side dishes --as well as traditional steakhouse sides like slaw, potato salad, mashed potatoes, The hot corn bread muffins 'elote" were very good.The roasted pineapple is a perfect foil to the meat dishes. The brisket is spicier. Service -Service is excellent!! Knowledgeable and pleasant and quick. When we were there the manager was also present and very attentive. Facility/Ambiance-The facility is not new -but it is clean, spacious, comfortable, casual. Great for conversations -no loud music or road noise. Parking is on the property. This place is absolutely a hidden gem in Athens! It's kind of tucked away but super conveniently located right off the perimeter. We went on Saturday night & walked right in which shocked me. The food was incredible. Lots of delicious meat options which you would expect and a great selection on the salad bar as well. The only thing that was less than impressive was (surprisingly) the chimichurri. The bread was good, the guacamole was fresh, the empanadas were phenomenal!!! An added bonus was how great the service was. The staff was so attentive without ever hovering. My date had mentioned he was going to get more brisket and when the manager who stopped by our table went back he noticed there was only a small amount of brisket left. He had a server come back over to see if my date had gotten his brisket yet and when he said no, they plated what was left and brought it over to him to make sure he got some and didn't have to wait on a new batch. My top three favorite meats were the garlic steak, the filet mignon which absolutely melted in your mouth and the lamb. My date's favorites were the brisket, the garlic steak and the filet mignon. We already have it on the calendar when we're going back. The restaurant is nicely decorated with super comfortable booths and tables. It's an enjoyable change from other places because the tables aren't on top of each other. There was music playing but it was a nice volume for blending in the background and we didn't have to shout or raise our voices to converse. I love this place. It's very conveniently located right off the loop. The food is amazing. They have a bar with rice, beans, empanadas, salads, sauces, ribs, roast pork, roast brisket, etc. Then at the meat bar they have stuff like filet mignon, lamb (the best, imo), bacon wrapped chicken, sausage, broiled brisket, etc. The service is friendly. The owner even came to our table to see what foods we liked best so they can make adjustments since they're a relatively new restaurant. It isn't too fancy, but very clean. And they did do some renovation since it was the Mexican restaurant. It's very casual, but it would probably still be a great place for a date night. I really hope this place sticks around. I plan on dropping in regularly. Don't be afraid to bring your kids. They have discounts for anyone under 12 currently. I won't quote it here in case they change their pricing and policies. Really good South American style churrascaría (steakhouse) that doesn't break the bank. Dinner on a weekend night was $30 for all you can eat buffet and multiple meat options that include the classic signature Brazilian steak picanha, Alcatra, lamb, garlic steak, bacon wrapped chicken, and more! Dip these succulent meats into the chimichurri sauce and you'll be begging for more! The rice + beans were always a good staple, along with the salad bar. Yuca fries are always my favorite. Surprisingly, the meat stuffed empanadas were AMAZING ! Service was excellent and very friendly with the owner sitting down talking to us. We visited here recently for our daughter's birthday in hopes it would've been more like the well known Brazilian chain. This was missing a lot of elements and high end enhancements compared to the other experience. From the beginning, we arrived only to find out that they do not offer table side service for the meats. There is a window you go to up order at. Very awkward experience and the guy just wasn't very friendly. The hot/cold bar really missed the mark for me. Several unlabeled food options, would be nice to know what something is - allergies, likes/dislikes, etc. No charcuterie, as other places offer. I only ate the chimmichurri and the rice. The rest was questionable. The meats were either really good, overcooked or undercooked, no consistency at all. When it came time to check out this is what really bothered me. I felt like we were at a store. He came up the table, asked how old the children were, and then verbally told us our total. I don't know- it just wasn't the most professional for a nice dinner experience. Again, nothing about the establishment or experience warranted the pricing either, in my opinion. We don't normally share pricing for meals with our children as it's none of their business. He then proceeded to give us a card reader and waited for us to fill in the tip amount. Again- awkward and just didn't scream fine dining. There was also no pricing listed so we really didn't know how much it would be. It was $35.99 for 12+ and $14.99 for 5-11 year olds on a Sunday night. Again, over $130 before tip for a self serve type of cafeteria establishment with inconsistent meats and the waitstaff just seemed indifferent about being there. Just my experience. I rarely leave notes like this but this fell short and if you're looking for an experience like the place in Atlanta, this isn't it. If you're looking for a ver basic option that is cheaper than other places - go for it. read more

It's tasty. The tenderloin is where it's at. The lamb is tasty, sirloin, and beef ribs as well. However, I was disappointed in the chicken and the garlic beef. They were both severely overcooked. The meat items in the salad bar, the same. Bread was either stale or just old, other stuff was decent. Personally it's more of a 3.5 because of that I listed and especially the lameness that is the sodas being by the can....... If price was a little lower I would be more pleased. But at the price point..... meh.... I won't be back I'll travel to the Atlanta area instead and eat at the red green steakhouse. This was my first time, and I was amazed! The sides/salad bar is everything you would want: nothing crazy but complements the meat well. The picanha was some of the best I've ever had. It was very tender with a good sear. The bread and cinnamon butter was one of the best things I've eaten recently, EXQUISITE. The service was nice, the owner was nicer, and overall just a fun time. My husband and I went in for the first time tonight. The food was excellent! The waiter was great. My husband asked about the drinks when we arrived because he had read a review that drinks did not include refills. The waiter explained that they only have bottled or canned drinks right now, and that's why refills are not included. They have a fountain machine but are waiting for the distributor to come for the installation. We were advised that if we wanted any of the meats cooked to a different temperature, to just ask. Took our sons and daughter-in-law here a week ago. Some of us had been to a Brazilian steakhouse in Atlanta, and loved it, so we knew the basics about how unique they are. The food is very good, french fries are THE BEST of anywhere I have ever been! The meats were good, steak was the tenderest, but the lamb was very good. There is not much ambiance but hopefully as they grow they will add some decor. The only real drawback is the price, but that is the way Brazilian steakhouses are, it is all you can eat. I do not have a large appetite so it was expensive for me, but almost anywhere these days is $30 a person. Give it a try, it is a different experience and Athens needs something new. read more
