Don't let their pizzas distract you because their Turkey Sandwich with bacon jam is money. They give you thick Smokey Turkey slices, no thin deli nonsense here. Loads of bacon with a sweet jam. I could eat that all day. So so good. The bread could barely hold it all together but I didn't care about the mess because I couldn't stop stuffing my face. We've ordered from Otto south Boston in the past but never again. We ordered a large pepperoni and it was BEYOND thin crust. Like too thin--like they ran out of dough and was trying to make it last for all the orders tonight. It tasted like eating paper thin cardboard. Super disappointing and their pizza isn't cheap. Cheese also tasted a bit weird. They also sliced it so bizarrely, some huge slices and some super small slices. All around disappointing. UPDATE to my Prior Review: One of the reps high-up at Otto reached out to me after being made aware of the poor experience I had by the social media team. He apologized profusely for the poor experience, the delay in making it right, and owned up to the poor experience. He ensured that the salad was refunded to me and was incredibly helpful and apologetic, as my poor experience isn't the typical experience they want a customer to have. It's rare to find companies that will own up to a poor experience and/or mistake. I applaud the team at Otto for making it right. I genuinely appreciate it and it goes a very long way for me. I do hope this location in particular improves the quality of the food and pays better attention going forward. I would consider giving it another shot in the future. Was craving pizza and as a vegetarian, Otto has a great buffalo cauliflower pizza. So I decided to place a pick up order, I live about 20 minutes from this establishment. My husband and I drove down to pick up the pizza, upon arrival back home we opened the box and before we could realize that it wasn't cauliflower but a whole pizza filled with chicken we both took a bite! Immediately I call the establishment and told them what happened, I was put on hold to see what they could do about the situation. The young man came back on the phone and proceeded to tell me I had to wait until tomorrow and speak to the head manger to see if I would be able to get a refund. I told him that the mistake happened today, so why should I have to call tomorrow to see if I could get a refund. The customer service is 0-10. Only when I complained further and said this situation should be dealt with tonight, I was offered to be made another pizza once I brought back the pizza that was made in error. Ate at the one at Logan Airport. The absolute worst pizza I've ever had in 41 years on earth! I'm being dead serious when I say frozen Bagel Bites are SIGNIFICANTLY better. Ordered for pick-up online and the ordering process was easy. According to the tracking system it was suppose to be ready by 7:12pm. We left to go pick it up when it the tracker said it was ready since it's down the street hoping it would be quick grab and go but boy was that far from reality. Once we got there and asked for our order, the staff then STARTED to make it. It was then they took our order receipt and put it to the order window. I ordered it to be picked up at 7:12pm not to start making at that time. It took another 30 minutes before I was able to get my pizzas. I wouldn't have been as upset if they actually updated the online tracking system to reflect actual time because then I wouldn't have been forced to stand in the store to wait for the pizza with everyone else who was waiting and maintaining social distance being difficult. In regards to the pizza, the toppings are definitely on the skimpy side. For the price of the pizza, I would've expected more toppings and the other locations I've been to have been better. The pizza tasted good but if I weigh everything that's happened, definitely not worth it. The only reason it gets 3 stars is because the taste and texture of pizza was good. read more

Ordered Otto's on Friday during quarantine, placed pickup order through their website at 7:30pm. Very surprised to see our order wouldn't be ready for pickup until 9pm! We tried to call the restaurant for confirmation (we called 15 times over a 15 minute period), phone line was either not picked up or went busy every time. Terrible service, couldn't cancel online. Also a bummer they don't offer delivery or associate themselves with any delivery options! Overall service 1/5. We decided to stick out the long delivery time (as we couldn't cancel online or contact anyone at the store), picked up order at 9:10pm. Arrived home pizza was still warm, so I guess the long pickup time was correct. To the pizza, there has been a lot of hype for this place and it semi lived up to expectations. The sauce, toppings and cheese were fine, but the crust was really the best part. Probably the best crust I've honestly tasted in years! Overall pizza 4/5. I realize the pandemic is causing functional issues and huge demand, but not picking up the phone and having 1.5 hour pickup wait times is craziness. Never again. Absolute insanity. I had pizza from one of their other locations and it was pretty damn good so I figured I'd order from the South Boston location as it is closest to home. The estimated wait time was about 30 min - no issue there - I purposely arrived about 10 minutes late because I understand how busy a place like this can get, and rather than rushing them I figured I'd give them some extra time. I was initially told my pizzas weren't ready yet - again, I'm patient - no big deal. Perhaps I'm too patient because after another 20 minutes of standing around I spoke up to another employee who very matter of factly told me that he had given my pizzas, inexplicably, to an Uber Eats driver about a half hour prior. I couldn't make sense of it since I had ordered directly, and it wasn't a delivery order. He offered a blank stare and zero explanation, and told me that he would have made them again for me, but they were closing. Naturally I requested a refund but was told I would have to physically come back the next day when the manager was present. What world are we living in here? Fast forward 6 months to tonight - my wife decides to give them another chance. She walks in and orders 2 pizzas. She said it was very busy and was told 30-40 minutes. No big deal, sometimes in life you have to wait. She waited about 50 minutes or so and then asked the gentleman at the counter what the status was in the pizzas... and, you guessed it, my pizza was actually ready and still in the building... but they gave hers to an Uber Eats driver! What... the... f--- ? A 0% success rate. I'd rather eat Celeste pizza knowing an Uber Eats driver isn't going to somehow intercept it. What a disaster. read more
