OMG. I have found a new restaurant in my realm of amazing places to go. Headed to this place after a day at the outlet malls and came after seeing the yelp reviews. NO REGRETS. Prices for the sushi and other entrees are about as good as they get. Good value, and super tasty. For example, take the appetizers. The salmon kama is delicious and you get so much for what you pay--it is served on a large dish with a pretty big salad as well. The tofu adegashi was also delicious. Still dreaming about it. The sushi is also pretty good value and very tasty. It's around $8 a roll for dinner--which is practically a steal. The ramen broth is not oily/thick/super rich as you find in many ramen joints around town. It tastes like it was brewed from bone and is different in taste, although I'm not sure which one I like better yet. This is probably healthier. 5/5s all around. Will be coming back when I am in the area! Too bad Oshima isn't in Bellevue or I would be coming here more often! read more

This is one of our favorite Sushi places in Everett. Nice bar, good service and wonderful sushi. We have eaten at every sushi house you can think of and this by far beats the rest. For the quality and price you won't beat it. Ordered the Shrimp Lover Roll, Seared Salmon, California Roll, and Bento Box with chicken. The Shrimp Lover roll was great. It had a nice crunch from the tempura batter and was still fresh. The seared salmon was okay. The seat could have been done hotter so just the outside has been cooked. Instead it seemed like the used a cooler flame and let it cook the whole piece of salmon. The California rolls were the most disappointing. They didn't taste fresh, almost like they made a bunch earlier and then just put them on the plate. There was a clear difference between the rice on the other rolls. Bento box was more for my kids. They enjoyed it but it wasn't anything special. Presentation was wonderful, not the best I have ever seen but they made an effort. They are very friendly to you and very accommodating. What a nice find only 15 from Alderwood Mall. For the amount of food you get this place makes the worth it list. It's hard to find a place that has soups and sushi but here is the perfect balance we've been dreaming of. They have ramen and udon combos that come with a choice of rolls that fills the part of us that wants everything. Also they have a nice list of drinks to choose from from soda to sake. The spicy tuna roll is spicer than usual places but it's kinda nice that way. The udon in the combo is regular udon without meat but the little dried tofu is my new favorite thing. Cute sushi restaurant off of Evergreen Way. A good size menu that includes both sushi, sashimi as well as cooked items. The staff was really kind, especially since they were open on New Year's Day. Updating my review to two stars on January 23, 2020 I stopped in for a to go order yesterday after leaving Boeing's credit Union across the street wanted to give them another try during lunchtime for a more affordable quick bite to eat but it was a total fail. Such limited options, Basically showed me my choice of chicken teriyaki and getting four pieces of sushi tossed in on the deal I was looking for a lot more options on a lunch menu at a place open right in the middle of the day I looked at the measly options and didn't feel like paying $14 after-tax for a quick lunch bite to go so I just walked out the door. I could have sworn that I researched this a little bit and saw they had Bento box combinations that were more affordably priced but the idiot hostess that showed me what the lunch options were did not point me to any other choice so I left and I'll never be back. -______________ First visit impressions were very clean place. Very prompt friendly service. Sushi roll quality was at least par maybe slightly above average. I ordered one rainbow roll and one crazy monkey roll and a Sapporo beer ( small ) My order came to $26.19 with tax. Gave them $30 which included tip and felt that it was maybe slightly overpriced for what I got. I will try them out again at lunchtime and see if there is better value then. My two star Deduction is a combination of average quality sushi rolls and the fact the waitress never cleared my dirty dishes after I was obviously done eating and especially upon when she presented me the bill at the end and I had already stack the dirty dishes at the corner of the table which clearly indicated I was no longer eating. This may seem trivial but in such a small place when the waitress was not busy whatsoever on a Tuesday night it just seemed really lacking attention to make the customer stare at their dirty dishes for 10 minutes after completing their meal. I really like this place. Recently moved back to the area after being away for a few years, and I'm glad they're still here, and still good! Decent for both dine-in and delivery. Their California/Rainbow rolls are particularly tasty. Consistent quality. One of my favorites is the Genki roll. Great value for the money, too--you get a lot of food, and the specialty rolls are large, tasty, and satisfying. Extensive menu and a few interesting options you don't find everywhere. The staff is lovely and the dine-in experience is comfortable and relaxed. There are a couple of local sushi places with a slightly more sophisticated approach, but you can't beat Oshima for value, consistency, and a great casual meal. My wife family use to own a restaurant nearby this place. And also remembering this sushi restaurant being there before the family business got closed down. We drove by and was interested in seeing the old place and grabbing food from oshima for the first time. We ended up ordering the chicken teriyaki combo with a side of sashimi for $2 extra we called in and the waitress said it be ten mins for the order to be ready. My wife ended up deciding to order Thai food near by and there service was fast and quick, she picked up the Thai food first cause oshima said they were still preparing the food it was no big deal but we ended up waiting for almost forty mins for our food. Teriyaki was your average everyday teriyaki, the salad had a distinct metal after taste, the miso soup was sad, and the sashimi was good for four small pieces. This place has amazing, fresh sashimi. They slice it extra large and give you lots of shiso leaf, which a lot of places don't do. We got two deluxe sashimi combos and between 5 people we still didn't finish. At least 6 different kinds of sashimi too, maybe 7. The service was only so-so, and slow, but given the quality of food, I don't even care. We aren't usually out here this often, but when we are coming out we'll def be back. I just ate at Oshima and barely made it back to my hotel. I'm cramping on the toilet writing this in pain. I showed up around 08:50 and they close at 10:00 it was a little dead as it was the end of the night. I ordered the Karen roll, Alaskan roll and Genchi baked roll. The Alaskan roll was supposed to be the freshest and there was just a slightly weird taste to it. I eat sushi a lot and hoped that it hadn't gone completely bad. It was slight enough that I let it go. Well it turns out I was given fish that probably was too old to serve. I'm not giving 1 star because the other rolls were good and prices were decent. Ownership, if you see this. Please change your ways. You shouldn't serve bad fish because it's your last customers of the night and you need to get rid of it. I've been very skeptical about the sushi in Everett, and at first I was thrown off by the location of Oshima, but as soon as we were inside the staff was very welcoming and friendly and the food looked much more well-put-together than most of the places I've tried in the area. I'd had a lot of salmon rolls that felt very chewy, like the fish wasn't very good quality and was frozen, but was happy to find that this wasn't the case with Oshima.
