It was the same person who rang us up minutes prior. We didn't even take it out of the box... just literally felt it inside the box and realized it's not what he wanted. I mean, I would probably understand if that was shown anywhere in the store or even on the receipt... but nope. See picture for return policy on the receipt. I've been coming here for a couple of years now. Recently, I came here and the guest service was on point. It wasn't until I got to the checkout counter that things just became very annoying. I selected a couple of tees for my daughter and niece. My intentions were to pay together and get two separate shopping bags for my daughter and niece. The cashier tells me," I'm sorry but unfortunately we didn't order enough bags to give you two." Really? I responded," That's poor management on behalf of your store. What are guests supposed to do if you run out of bags?" No response. I requested to have my daughter's and niece's items rang separately to obtain two separate bags. After ringing the second purchase she still asks me the stupidest question," Do you mind if I bag everything inside of one bag?" I replied," Of course. I need two bags. I paid separately. Give me two bags." Having worked retail before. I understand the policies regarding not giving people empty shopping bags without purchases. There's a belief that giving them an empty shopping bag will allow them to shoplift. In my case. It was just stupid. Still give them four stars for service, selection and value for my money.

Basically it's like a Abercrombie & Fitch store for smaller people. Sometimes, just SOMETIMES if your an adult you can possibly squeeze into a kids XL, or like I've seen some women do, they wear the boys clothes... Sometimes it gets a little crazy in here, with all the clearance stuff thrown on the floor, and littering the third room. But that only happens when the store in a hyper active mode. AKA Christmas time. I personally don't have kids, but I'm probably never going to buy them stuff from here. It's just messy and freakishly weird.

I'd like to tell my experience about the time Ive walked into a Torrid store in Cerritos and bought…read morenothing. People who know me, know I love Torrid. I've been shopping at Torrid since it opened in the early 2000's. Torrid stores in California, Texas and Kansas. Since 2020, I haven't stepped in a Torrid Brick and Mortar store. I usually shop online. Yesterday I decided to head to Torrid Cerritos. Two ladies behind the counter turned around from handling clothes behind the counter and hurriedly said welcome then turned back continuing on with clothes. I looked around for a few pieces in the front, but I wanted help with narrowing down a dress for church that I had to be at in an hour. When I asked for help one of the ladies didn't appear happy. Because one of them had to help me, she appeared almost annoyed. I told her my size when she asked and she immediately started saying she wasn't sure she had my size in her store. I knew that was not true because I saw a couple of newer pieces in the front. She said she might have some in the clearance rack and she started trying to pull pieces from the Clearance rack. Usually the clearance rack has very outdated clothing. But she assumed I couldn't afford a new dress or something. After a couple of minutes she pulled out an atrocious muted peach dress that was from 10 or more summers ago, at least it looked like it. It looked see through, the employee tried to gaslight me into thinking it wasn't. At that point I was ready to leave. I went back to front of the store and just decided to leave. I've never felt so bad. I was treated really poorly, tossed aside. The employee had a take it or leave it attitude. I was looking for a little grace, dignity and Respect. I left there thinking this is the last time I'll be patronizing Torrid. I never could have imagined that I'd be saying goodbye to my old faithful clothing store. Torrid, you were good until you weren't.

At the Lakewood mall--Hubby & I were looking for his Stafford shirts at JC Penney. I walked past Target heading to JCP as I glanced over & noticed Carter's Clearance---made a bee line for it & Bam! Yes, this is perfect! The plan was to head over to Marshals to get a gift for a co-worker's baby shower. I barely know her & heck, I didn't even know the baby's gender. So I asked one of the employees, Marsela, if they have blankets or anything gender neutral to give. Unfortunately, she said, not at this time but maybe later on. They've just open this store about 3 months ago. She proceeded to show me ideas for gender neutral gifts. She was pleasant & helpful. Hubby was waiting so I was in & outta there like swimwear! Now there's this option to buy baby clothes. Love it!

We were welcomed when we went in and everything was largely stocked and well organized. No half opened or messy bottles of product or anything. AC was decent in this location. They didn't quite have as much Halloween stuff as I would have liked, but this isn't a stand alone outdoor location, so that makes sense. Giving the store a good once-over, my gift card was inclined to purchase a clay face mask. Bath & Body Works had 2 options, and after asking the staff members their recommendations, I went with their Clay Face Mask with kaolin clay, bentonite clay & Vitamin E. I've been using the product on & off again, and have been happy with the results. So much, I plan to keep it in my personal grooming rotation, just not particularly this specific product, to maximize value. The staff were friendly & helpful during my visit. There were only a few customers shopping, so wait was minimal. If looking for grooming and/or beauty products, I highly recommend Bath & Body Works.
