I opted for a salad-bowl type dish, full of fresh delicious veggies (which was much needed after a long flight.) However, they also had plenty of heartier dishes if you needed something with a bit more weigh to it. All food is ordered at the counter and the employees were very helpful guiding my partner and I (and easily accommodated our english only language skills.) The space on the inside was a bit on the small side, but they had a lovely patio in the back that's perfect in the beautiful summer season of Oslo. Definitely a necessary stop for vegans traveling through.

It was time to try reindeer while in the Nordic region of the world, so here I did. I ordered the reindeer stew, which was delicious. The reindeer stew was similar to a beef stew, but the reindeer is leaner, so didn't taste as heavy, which is a good thing. Over some mashed potatoes with a gravy and herbs and a side of lingonberry, it completed the meal. It also came with a side of complimentary bread, which is not always the case at other restaurants. That was a nice bonus though because the bread helped soaked up the stew. Perfection!

I had the linguine with creamy shellfish sauce, scampi, lemon, squash and chili. Scampi is not shrimp, but langoustine, which is an orange-colored crustacean native to the northeastern Atlantic and Mediterranean. It is known for its small, slender claws, and is more like a mini-lobster than shrimp. The sauce was flavorful and overall was an excellent dish. My wife had the Pasta pollo ubriaco, which is rigatoni in a rich, creamy tomato sauce with chili, chicken fillet and bacon. Also excellent. I thought we should split a side salad, but it was anything but small. Quite tasty, but we were stuffed at this point. Overall, a great dining experience.
