I paid for the Freon gas that had a fluorescent dye in case it leaks the next day. The next day my refrigerant was empty again and I took it back and they found the leak behind my dashboard. Which meant the whole dashboard needed to be taken off to replace the AC evaporator. They gave me their bid and a turnaround time of about a week since they wanted to make sure the job was done correctly. On top of that they found that my brake pads needed to be replaced which i let them replace. Overall I didn't go with them for the ac evaporator job since I found another shop that was cheaper and gave me a faster turn around time, however I felt that they were honest and genuinely tried to help me. Nothing bad to say about this shop.

I had an excellent experience with Alexander Auto Service while diagnosing a persistent misfire on…read moremy 2016 Mercedes-Benz Metris. I had previously taken the van to the dealership, where the spark plugs and ignition coils were replaced, but the misfire was still not resolved. Alexander performed a thorough diagnostic and correctly determined that the fuel injectors were causing the problem. He replaced the injectors and used dealer-level Mercedes diagnostic equipment to properly code and program them to the vehicle. We also discovered significant carbon buildup on the intake valves, which is common on direct-injection engines. Alexander had the proper walnut-blasting equipment and performed an intake-valve carbon cleaning. I was very impressed with his knowledge of Mercedes vehicles, advanced computer diagnostics, fuel-injector programming, and direct-injection systems. His diagnosis was accurate and his work was professional. The shop also provides general auto repair, tires, wheel alignments, transmission repair, and other automotive services. I highly recommend Alexander Auto Service to anyone looking for an honest and knowledgeable mechanic, especially for difficult diagnostic problems that other repair shops or dealerships have been unable to solve. I'm very pleased with the work and would definitely bring my vehicle back.

I took time out of my day to bring my car in, only to be told they were too busy and couldn't work on it until next week. A younger technician who appeared to be in training was working on my tire, and both the owner and another technician had to step in to help complete the job. After the repair, I later discovered damage near the tire bead in the area where the tire had been removed and reinstalled. Since the damage wasn't something I had noticed before the repair, I returned to the shop to raise my concerns. During my first visit back, the owner told me he would look into it and get back to me. He never did. We tried calling multiple times but couldn't reach anyone, so we had to make a second trip to the shop. At that point, the owner told us there was nothing he could do and said he couldn't tell whether the damage happened at his shop or afterward. What frustrated me most wasn't just the damage itself, but how the situation was handled. I expected better communication and some effort to resolve a legitimate customer concern. Instead, I had to return twice, received no follow up, and ultimately left feeling dismissed. Based on my experience, I won't be returning.
