So happy to of found this breakfast spot in Temecula! Loved everything from the drinks to the food. We tried the Thai iced tea, and Thai iced coffee... both amazing. Flavorful but not too sweet. I had the weekend special which was bacon con queso benedict! FIRE. Never had a benedict like this and I'm glad I gave it a try. The bread winner was definitely the matcha green tea pancakes!!! Came in on our way out of Temecula. The pictures looked good and I love a good crab Benedict. We were seated right away. The interior is nice. They have instrumental piano playing in the background so the vibe is chill. As for the food, I ordered the crab cake benedict and the wife ordered the monkey job pancake combo. The pancakes looked and tasted great. Loads of fresh sliced banana and Nutella. Delicious! The bacon was crispy with a nice helping of hash browns that were perfectly cooked. My crab Bennie looked great, but I couldn't see the crab cake. When I moved the egg, it was about the size and thickness of a half dollar coin. Not was I would expect for a crab cake. Both patties were that small. I asked the server if that was the correct size and he confirmed it was. I asked to order something else and he took care of it. Just got the eggs, bacon and sausage and shared the pancakes. The sausage was great. As for the service, our server was great. He and the staff took care of our needs quickly. Overall, we liked this restaurant. They lost one star from me for the crab cake. It's an easy fix and shouldn't keep anyone from coming here. We would come back. I was excited to hear about a new local spot. I think we need more locally owned businesses to open. But unfortunately my first experience here wasn't the best. Keep in mind, my experience was via delivery/DoorDash. I ordered the eggs Benedict and it came pretty much mixed up and BARELY any Hollandaise sauce. Which... we all know is a big part of the dish it self. So for those ordering take out, ask for extra on the side. My other thing... my daughter was mid way into eating her kids meal and she pulled out a thin dark/light brown hair. I thought maybe it was mine Bc I was slicing her pancakes. But it wasn't. Staff, PLEASE PLEASE WEAR A HAIR NET. Legit, I lose my appetite with just the combo of my food and the hair was the kicker. I'm really bummed. I was really looking forward to trying this place. It's in a strip mall, but the interior is cute. Unfortunately when I looked at the menu and saw that they were charging $21 for a waffle I just couldn't make myself do that. A batch of waffle mix is $3.24 making an individual waffle is $.21.. I get inflation but I think this is just pure price gouging. Restaurants will go out of business because people cannot afford or will be unwilling to pay prices like this. We asked if there were any gf foods/substitutes - since hubby is gf- and the server shook her head as if she had no idea what we were talking about. The owner- I'm assuming - was the only person taking orders so after missing our ordering window, it definitely took awhile and she was not overly friendly. Never being here before- I thought we tried several of their different categories of food: 2 eggs over easy with potatoes and bacon, a Denver omelette with potatoes, sourdough and a side of hollandaise, and a savory crepe with egg, onion, ham and a side salad. Food came out separately, first the omelette missing the hollandaise, then my hubby's eggs and bacon ( which was the wrong type egg and had sausage and had to be returned ) then dragging five minutes behind was mine- unfortunately, bacon was not cooked the way it was asked for, hollandaise sauce tasted as if it had separated and the salad had no dressing just some kind of oil on it. It seems like they are under staffed, it was the same two gentlemen waiting the entire restaurant but they did a great job. The food is underwhelming, the pancakes were soft but didn't seem to have an actual taste like they were flavorless. My husband got the veggie omelette , there was so much cheese in the omelette you couldn't tell there was anything else in it .. I got the steak & eggs scramble it was good, came out very hot & I finished my entire plate. I ordered a screwdriver (vodka & orange juice) , it had a lot of plump but it was good just needed a little extra ice. Went for breakfast again yesterday with a friend. Food was alright but service could have been better. Vibe in general seemed low energy, like staff just going through the motions. Something I will remember for a while is that my date was offered a drink refill but not me. Also, when they brought the food to the table (we both had potatoes) the server didn't ask if we wanted ketchup. I ordered the crabcake benny which was pretty good but at 16 bucks I think they could have at least dressed my arugala and grilled my english muffin a little more. It was missing texture for me and was a bit mushy but flavor was good and my egg was poached perfectly. They were a bit skimpy on the hollandaise so I asked for more which I wasnt aware costs a dollar but no biggie. Wife ordered the ham onion and cheese crepe. My avo toast with smoked salmon and a poached egg was bland. The salmon wasn't that great - it was very oily . The salad that came with it was wilted and also very oily, and lacked any acidity. I rarely feel write reviews nor do I often feel compelled to do so, that being said, the service here is terrible. I do not know if the waitress I had was having an off day or what but I was honestly irritated by the way I was treated today. She was extremely rude and barely present. I hadn't even gotten through half of my meal before she brought my receipt and asked if I wanted to-go boxes, obviously trying to rush me out of the restaurant. She even snatched a pen from me when I asked for another to sign my receipt and begrudgingly brought a new one. Honestly a waste of $55 to eat here; the food was okay but was truly soiled by feeling like I couldn't sit down, relax and eat breakfast with my daughter. I know that saying "I'll never eat here again" will do little to put a dent in their business but I really think they should take into consideration how the staff treats people because they were not busy enough for that type of attitude to slide. Especially considering I came in 4 hours before closing and there was one other table seated. Tried this place out on Sunday morning. The good: Pancakes were gourmet! We had the Super hero pancakes which consisted of rich, moist red velvet pancakes covered with bananas, strawberries and Nutella as well as whipped cream. Very good. There were lots of options on the pancakes and everything sounded delicious it was hard to decide. The bad: I had a standard breakfast plate with 2 eggs your way, sausage and hash browns. May I add i used to be a line cook myself and understand the restaurant business. Eggs were cooked over easy and done right no complaints sausages were plump juicy and flavorful. What needs to be worked on is your hash browns! Cook them fresh or change your supplier or preparation method but they tasted processed is the best way I could describe them. My wife had the breakfast croissant with bacon, egg and cheese and it was good all around. The only comment she made was it could be improved by a true medium cheddar cheese instead of the American craft style cheese that was on it. Sometimes that's preference. Another thing that could really improve this restaurant is the service. Specifically hiring 1 great server with experience. And getting the timing closer between when pancakes and food comes out. So I give this place four stars due to friendliness of staff, great pancakes and solid breakfast food. Small changes could turn this place to a five star spot for sure. read more

The space inside is nice and we sat in a corner table away from a lot of people. I ordered a chorizo scrambler and it was a decent serving that wasn't super greasy like a lot of other places. My only real knock is that service felt a little subpar compared to everything else. Our waiter had no personality and seemed irritated when we asked for a refill or anything else... it was just weird. There is loads to choose from their menu especially when it comes to their pancakes. So many unique pancake options and from the looks of it from other people around us, big and beautiful presentation! I didn't order any pancakes this time around but I did order a savory crepe. Don't remember the name of it but it was light, fluffy, and stuffed generously. Also came with a small garden salad. Today I took my brother and two sons to After You Cafe for breakfast, they were excited to try the new restaurant. This was my second visit. Our family ordered the chicken salad melt, corned beef swiss omelette with sourdough toast, strawberry red velvet pancakes & a side of sausage, a crab cakes benedict, glass of milk, and 2 cups of coffee. SUPER DISAPPOINTED. First off, the coffee priced at $3.25 a cup was super strong and served with milk, no creamer or half and half was offered. Literally my son after adding the entire container of milk and sugar left it behind as it was bitter and awful. I drank my coffee but was not happy, as I am not a fan of milk, but prefer half and half. His omelette ($14.00) arrived first, he did like it. However the rest of our tables food came out in 6 to 10 minute intervals. Up next pancakes ($15) were served but without butter or syrup and without the side of sausage we ordered, at least we weren't charged for it. Followed 7 minutes later the crab cakes benedict ($16.00) was served on an english muffin that was inedible it was so hard. I actually hurt my hand attempting to cut through it. When I showed the waitress she quickly whisked it away. The chicken melt ($13.50) showed up last. It wasn't a melt as ordered but rather a chicken salad sandwich on toast. After everyone was done eating my corrected meal arrived this time without the house potatoes. I asked where the potatoes were and was told it doesn't come with potatoes...even though it clearly says it on the menu and my receipt, and they had arrived on the first plate. The waitress could have cared less. I wasn't able to eat my entire benedict as we were now late to our next appointment. In addition we were also charged a $2.72 non cash adjustment to our tab. No where did it say we would be charged this by paying with an ATM card. I could have paid cash...For $76.67 plus tip I left frustrated, and still hungry. UNDERWHELMED by the experience. Overpriced, lack of basic customer service, poor value, food arriving at weird intervals, and a ridiculous surcharge. Would not recommend. Won't be back. read more

We were so excited to try this new spot. We were very disappointed! I could write a book, but Ill break it down. Impression: The restaurant looks nice from outside. Clean and inviting. We visited on a Monday morning and found it fairly busy, but with open tables. We stood inside the door for just under 10 minutes before being acknowledged by either of the two servers. There was no host/hostess. Service: We got lucky, and got sat after 12 minutes, without anyone waiting ahead of us. We watched three families wait and leave before getting sat. We waited for 12 minutes before a server greeted us. It was very awkward when our server placed their hands on the middle of the table while taking our order. They leaned on the table while talking to us. Our food started coming fairly quickly after we ordered, which was nice. Our food came out in shifts. We never saw our server again until we got the check! Food: Pancakes had a great flavor, but very dry. Croissant was nice, however it came with mayo on it, which was not in the description. The sandwich had half melted kraft singles. The crepe had partially melted cheese, and was soggy from the salad dressing. The rest of our food was typical diner food. Nothing extra, low quality, bland. I thought the coffee was good but I never got a refill on my coffee! Facility: The restaurant as a whole was nice and clean, however, I took my six-year-old daughter to the bathroom to find no seat covers, and no toilet paper! Value: I wouldn't say that the food was bad, necesarily; but low quality ingredients, and honestly, terrible service. Prices are high, but Im realizing that this is the norm, post pandemic. My hubby has been here a few times and has enjoyed it, so we decided to go here instead of braving Sunday morning breakfast crowds in Old Town. I'm so glad we gave it a try! The breakfast potatoes are amazing! I also had an omelet and it was tasty too. My hubby likes a simple breakfast, just bacon and eggs and this was good too. Prices are reasonable. Service was okay, but we had to wait longer than we liked to be approached by a server. I'm looking forward to trying the spicy benedict next time. The only negative is they charge some sort of extra service fee. "Non-cash adjustment" I think they call it. I would rather pay a little bit more for my meal than have an extra charge.
