On this trip we picked Father's day weekend to go so the restaurant itself was packed but the bar had plenty of space. We were not super hungry so we opted for a bloomin' onion (must order every single time), salad and baked potato. The food came out quickly and was just what I wanted. A lot of restaurants try to copy the blommin' but they cannot seem to duplicate the batter correctly, it is just better here. The drinks were a little sweet (kinda expected) but were pretty well balanced and love the fact that they are $12 or less, so tired of $16-20 cocktails in town. Will keep coming back!!! read more

We had a great experience at Outback Steakhouse overall. Our server, Marco, was very attentive and on top of everything the entire time. He was friendly, professional, and made sure we were taken care of. He also brought out bread with butter right away, which was a great start. Anthony brought out our plates and honestly added so much to the experience. He was super funny, personable, and joking around with us. He had great energy and made us feel really welcome. The environment itself is really nice, but it is pretty dark inside. Once you're seated, if you're short like I am, the lighting can be a little awkward. The light sits kind of right in your face unless you lean back. I wish it were just a bit brighter overall, but not harsh or right up close. As for the food, it was amazing. I ordered the Aussie meal that comes with soup or salad and I chose the soup. The chicken tortilla soup was incredible. It came out super hot and was absolutely delicious. I also had the 9 oz sirloin with mashed potatoes, and it was honestly to die for. It was cooked perfectly and so flavorful. For dessert, I got the raspberry cheesecake and it was super good as well. When I signed up for rewards, we also got a free blooming onion and it was super, super good. The sauce it came with was delicious. My fiancé ordered the fried chicken sandwich and loved it. Space was clean and had low lighting and lots of servers/workers We tried their specials that went from $18, $20,$25. I had a sirloin 4oz steak medium rare with a Caesar salad and baked potatoe and cheesecake as my desert ($20 range) Hubby had the bloomin onion chicken and salad and sweet potatoe and cheesecake ($25 range) I liked my steak and my baked potato! I hadn't been here in a long time, so when I was gifted a gift card I was excited to revisit. We ended up going during late lunch / early dinner time. Unfortunately the staff was having issues with the antenna (which so conveniently happened to fail during the last game of the NBA finals) so that was a total bummer. I remember in the past the restaurant and staff used to be more lively and high energy but both were lacking. The restaurant vibe was quiet and somber, almost depressing. While our waiter was polite, he also lacked any bit of enthusiasm. I started with an order of the kookaburra wings and one of their signature cocktails, a smoked watermelon paloma. The wings were tasty and of good quality and size, but a bit too salty. The drink was also good, but with the bartender being a little heavy handed with the ice you don't get much for your buck. Unfortunately my meal was an even bigger disappointment. For starters you can tell that very little effort was put into at least making the dish look aesthetically pleasing, that or it was done hastily. I don't know whose idea it was to serve these long broccoli stalks instead of traditional florets or when they made this adjustment, but I don't like it. Nobody wants to eat these long stalks, especially when they're not even soft or steamed through. They might as well have served them raw because they were way too firm and impossible to bite through, instead they just split and splintered. For being fresh, the steak was only warm at best. This might be one of the lousiest steaks I've ever eaten. The meat wasn't lean at all with a lot of fat and grizzle throughout. Even the parts that were edible still lacked tenderness and flavor, just awful. Congratulations Outback, you can successfully bake a potato. The Food was absolutely horrible, the service was slow and the waitress pointed her finger at us. She talked as though she was reading a script and it was very annoying. The restaurant is old looking and much too dark. The salad dressing is watered down and lacks flavor. The tortilla soup tasted like stale fritos, the steak was as thin as paper and was not as ordered. Yes, Jocelyn was in charge of the ordering, bill, and the main stuff, but someone else brought the entrees around, another person bussed. This is a great system. The booth was comfortable. What could have been. I do not hand out five stars and if there was just two details that were not missed it would've been for sure a five star experience. This steak was also so tough I couldn't cut most of it, particularly on the undercooked end. I would also forego the added toppings. I didn't find them complimentary to the steak. I stopped going because they took my favorite dishes off the menu. Today I picked the Alice Springs Chicken. The taste of the juicy chicken paired with bacon and cheese with a touch of maple is truly delicious. My husband wanted to pig out on a blooming onion and a steak and he ate all of it.
