I am currently on the hunt for a new car , me and my wife decided to stop by on there labor day…read moresale at the Northridge mall parking lot. I was greeted by a awesome sales man but don't remember his name at the moment. He let me test drive a impala 2008 , which I did not like so he offered a little something different and we took a 2010 Honda accord and I was sold by this one. It was the best car I have driven the past months . One problem it had 112,000 miles and we want something under 50,000 so he showed us a 2009 with close miles to what we wanted . It was getting late and my son was with the babysitter so we had to leave. I left really happy with the service . I did not get pressured by the sales man like other lots around town where they want you to just drive off or go in the office to soon. I will be looking for a Honda accord 2008 & up with under 50,000 miles and be purchasing it . I hope the car lot can get one soon , I will definitely be returning if I find a matching car to my needs . Sorry I can't release his name wish I got a business card but was so busy test driving all there awesome cars. I forgot to add . The man that helped me out also offered me a quick approximate of what I would pay with a car worth (xx) amount and he said a guy has gotten one and took it 5 years around 270 a month. Which of course is just a estimate . But most other places I go that I ask always want me to go in there office , which I do not like at all .

I went in to buy a 2004 Toyota 4Runner that I was very excited about. Angel helped me out and took us for a test drive and everything seemed ok at first. I looked under the hood and the engine was detailed to look shiny and clean but it was clear there was a nest in the center of the 4.7l V8 engine that you had to look for more than a glance to see. Worse, I peeked under the car and there is transfer case fluid dripping from the transfer case and 4wd actuator. I crawled under to find out that someone attempted to spray a foam insulation to soak up and stop the leak (not sure how devious JJ's mechanics are, but even if it wasn't them it was impossible to miss). pictures attached to show what it looked like yesterday and what it is supposed to look like. They are trying to hide a 2300$ part problem that requires Toyota techs with an 8$ can of spray. I almost fell for it, and I'm sure a dummy that doesn't know to look under a car might miss it. Unfortunately, the salesman did not try to work a deal out. He just asked what I want to do. I posited that they knock 2500$ off the price to account for the broken part, and he just said 'no' without a negotiation. THEY THEN TRIED TO SELL IT TO ME WITH A WARRANTY AND TELL ME TO USE THE WARRANTY ON A PRE-EXISTING PROBLEM! I'm not sure what the AUL warranty service will think when I let them know about JJ's business practices. I should have looked on Yelp and not just Google for a true review. Owner or 'Finance Manager', respond back with a time and I'll give you a call if you want to try to fix yourselves and make this right. If not, no worries. Just understand that I'll warn every NPS and DLI student about my experiences with you.

WOW, I was shocked by their tactics, as I sat there waiting I saw a salesman receive a call and not sure what the call was about but I can only imagine. What I heard was "let me ask my boss", the salesman proceeded to put the phone down stay seated on his chair after about a minute he came back to the customer and proceeded to say 'no, I'm sorry my boss said we couldn't". Not only did he flat out lie to the customer, he didn't mind me witnessing the whole thing. I still proceeded to try to work out a deal I was gonna trade a car which happened to have the check engine light on, I had already been quoted a price and then when they were inspecting my car I told them about the check engine light and he said their mechanic would inspect it. They did and stated it was no big deal. The salesman goes to a back room and talks to a guy who I assume is the owner of the dealership, after a lengthy wait all of a sudden the price of the car I'm trying to purchase goes up by 1K. I think not, we left and never returned their calls. I was still gonna ask them to come down at least 2K. The sad thing is that they will rip off some body who is dumb enough to let them.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would…read more My family and I visited Gold Star Salinas a few months ago looking specifically for a DIESEL TRUCK. At first, the experience seemed promising; the sales staff were friendly and helpful, although they didn't have the exact color we wanted on the lot. They had me test drive a truck and assured us they would locate the right one. Soon after, they told us they found a match at another dealership and arranged to bring it over. A few days later, we returned to complete the paperwork. That's when everything changed. The salesperson's attitude was noticeably different. Even my wife pointed out how rushed and dismissive they had become. We felt pressured to sign quickly without the same level of care or transparency shown earlier. Within a few days, I discovered the truck we purchased was actually GAS, NOT DIESEL. The exact opposite of what we had clearly asked for from the start. When I called the dealership to address the mistake, their response was shockingly unprofessional: "What's the difference?" That alone tells you everything you need to know about their level of competence and customer care. The difference is huge! It mattered enough for us to make it clear from day one. Despite this being caught within less than 10 days, and the truck barely being driven. They made no real effort to fix their mistake or make things right. This experience felt careless at best and deceptive at worst. If you value honesty, attention to detail, and basic customer service, I strongly recommend staying far away. I want to leave a very positive review for David Gonzalez (Sales & Leasing Specialist) at Gold Star…read moreBuick GMC in Salinas, CA. To be clear: I did NOT buy a car from David, but I'm writing this because of how he treated my wife and me. When I'm in the market again, David will be the first person I contact -- and I recommend others do the same. My wife and I drove 106 miles to see a used 2022 Honda Pilot after being told it was still available and that we should come in for a test drive. We even texted updates on our arrival time and asked if a manager could be available to help expedite things when we got there. When we arrived, the original salesperson was tied up and introduced us to David to help. David was friendly, engaging, and thoughtful, and as we walked to the vehicle he made us feel welcomed. Unfortunately, before we could even properly look the car over, a manager came out and told us the vehicle had already been sold. That was disappointing after a two-hour drive. The policy was explained, but the tone started to feel more like a lecture than customer care -- so we decided to politely disengage and head back to our car. This is where David truly stood out. David followed us, apologized sincerely, and said, "I want to make this right." He wasn't pushy at all -- just genuinely empathetic and solution-oriented. He offered to find the same vehicle in the same color, stayed in touch, and communicated proactively throughout the process. He texted updates without us having to chase him, responded quickly, and put in real effort over several days to try to acquire the right match. When the vehicle arrived, David immediately sent pictures. Unfortunately, it turned out not to be the color we wanted (and it's possible I mixed up the exact shade originally), so we didn't move forward -- but that doesn't change the point: David's professionalism, integrity, and follow-through were exceptional, especially considering the original issue wasn't even his fault. If you want someone who will treat you with respect, communicate clearly, and genuinely advocate for you, ask for David Gonzalez.

(Legally, the car was still his, so he HAD to do the smog test. Fortunately, he passed it after thousands of dollars fixing the problem) The car was doing fine for a while, but I realized it was taking a toll on my wallet because it was taking up a lot of gas, and sometimes, I would have to rev it quite a bit for it to go up hills. At first, I thought it was just because it was an old car and it was pretty heavy. So I decided to take it to Fast Cash to see if they could get me approved for a loan (I have no credit whatsoever), and if I could trade in my Volkswagen to cover up for some of the down payment. Sue and Gus, the owners of Fast Cash, were extremely friendly and they definitely wanted to help me out the most that they could. They searched up all and any banks that were willing to give me the loan, and since I had no credit, unfortunately the APR is very high, but they told me that just after 6 months, I could refinance and it would be all good. In the end, I traded in my Passat at $2000 and paid $1000 down for an 06 Honda Civic Coupe. They changed the windshield wipers for me and made sure that the car was in good condition. The only reason why I give them 4 stars is that they did not give us warranty. Unfortunately, I found out 6 months after driving the Honda, my engine block had been cracked. My mechanic told me that the only way to fix this was through replacing the engine, which would cost me $3000 - $4000. When I called Fast Cash and asked them if we had warranty on the car, they said that we probably didn't, and when I looked at the documents, there wasn't any warranty on it. So, in truth, they did sell me a faulty car (I could not have caused it because it takes a LOT for the engine block to crack, but I did not have any accidents, minor or major, not even a bump). They did say that the car had a clean title, but my s/o's father, who is a car detailer, saw that they had repainted one side of the car, so I had my doubts, but decided to trust Fast Cash anyway. Turns out that 06-09 Honda's have had engine block problems, and so Honda issued a technical service bulletin (10-048) that extended their warranty for engine block repair to all 06-09 Honda owners for 10 years from purchase date. Luckily, my Honda qualified for the warranty, and so now it is at the Honda Service Center getting an engine block replacement, free of charge. I wish Fast Cash had had that information prior to selling me the car so that I would not have had the breakdown after receiving news of the engine block crack. Instead, I had to research for quite a bit to find this miracle. Otherwise, I would have given them the 5 stars because everything else they did for me was superb.

They are very polite and keep you updated with business. It is up lifting satisfaction.read more
