We just attended a get-together with the Facebook group "Baldwin County Foodies" and were impressed…read morewith this quaint locally owned and operated business, full name "Le Bouchon Wine and Tapas Bar". It's in the "downtown" section of Daphne, which is pretty small but easy to find. It's parallel to Hwy 98 on scenic 98. Speaking of small, there are a couple of comfy seating areas, with couches and chairs, high-top tables, and a small bar. Upon entering we noticed the shotgun shake elongated space but it's very laid back and intimate with a nice atmosphere and vibe. Despite the limited space, they had a dude playing guitar and singing by the front door, nice and mellow too. There's a respectable choice of wines, but not overdone like some of the more pretentious places plus they have several craft beers, beers on tap and sparkling fizzy choices. Good news, if you're not a connoisseur you can also sample some of the wines, nice touch. We were greeted by Jessica, she rocked, and she guided us through the specials and all about the wines and foods. She took excellent care of us throughout the visits and made it a joy. While they had a bbq chicken slider being made that was not on the menu, and it sounded good, we got a flatbread pizza and the roasted red pepper hummus with pita bread and veggies. Both were outstanding, fresh, and a very good pairing for my sweetheart's wine and the stout beer that I chose. However, I regretted not getting their huge and inviting-looking charcuterie board, it's loaded full of different cheeses, olives, meats, and more, next time for sure. I got to meet quite a few people from our group, everyone seemed to enjoy their choices of food and libations so I feel pretty good that everyone enjoyed themselves and I look forward to doing it again real soon! Big shout out to Chace Yamagata for making it all happen, way to go!!!!!!! Bottom line: The atmosphere, friendly people, and great service, with creative and fresh food offerings and course the wines make this a really great place anytime. Chill time especially and I highly recommend chillin' here! https://www.lebouchon.biz/ https://www.facebook.com/LeBouchonBar

Passing through from out of town. We decided to spend the night in Daphne, and after some research…read morewe ultimately decided Le Bouchon was the perfect place for a date night following a long drive from Houston, TX. My fiancée and I shared a bottle of wine along with a few tapas. We engaged in great conversation with the staff and felt so welcomed. My only regret is us having to leave so soon. I highly recommend Le Bouchon if you are looking for a place with great wine, great conversation, and great food. I can't thank the staff enough for making us out-of-towners feeling so welcome. If we are ever in town again I know we will definitely stop by. Thank you!!

Stopped in on a Thursday evening just as they opened. Beautiful open dining room and bar. Next was a half dozen perfectly prepared broiled oysters from Murder Point. Perfect size, and a great balance of seasoning. The entree was the pan seared Snapper. Throughout dinner, my bartender walked me through each selection with on-point descriptions of what flavors to expect, how and why each ingredient was used. Excellent dinner. Two thumbs up and 5 stars!

This ginormous BLT was every bit as delicious as it was huge! The bacon was crisped to perfection, I didn't even feel too sorry for the pig, ok maybe a little but just wow! The flavors were over the top! It was served on house made sourdough bread, as if that wasn't enough... they fried the bread oh my goodness it was PERFECT! I also had a tasty iced coffee with brown sugar and pralines it was so good. I love how it wasn't overly sweet, I want a nice treat with caffeine not diabetes. It hit the spot. I appreciate that they have oat milk or almond in addition to cows milk. If I can't say enough nice things let me add that my server Brandy was very kind, attentive and if I were her boss I would be very happy because she's the kind of person you want to represent your business. The ambience and decor were also very nice, it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say soothing. Even though it was an absolutely beautiful day I chose to sit my skinny derrière inside on the padded half booth because I had been outside all day riding and wanted to relax. The Barn at the Hope Farm is a lovely spot to grab a latté and a croissant or a little lunch. I recommend it for those of us who prefer gracious living and don't just eat to survive.

Buster's Brick Oven - Margherita

Buster's Brick Oven is the pizza side of Manci's Antique Club which is run like a separate business…read morewhile it also physically connected to Manci's. The atmosphere at Buster's Brick Oven seems more upscale than the more dive bar ambiance of Manci's. They offer more than just pizza here but pizza seems to be the featured item. I sampled a Margherita pizza at Buster's Brick Oven and honestly it wasn't my favorite version of that particular pizza but it was alright. I also tried their Bison Burger which I ordered medium and it arrived with charred, burned and very crunchy meat on the outside but better on the inside with a side of charred and burned green beans... I will be sticking with the food on the Manci's Antique Club side! Ultimately the food on the Manci's side is far superior to me. The same folks that own Callaghan's Irish Social Club in Mobile have taken over Manci's and added the pizza addition of Buster's Brick Oven. Overall this is a great neighborhood spot which gives you the choice of the more "upscale" pizza side or the more classic dive bar side with different menus available in each. So far my experience with Buster's Brick Oven has convinced me to stick with the food at Manci's!

We really love their pizza here ! It's super delicious…read more We actually drive here from our home in Louisiana. It has live music on the weekends. One of the best brick oven restaurants around. They have a full bar. If you eat here, their Caesar salads also. We will be back on our next trip east.
