Clearly I wasn't the only one, the place was packed and I waited ~25 min for a table, which was well managed with a buzzer system. The staff were polite and efficient, clearly serving multiple guests as fast as possible, but it didn't affect how attentive they were. On recommendation I ordered the pork burrito with green chilli sauce, with some guac and chips to start. Enormous, but delicious! Would highly recommend to anyone visiting. I saw the good reviews and was excited. Showed up and saw the menu that was half Mexican and half American food and felt a little nervous. Then I looked around at what everybody else was being served and got really excited. Very large portions of fantastically well executed food - I kind of hurt myself eating too much. Service was the best we've had on a two week trip and certainly worth a repeat! My only complaint is that I was too full to sample more of the menu. Food was incredible and not what I was expecting. Love the mash up of Mexican and delicious burgers. I try to eat pretty healthy and even their black bean burger and impossible burgers were impressive! I got the homemade black bean burger and it was INCREDIBLE. Hands down best vegan burger I've ever had. The mayo was also amazing. I got it with no cheese and added avocado. Call me crazy but I ate there twice in one day. Went for breakfast, boyfriend and I split the chili verde burrito and the hikers granola. Plenty of tender pork in the burrito! Not really a granola person but dang this bowl was really good. I kept going back to it. After riding bikes thru the canyon (rented from buzz bikes right in front of restaurant) we returned them and I really wanted a burger, so went back to Oscars and boyfriend and I again split the Murder Burger and the Full rack of ribs. I ate the most tender ribs ever! I literally just used a fork to eat it. Sweet potatoes fries were perfect. I was so full that I took my half of the burger to go. After checking out the Cable Mountain Lodge on my way to the airport to head home, I did a search for food options nearby by with good reviews and saw Oscars. What I typically gravitate towards are shrimp tacos and Oscars did not disappoint. I loved that I had a shrimp in each bite of my taco. I have often received tacos with three shrimp max in each small tortilla shell but Oscars provided enough to enjoy shrimp in every bite. My tacos included a salad that was okay. I think the dressing wasn't my favorite but it was a pleasant surprise to receive. My order came with rice and beans (good portion size) that were filling. I washed it all down with a margarita. There are so many reviews of this place so I'll try to keep it brief and straight to the point. Passing through, going back to Cali from Bryce Canyon. We sat outside , it's February so it was slow which we loved. Have a nice backdrop sitting outside. Service was good, food reasonably priced especially for the location and compared to other places especially form the portions you got. We got the veggie quesadilla and wet burrito and side of fries. Wasn't able to finish it all. But everything hit the spot and we left completely satisfied. And the backdrop from sitting outside was pristine. Not to mention the location had some stores that were still open even though it's slow season so got to walk it off and it was just a peaceful time to go. This is definitely a safe bet and the many reviews show why. I'm sure there are plenty of other places but it's got a lot of a good reviews for a reason and we saw why. Stopped by Oscar's Cafe on a Thursday around 11:30am and there were a few other people dining. I found it odd that they wouldn't serve lunch to my son and I, but oh well. We ordered off the breakfast menu. He got the pork verde breakfast burrito and I ordered the Belgian waffles with scrambled eggs and sausage. The pork verde was pretty good. Meat was a little dry, but in combination with the sauce and other ingredients, it wasn't too bad. The potatoes were nice and hot, and we both enjoyed the cheese bed underneath. The plate was super scorching hot though, and I'm glad we were told that so my son didn't burn himself. The waffles were great - crispy, yet fluffy. Sausages were way too salty. Eggs were alright - also fluffy. I did feel like we were really rushed though. Service was pretty scarce to begin with, but presenting me with the check 5min after bringing out the food, when my son had barely had a bite and I was still working on my food seemed a bit pushy. Cute restaurant known for their fantastic burgers! We enjoyed sitting in the outside seating with the mist sprayers, which kept us cool and refreshed. The pictures don't do it justice, but the burgers are huge!!! My avocado chip burger came with a generous amount of avocado and the corn chips added a great crunch to each bite. We had breakfast here. I'm eating the green-chili horseshoe and my husband got the hiker's breakfast granola with a side of bacon and coffee. It was nothing short of amazing. Some of the best guacamole I've ever had. The pork was so tender and beautifully spiced. Shockingly **not*** over-salted! My husband says his hiker's breakfast was so good he didn't need the milk, but the milk made it better. And what can I say about the server? Service was second-to-none. Typically, making sure I have enough water is a worry for me so I make sure to ask for more before I need it. Vance brought me a beer stein " hanker tanker" of ice water which made me a satisfied customer! His recommendations are excellent, too. We love breakfast. This was incredibly satisfying. Let's start with Oscar's Pork Chile Verde Tamales. They are crazy delicious. Let's brag on our server, Rhys, who has spent time on the line and knows the menu and is a genuine wonderful human. Oscar's is worth the wait if you show up at six pm like we did. It's a fun place. We called it our club and went back for dinner again and then breakfast on our last day. We were always pleased with the meals, and we're picky foodies. Can we talk about their ridiculous carrot cake? We were too full to eat it on site, so we to-goed it. We nuked it in the micro back at the van and mmm'ed and ahh'ed our way through the waterfall of melting down the side frosting. Now I love a good carrot cake and theirs made it into my top five. If you've read any of my other reviews, I try most people's Huevos Rancheros unless I see catsup instead of Cholula on the table. They had the requisite bottle of Cholula, so I went for it. It was wonderful, and topped by fresh guacamole. I'd order that again. If you're still reading, I'll mention that the table next to us at our first dinner was being awful to our server, Rhys (who was unfailingly polite), then turned their miserable mood on us and gossiped about how awful we were. I guess bicycle togs and lifestyle choices didn't have a place in their small, toxic hearts. (Yeah, what do I really think, right?) This place was surprisingly good. I got the murder burger and it was amazing. The fries that came with the burger was were crispy and good. My friend got the shrimp tacos (so good, decently spicy) with a side salad. The side salad seemed so basic but it was actually really good! The woman (young, brunette, skinny, pale) who delivered the food to our table was so nice, funny, and energetic. I think her name was Abby or Ally?? 1st Morning in Springdale and this place was recommended for breakfast. Everything was fantastic! My husband had the French toast, daughter had the multigrain buttermilk pancakes, son had a bowl of fresh fruit, and I had huevos rancheros! Big plates without a big pricetag!
