I brought my Volvo in to the service department for an oil change and rear brake pads. I also asked them to look for the source of a jitter that I could feel in the steering wheel when I drove. Everyone was polite and they had a shuttle that gave me a ride home. BUT! They called and said that I needed new tires, which I knew. They also said that I had two bent wheels. One was slightly bent, and another was very badly bent. They even asked if I had noticed a drop in gas mileage because the right rear wheel was so badly bent. The new wheels and total repair was going to be around $2200. I didn't have the work done because it was so expensive. Later, I took my car to Tires Plus in Frederick. They took the wheels off, inspected them, and put them on their balancing machine. The wheels were fine. Tires Plus replaced the tires, balanced, and aligned, and now the car feels like new. Conclusion? Volvo of Frederick tried to scam me. read more

I have bought cars from used dealerships, auctions, and even Craigslist, so I understand that cheap cars are short lived. But I never expected that a 'trusted dealer' like Ourisman, would sell me such a troublesome car with such little customer service. I bought a 2007 Mazda CX-7 from this dealership late May/ early June for $7,000 outright. When I bought the car, the used car manager said he would give me an extended 4-month warranty, since I'm a student. I was told whenever I had issues within the 4 months, I could bring in my car with no problems. After about three months of owning my car, my car wouldn't start and I was told the battery transmission was was extremely lose and covered with corrosion. When I called Ourisman, they initially told me a 4-month, 4,000 mile warranty didn't exist. Then I was told that my warranty was extremely limited and it would cost over $100 to diagnose my car, and even then, they couldn't guarantee that they could service my car. So, I didn't use it. Instead, I manually tightened my my battery transmission to start my car every day. I've now had the car 5 months, and I've been told that I need a new starter. Four of my vehicle warning indicator lights are on (including the check engine light) and I truly believe I was sold a lemon. Unfortunately, since I'm away at school, I haven't taken the emissions test yet, and I can't even start my car and to go fail it. I'm so disappointed in my purchase, and I will never purchase from Ourisman again. read more

Very shady dealer. Made 3 promises before closing that weren't put in writing (my fault), was then called a liar when I asked for what was promised. I have been dealing with auto salesmen for many years and have never been treated so terribly after spending $50k. When I brought my car in for its first service, the one thing that was physically broken was ignored (one of two small hooks in the trunk area to hold grocery bags). I was told they would get it on my next service. After a few months I realized that I like the working hook so I asked them to order a replacement for the non-working one. Apparently they never wrote down the part number (not sure why they can't look at any of the other new cars on their lot) so they want me to drop my car off so they can look at it to order the part. The dealership is a 20 minute drive from my house, so spending an hour just so they can look at my car then bring it back so they can fix it just doesn't make sense to me. Will never buy a car from them for their shady dealings. As for service, they were very polite and courteous (2 stars instead of 1), but lack in their attention to detail. Maybe I am just accustomed to dealing with Mercedes, but I expected substantially more when buying a $50k car. read more

Buying a car/truck can be a very hard experience in our present economy. There are so many manufacturers to choose from, not to mention deciding on a dealership. My fiance and I were in the market for a SUV. We literally test drove 7 different style trucks from varying dealerships. Then i walked onto the lot at FSK. I was greeted friendly. The salesperson had great product knowledge as well as stats in regards to other competitors. Safety ratings, and most importantly, addressed all my concerns with the idea of a new car purchase. No typical sales games were played. Very honest across the board not to mention FSK fought the banks for the best rate possible. I have never had a better experience with buying a new truck. I have been back for service and the customer service is five star in that department as well. At the end of the day i like knowing that if i have any trouble with my transportation, FSK will be there to guide me through. Great dealer, Great people. I highly recommend! read more

This dealership is a bit more laid back and slow moving than I am used to but they have been accommodating. I have brought my 2013 A5 in a few times now. The center console controls stopped working. Did troubleshooting and system resets over the phone with corporate technical support but finally brought my car into FSK after corporate said it needed to be replaced. Dealing with corporate was a great experience, dealing with FSK, was, well, okay. They replaced the entire center console control unit but made a point of telling me that if I spill(ed) anything that cause(d)(es) the controls to stop working, next time I will have to pay for it. Really. I barely had 15,000 miles on my car. I would think you can tell if something was spilled all over the center console. I did not spill anything but whatever. I hear you. Damaged a tire, ordered a new tire, had it shipped to my home, took it in and they mounted and balanced it for free. My air conditioning went out-- some kind of faulty switch that has to be ordered from Germany. They had my car for almost a week but let me use an A4 loaner for the duration-- no charges for the part and labor, or loaner. Took my car in for an oil change and agreed to a tire rotation. I was told 1.5 hrs. Approximately 2.25 hrs later my car was ready. I used their WiFi and did work on my laptop so it was not too bad. My last dealing with them over the phone did not go so well. One of the guys, and it is only this ONE guy, in the service department talked to me like I am a jerk. I wanted to schedule an early morning appointment but he said the soonest they could get me in for an early morning oil change would be a week and a half or so out. I thought, well, okay, let me try for a later afternoon appointment-- say 2p or 3p. He informed me they do not do oil changes after 1:00p. I thought that was a peculiar practice so out of curiosity I asked why. I know I am not the only person who works during the day and has to schedule appointments either before I go to work or later in the afternoon. What I did not anticipate was the way he talked to me. I have decided to take my business elsewhere because for the kind of money I spent on my Audi, I would prefer to be treated like a valued customer. read more

Service department overcharges. Brought in my 2015 Q7 for a coolant leak and they told me my care needed $2000 worth of work. I took my car to my local mechanic and he fixed an O ring for $300. I will never take my car to this dealer again. read more

They do not care about customers at all. I took my car in for a oil change, and to get the fuse inside my radio changed. After I left I realized the interior lights had completely stopped working, and I thought it was a blown fuse. After changing the fuse and realizing the lights still didn't work I called FSK Audi because the lights had stopped right after they changed the radio. They told me they would run diagnostics for $100 and then decide whether they would consider it to be there fault. The issues are apparently two separate issues, but they both involve the electrical system. Will never come here again read more

Went to this dealership last weekend after negotiating to purchase an Audi. Arrived at a number after my wife had test driven the car. Spent three hours driving there and testing it myself. The sales person wrote up all the paper work took all our information, then after a visit to the "manager" came back and said they couldn't sell the vehicle for that price. Hate to be negative. Its not their fault I have brought in my new A3 in so much for repairs. I blame the Audi for a poorly made product. So lets talk one star. As a former Automotive technician I feel I can give good descriptions of problems with a car. I write out what to tell the tech to help explain what I am experiencing. The service writer ignores my concerns and wants to interogate me why They have zero records for maintance and oil changes. Accused me of paying a small mom and pop shop to do oil changes. Ha. I do it my self for 1/5th the price (syn oil and audi filter $29) and no appointments or wait time. I complain about an oil consumption problem. Dave tells me I am a liar because my car does not have a dipstick for checking it as it has all gone computerized, so I am making it up. He argued and I challenged him to look at the little yellow thing marked with an oil can symbol under my hood. He gave up. Refused to write my complaint properly. And two visits later still no resolution. I look at the repair order he omits some of my complaints so they never made it to the repair shop tech. Service writer doesnt know how heating and A/c works in a car. They argued with me on my rotting meat/mold smell and again blamed me that I dont have maintance done there. I was yelled at because I told the service writer he is wrong about how hvac works on a car. I was about to draw pictures and an older service writer stopped him as he start to yell at me. The mature writer took over. We talked about the poor quality of $40k+ Audi compared to a $12k Toyota corolla. My problem was not resolved. I cant waste time bringing it there just because it is under warranty. I killed the mold my-self by doing 2 hours of work and using a chemical that was recomended by the mature service writer. He said they dont do the AC mold removal kit there with the BG services they offer. Still I have a oil consumtion problem. Poor service at this dealership. They just want you to over pay for these maintance packages and trade it in for a new one as it ages out of warranty and becomes a habitual repair hassel. Remember maintance done outside of the dealership will not void your warranty. Owners look up the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. Dont let these high pressure dealers push you into some "certified technician" repair. It is your money spend it wisely by getting educated and shop around or do it yourself. read more

recently bought a used car with them, nothing but excellent customer service from every employee who worked there. they really helped to get us a great deal on our car and were very pleased with the price we paid. a couple weeks after we bought the car we noticed some rust on the roof of the car when washing it, we called the dealership and told them about it and they were nothing but eager to fix the problem and fixed it in a very timely manner. we are very happy with the work they did when fixing it and you cant even tell there has been a problem. i would definitely recommend purchasing a car with them! read more

Dylan McKee was absolutely wonderful to work with. I knew what model and configuration I wanted going in and was able to do most of the paperwork via e-mail. When we went to pick up the new car and sign the papers, we were only there about 90 minutes. Everything was ready when we got there and were moved efficiently through the process. I purchased a 2013 Audi A5 Cab from this dealer a year and a half ago, and I have to say it's been a nightmare from the time we drove off the lot. We didn't have any problem with the sales dept., but when it came to the service department, you'd better be ready for a mouthful!!! First, less than 6 months after purchasing the vehicle, I noticed a clinking sound in the back of the car on small bumps in the road (sort of a springy/squeaky sounding), and when I would travel on a VERY bumpy road, it would be very embarrassing to say that I had a new vehicle. So I took it to the garage, and after taking it for a test spin on what they classified as bumpy roads (I'm assuming they don't have bumpy roads in Frederick), the service tech told me that no one could hear the noise. They tried to convince me that it was my rear license plate rattling and that they had tightened it. I just laughed and said there was no way. Since I had to travel the 2 hours to get home on smooth roads, I really thought that they may have been correct, UNTIL I got back on our bumpy roads and realized that it was just as bad as it was before I took it. During that first trip to the service dept., I also complained about a rattle in the overhead rear light, so supposedly, they replaced that for me. Well, needless to say... on the way home, while listening for the squeaking sound outside the vehicle, I had to strain my ears, because the light in the back was rattling so badly. :-( By this time, I was livid!!! So, back to the garage I went (several weeks later due to the distance), and I dealt with the same tech (name starts with R, ends in y, is a 3-letter word and it doesn't include an O). His reaction to the rattling overhead light was that it was probably always going to be a problem. Huh???!!! Is that what I want to hear from a service tech about a vehicle that was brand new when I started having the issue? NOT!!! He proceeded to, more or less, tell me that the squeaky sound in the rear of the vehicle must be in my mind, because none of them at the garage could hear it, even when I went on the test ride with them and would say, "Right there... did you hear it?... how about right there?" They would just shake their heads negatively. That was interesting, because everyone else who rode in the car or stood beside it as it came by could hear it (outside the dealership, of course). So, my next service at the garage was for the 1st oil change at 15,000 miles, and I had purchased an AudiCare program when I bought the car. Proof of my purchase could not be verified for quite a while on their system. NOT surprising, since nothing else had gone right up to now. When they finally found it, my service was completed with only one hitch. I had complained about a rattle (by now, you are figuring out how much I DISLIKE noises that don't belong in a new vehicle) on the right passenger side where the convertible top meets the windshield frame (most likely where the top latches), but again, the tech (a different one) could not hear it and while sitting in the car with me, actually took the butt of his hand and banged very hard at that spot to show me that it wouldn't rattle (I was thinking to myself... if it didn't rattle before the hand, it will certainly do it NOW). This time, it was blamed on the garage door opener that was hanging on the sun visor on that side of the car. Again... HUH!!???!! I went home with my tail between my legs... AGAIN!!! Now, the kicker... since we live in a state that requires yearly vehicle inspections, I recently took the vehicle to a local garage to be inspected and to have the brakes checked (I had a squeal in the brakes that could just be dirt, but I thought it should be checked ASAP). When the tech tried to get the lug nuts off, he realized that it took a special tool (I wouldn't know this, because I have never owned an Audi or have never attempted to work on the one that I now own and have never taken it anywhere other than the Audi garage). This time, I got my husband to call the Audi dealer, since I'm not so sure there isn't a "woman factor" stopping them from giving me good service. When he spoke with D*v*, he was told that the tool would be found SOMEWHERE in the car... either the glove box, trunk or with the spare tire. He said it could be anywhere in the car. Needless to say, my husband let him have it due to the attitude that the guy took with him on the phone. Right now, the local tech has totally torn apart the glove box and trunk area to no avail. Now after all of this... here's my MAIN problem... ATTITUDE! If only they could have smiled while telling me I was a nut case instead of being total jerks. I don't think I have to tell you that they WON'T be getting my business in the future. I'm hoping that other Audi service departments are happier to see my business, and if not, I'm not above trading in the vehicle for another brand. So far, Audi, you HAVEN'T earned my loyalty!!! read more

We purchased a used car for our son on 7/15/16. They said an alignment was done before we purchased the car, but by the next day it was way out. We took it in Monday and they corrected it the "best they could". But it was still pulling right and wasn't 100%. The service person basically tried to talk us out of trying other options. Plus the check engine light came on (within 6 days of purchase). We decided to just return the car. We are then told that we must wait 10 business days from the day they cashed our check (we paid in full). In the mean time, my son is without a car (we are leaving it at the dealership so they can't claim we did anything to the car) and we can't get the new one we picked out because they have our money. They are gaining interest on our money and we can't do anything about it. They are saying that we could still somehow stop payment, which is ridiculous, because I spoke with my bank and I can't. read more

I have a Volvo and I will NOT be bringing my vehicle to get serviced here again. I give businesses the benefit of the doubt and provide a 3 strike system. The first strike was while my vehicle was under the full Volvo Increased Protection warranty I needed to have a wiper blade replaced. I was 100% sure the blade was covered however the person at the service window told me the blade was NOT covered and proceeded to charge me FULL price! A year later I ended up replacing another windshield wiper blade and another service person told me it was covered under my warranty! It was a minor fee however I am big on integrity and I passed this experience off as an unaware sales person. The 2nd strike came as my vehicle was approaching its warranty expiration and I wanted to make sure everything that needed attention received it on my vehicle. My Volvo had a faulty locking mechanism that needed repair and I also noticed the brakes were grinding slightly. I brought these problems to the attention of the service person and he noted and advised he would look into the problems. Upon picking up my vehicle the service person stated he repaired the locking mechanism problem and also stated my breaks were fine and that they were just dirty. He then stated he could clean the brakes for an additional $250 fee because my warranty doesn't cover break cleaning. 3 months later and AFTER my service warranty expired I brought my Volvo back to FSK Volvo for service and told the service person I was having trouble with the locking mechanism AGAIN. A few hours later while my Volvo was being service I received a phone call stating my vehicle needed brake pads and the diagnostic revealed a faulty locking mechanism that now would NOT be covered under warranty!!! Needless to say I was livid after her told me EXACTLY what I told him needed repair when my vehicle was STILL under warranty!!! FSK Volvo runs a shady operation!!! read more

From FSK Audi to the new Ourisman Frederick (Service Department) I was a favored (Friends and Family), long- time customer of 13 years with FSK Audi. New ownership took over in 2015. I took my 2007 RS4 in for an alignment which revealed I had a rusty bolt connected to the rear control arm. This bolt needed to be loosened in order to conduct a proper alignment for $179.95. On the service request envelope I also stated I needed the windshield washer jet adjusted if possible (will be done in the 65,000 ml service). When I called my Service Advisor, David Hanna regarding the status of my car (because he never called me) he stated a "sticker shock" price of $202.95! I was only told the inflated price was due to extra ($25) labor fee to loosen the bolt. When I picked up my car, a dialogue ensued with David which included my normal mechanic (Mike) and another Service Advisor, Ray Updike (who was not a part of the discussion). Then there is one advisor, Brian Toms who NEVER talks or acknowledges customers as if they are invisible or something. The discussion became rather tense as David never accessed the labor time with the mechanic for loosening the bolt nor did he know if a new bolt was installed. Mike seemed as if the job was routine when doing an alignment. It was stated they were doing me a favor by adjusting my windshield washer jets. A favor??? The old "family oriented" FSK Audi would have never treated a customer like this or "nickel and dimed" you like this. The fact is....I still have the rusty bolt in my car and they were trying to charge me for turning it!! After being told I could take my business elsewhere by Ray, the extra inflated charges were removed and I just paid for the alignment of $179.95. A comparison of prices for this same alignment is cheaper at Audi of Hunt Valley and Len Stoler Audi both in the state of Maryland. Sadly, I do not feel comfortable with the service, so I will not be returning to this Frederick dealership. The "Friends and Family" way of doing business has left the building feeling like a bad divorce! I never heard of a $25 charge for loosening a bolt underneath the under carriage that will have to be loosened again if I need another wheel alignment. CB read more

I had a great experience on the day I purchased my car but the service and follow up after the sale have been horrible. I had 2 cosmetic things that they agreed to fix after the sale and my sales person would not return my texts (he had been communicating with me via text through the whole shopping/sales experience). Finally called the manager, got the car in and they only fixed one of the two things. Seems like once they made the sale they could care less about anything else. read more

Dan Mangan is the nicest car salesman I have ever worked with - he was great! When I was still in the looking phase I never felt pressured and he provided his cell phone number in case I had any questions. He helped locate the exact car i wanted and got it shipped to their location. On the day I made the plunge, he was very helpful and walked me through all the car features. He assured me I could come back as many times as I needed if I still needed help figuring out the many features...and he called me a few weeks later to check in to see if I was happy with the car and if I had any questions. My husband and I were in the market for a quality used minivan. We researched and visited many dealerships in the tri-state area but none compared to the attentive and efficient treatment we received from our very first visit to Ourisman, Frederick. We met Jeff Eubinag the first day we drove into the lot to look at the Toyota Sienna we had found online. Jeff was helpful and kind without being pushy! We took the car for a test drive and Jeff was able to answer our questions or quickly researched answers if he didn't know them off hand. We ended up purchasing the Sienna and were very pleased with the negotiations! We felt respected and were certainly treated fairly! We ended up with an EXCELLENT deal! The financing team and everyone who worked with us were polite and very helpful and spent time with us answering our questions and making sure we were completely satisfied with our purchase. After buying the car we had some questions about some features that we couldn't figure out and took the car back to see Jeff. He came right out and jumped in the car with us and helped us figure out what we were doing wrong - he found the solution to each of our concerns and did it all with a smile! So very friendly and helpful!!! After a few days we realized that the van was missing the rear window sunscreen on one side. We brought the van back and told them it was missing. They could have gotten away with not replacing the missing part, but they didn't - Matt (I think he's the manager), spoke with me and decided to make it right at the expense of the dealership. The part itself was over $100 and they got it ordered for us and installed it for no charge. This wasn't just a quick done deal buy as we had many questions, but through all our multiple encounters everyone, especially Jeff and Matt, was extremely helpful and courteous!
