Really enjoyed my visit here at this relatively new Thai BBQ spot. The service is pretty good and they have a number of combos that are decent value and can feed 3-4 people. I came here twice and ordered the Osha Premium and I Love Mookata sets. Both were good and came with lots of variety. The meat quality was decent, and concept of the spot was good. There was also complimentary Thai tea ice cream at the end!

Hello Thai BBQ! A nice change from KBBQ and JBBQ! This experience was quite unique. The grill is pretty standard, but you get to pick a soup broth to fill in the troth/most surrounding the grill. Go for the Tom Kha (the coconut based one),it's delicious!!! You get a side of veggies to go in it if you order a set meal, which is also a great way to get a variety of items for a group. We decided to get some drinks with our meal- Thai milk tea slushy and Osha pineapple slushy. Both very delicious!! Your meal also comes with ice cream, which is also Thai milk tea. The wait staff were great. Team felt small, but they were very attentive. The only complaint I have about our meal is the ventilation system. While there was an exhaust right above where we sat, it was very greasy. I noticed that grease was dripping from the edges and onto seats. I didn't notice this until halfway through the meal and honestly, it did impact how I felt about the rest of the meal. I was worried we would get grease dripped on us.

4.5 New place that opened up in the Asia food mart plaza. Quite busy and great for big parties. The combos have quite a lot of meat. We got the Porkylicious and we were already quite full at the half way point. The fire is quite hard to control and we had to ask to adjust it a few times. Quite worth it for the price and there's a lot to try and eat. The service was nice and it's a nice experience. I would definitely recommend the seafood glass noodles it's spicy and has that fresh taste. We got all the sauces and our favourite was the sukiyaki. It went well with everything. The coconut broth was amazing, tasted like a unspicy version of tum yum but you can still taste the coconut.

Meat me tonight and Tom Kha broth

Came here with a friend and between the two of us we got the Meat Me Tonight set and two bowls of rice. In addition to the meat and veggies, it came with broth and dips platter. We chose the Tom Kha broth which we put the veggies and vermicelli noodles in which was - so good! Meat and dips were ok. Overall everything was good and service was very friendly. To top it off the price was extremely reasonable with the 10% promo going on rn. We were more than satisfied between the two of us.

The hotpot soup base was the coconut one since the Tom yum was sold out. I found that quite odd since that's such a classic flavour for Thai cuisine. However the coconut soup was delicious and super flavourful. Two things about my experience made me give a mediocre review. 1. It was so hot inside the restaurant. The weather was 30 degrees outside and I was hoping for some reprieve but it felt like it was hotter. There was no air conditioning and my friend and I both felt super damp while eating. It was a bit uncomfortable when your arms are beginning to drip in sweat. 2. Selection was a bit lacking in what we could eat compared to other hotpot and bbq places. It felt like we could only order meats/ seafood and veggies. They also limit how many times you can refill your dipping sauces. You also can't change to another sauce. You're stuck with the ones you choose from the beginning. And the hotpot was hard to put food in and take out. The vermicelli noodles are easily caught on the grill so you need to be careful. I just felt restricted in my choices and it felt a bit like a gimmick since it was a bit hard to eat but it was very pretty when it arrived to the table. If I'm gonna be spending so much, I'd rather be eating at a place that gives me more freedom.

First time coming here to celebrate my birthday with friends. I never thought we would try barbecue and hot pot style for Thai food, but I have to say it is pretty good, and I would definitely come back again. Their Thai milk tea slush was so good, but I would like to order other drinks they have to try out. The service is good. They checked on us from time to time and explained the food and sauce since it was our first time. The atmosphere is good, with no loud music, and the place is roomy.

Really enjoyed this new concept. The sauces and the broth for the hotpot portion was the highlight. You'll enjoy all the sauces not too spicy and really goes well with the meat. We really recommend the coconut broth Tom Kra!! So good with the veggies. Their garlic rice was really well done too. The downside is it does get very smokey and the floors were a bit greasy when we went. We'd go back for the broth and unique sauces.

The food portions were slightly small for the combo we ordered. The server suggested it for us as a group of 4, and it was slightly smaller portion than expected so would suggest to order more next time. The ventilation was not really working when we went so the floors and seating are covered in a layer of oil. You can see the outline of oil around your seat when you sit up and the floor is slippery due to the oil. The air is also cloudy and hazy in the restaurant due to the accumulation of smoke from the bbq. Our hot pot portion of the bbq was also not very hot, 40min into cooking and the soup base wasn't boiling or hot enough to cook the veggies that we put inside.

We had reservations for 6:30pm on a Friday night and got seated right away, although I did try to come once on a Saturday night and it was a two hour wait. We had a group of 7 people and they fit us into a table with two grills and to me it felt a little tight. We ordered the premium set which was very pork heavy on the items. We also ordered a smaller set as well since they said the premium set only feeds about 4 people. We also ordered Thai tea slushes, which was ok, but very icy near the bottom like what happens when you drink most slushes. If we knew there was Thai tea ice cream at the end we probably would have just waited for that instead. The cuts of meat were just okay, but the dipping sauces were delicious! We also loved the coconut soup that they place in the ring around the bbq although it is a bit challenging to cook things in there and scoop out the soup since it's so narrow. Another issue we had was that the ventilation wasn't sucking up the oil and smoke very well, so half our table had very oily clothes and skin afterwards but the staff assured us they are working on the problem and it should be fixed soon. It's also very loud inside and we had to shout to people sitting directly across from us. But overall would go again! Maybe after the ventilation issue is resolved

A surprisingly delicious experience. Most people will be familiar with with bbq joints and cooking your food on a hot plate. However it was my first time with a soup ring around the grill. I thought I would be turned off by the occasional juices dripping into the soup but it seemed to just enrich the experience. The cuts of meat were good and it was a solid experience. You also get to customize your soup and sauce. For the sauces you always get a trio and can choose from a spicy or sweet set. Both are delicious. The variety of things to put in the soup like noodles, veggies, mushrooms, etc were just great. With a party the towers were mostly enough for everyone but maybe a bit light if you're a big eater. Service was quick, kind, and helpful. Overall a really get experience. Definitely one to try at least once if not a few times. You definitely should go with friends as the variety will be better and it's more fun this way. Lots of ways to customize your meal to make it just right for you.

Came on Friday night after 9pm without reservation for 2 people, and half the restaurant is already seated. There are different set meal or you can do a la carte, but the garlic fried rice is very good and should try. Service was great, they will ask if this is your first time and explain everything. They are also very attentive. I really like their coconut base for hotpot and the idea that you can do both hotpot and BBQ are great. Overall the meat quality is decent, but if I only want BBQ then I probably want to pick another kbbq place for better quality and taste. At the end of your meal, you will get a icecream cone which I think it's Thai milk tea flavour.

Osha Mooka is a relatively new restaurant that has an ample amount of parking. There aren't many tables, but the seating is comfortable. One downside is the table space because of the way the table is set up. If you're ordering a lot of food like we did à la carte, it gets tight pretty quickly. Their premium sets probably help with this since everything comes stacked in trays and it would be nice if they stacked ala cart orders too We ordered à la carte so we could try specific items. For apps, the cartilage chicken was yummy albeit small and the papaya fritter was good but didn't seem worth it for the price because it felt like we were just eating a lot of fried dough - most pieces were white, and then there were a few orange ones (sauce was good though). They also provide refillable pickled vegetables for the table, which helps cleanse your palate between bites. There are five different sauces and each person can choose three. They let you sample them first, which I liked - all of them were good and it really comes down to preference. The cuts of meat were decent overall, and the scallops were a nice big size but it takes longer to cook. The udon was decent but the portion felt small for the price. Same with the garlic fried rice, it tasted good (could use more garlic) but is more of a sharing portion for two. The veggie platter could have had a better variety with more greens, and it was a bit awkward trying to fit the vermicelli into the soup moat. They refill the soup, and although Tom Yum wasn't available, the coconut soup was good and was recommended by our server. We also tried the watermelon, pineapple, and milk Thai tea slushies, and the table liked the milk tea one the most. The staff also do a great job explaining the menu for newcomers. The biggest area for improvement is the ventilation. The hood above our table didn't seem to be working well, so smoke from both our grill and the table next to us kept blasting towards us. It made the experience less comfortable and we left smelling strongly like the grill. Service was pretty slow at times, especially for the sauces, and plates weren't cleared quickly enough. With the smaller table space, it felt very cramped. Service from William was exceptional and made the experience better. Overall, we still enjoyed the first time experience with this new style of Thai BBQ and hotpot. There's no cash discount, but they do offer a free milk Thai tea ice cream if you leave a Google review. Seating is limited to 2 hours.

We got the meat me tonight combo for 2 people for $69.95. The quality of meat was decent, however I don't get the wait time for it to come out because it took forever. It was probably about 20 mins for the platter to come out which I don't get because it's just raw meat and we cook it ourselves. It's a decent concept because you hotpot and bbq at the same time. Service was friendly however, I often couldn't find a server to refill our waters or get the bill.

I came here during Korealicious to try traditional Korean soy-marinated crab and shrimp…read more The complimentary side dishes were great. My favorites were the sweet soy-braised tofu skin, japchae, and spicy cucumber salad. The hot barley tea also paired really well with the marinated seafood. Marinated Crab The platter comes with six half pieces of soy-marinated crab and six half pieces of spicy marinated crab. The soy-marinated crab tasted very traditional, with a strong sweet soy sauce flavor. Compared with another Michelin pop-up restaurant I tried before, this version was much richer and saltier. The blue crab meat had a soft, jelly-like texture from the curing process, which was impressive. However, the soy sauce became quite dominant after a few pieces, so I highly recommend pairing it with the beef tendon soup or barley tea to balance the flavors. The spicy crab, however, wasn't my favorite. Instead of the sweet, savory heat that I usually associate with Korean gochujang, it leaned more toward the direct heat of Korean chili flakes, similar to the spice level in tteokbokki. I felt the spiciness overwhelmed the natural sweetness of the crab rather than enhancing it. Marinated Shrimp I was worried that eight shrimp wouldn't be enough, but the plate was huge. They use giant tiger prawns, each about the size of my hand, so two or three are already quite filling. Because the prawns are so large, they are only lightly cured, so the meat stays firm and springy instead of becoming soft like the Cantonese-style marinated shrimp I'm more familiar with. The sweet soy marinade penetrates the meat very well, making every bite flavorful. However, after a few shrimp, the soy sauce becomes increasingly dominant and the flavor starts to feel one-dimensional. Personally, I prefer the layered flavors of Cantonese-style marinated seafood, where the freshness of the seafood is complemented by ginger, garlic, cooking wine, and fish sauce. Beef Tendon Soup This ended up being my favorite dish of the meal. The broth was rich with beef flavor and had a wonderful silky texture from the collagen released by the tendon. It paired perfectly with the marinated seafood. A sip of the soup cleansed the palate from the strong soy sauce, making the next bite of crab or shrimp taste fresh again. The tendon itself was tender and well-cooked. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the mustard soy dipping sauce served on the side. Overall, this meal felt more like experiencing two very different marinated seafood traditions. Korean-style marinated seafood emphasizes the deep savory flavor developed through soy sauce curing, while Cantonese-style marinated seafood highlights the natural sweetness of the seafood with layers of ginger, garlic, cooking wine, and fresh aromatics. Even though I personally still prefer the Cantonese style, I enjoyed experiencing this traditional Korean approach.
