Came back for repeat business was told starter needed to be replaced. It was a new starter problem was it would start when it wanted. They wanted to replace with a dealer part I needed car back I agreed even though replacement starter was under warranty. They rushed me. I picked up old starter and nut was loose I asked mechanic if he saw that or tested it he said he smelled it. I asked did he test it he said no and walked away saying he smelled it again. I tighted nut and took back to O'Reilly's and it was good. Smh read more

WARNING, DO NOT LET THESE PEOPLE WORK ON YOUR VEHICLES!! I took my 2017 Ford F-150 and had $4000 of work done to my truck (lifters, oil change, spark plugs, timing chain,etc...). After picking my truck, literally the next day, I called them and explained to them that my truck was smoking. Their mechanic told me to keep driving my truck that it was excessive oil residue that needed to get burned off. I drove the truck to work and if you look at the pictures, my truck caught on fire. Their own insurance company just determined that they were at fault and they still do not want to refund my money so I not only do I have my truck I'm out on my $4000!! Terrible business, stay away from this place!!! read more

My sister took her car (2015 Honda Civic) with air conditioning issues and was given a quote of $995 to fix it, without even evaluating the vehicle- OUTRAGEOUS!! How are you going to quote almost $1000 for something that could be as easy as a recharge? BE CAUTIOUS WITH THIS PLACE!! EDIT: to shop manager's response- please get your facts straight before making your potential customers look like broke people that can't afford to pay for their car repairs- my sister was at your facility for roughly 10 minutes tops, please check your cameras, in this time your technician came back and gave her the quote of $995 and told her the AC compressor had failed, never mentioned anything about a leaking condenser, nor gave her the option to do a refrigerant recharge to get her back on the road. I am a technician and find it hard to believe that someone would diagnose a car in less than 10 minutes, but I suppose it is possible; my sister texted me and told me what she was being quoted and I told her to leave and I would go with her to get a second opinion somewhere else. Also, my sister told the technician that she was aware of the diagnostic fee that would be owed, and asked how much it would be, the technician said not to worry about it, she was not at any time reluctant to pay for it since I told her it is a very common practice for shops to charge a diagnostic fee. My sister & I were traveling in my Ford Escape from ID to CA to pick up my brother from a post acute & rehabilitation place and drive him to his new SNF in ID. My air conditioning was not working. Nancy replied to my yelp request for service & told me to visit them & they would look at it. When I arrived & they looked at my AC she told me that I would need to come back a little later & they would repair it. Well, I couldn't come back, I needed it repaired before my scheduled appointment to pick up my disabled brother. I began to walk away & she said to her ld on a minute. Nancy explained to the mechanic what my situation was & he rearranged some of their other work to get my car repaired now. My sister & I enjoyed waiting in her office while her Father, the mechanic repaired my AC. We socialized, laughed, ate our snacks & simple my had a nice time. Beautiful people! Solves: They paid for my scratch wheel. I took my one week old 20in wheels to get thicker tires on my wheels. When it was finished I pick it up. I had an oil change here on Tues Nov. 5th, 2024. The man told me that both my front and back breaks were at 20% and needed to be replaced ($250 each) so of course I was confused when I took my car to another mechanic this morning and he actually brought me in the shop to show me that my back breaks were practically brand new. I have a photo. I was frustrated because as a single young woman, this isn't the first time a mechanic has lied to me to get more money out of me. Not cool guys. I'm not dumb. Tried to charge me 800$ to replace my motor mounts when they just replaced my engine a few months earlier? . I wonder why they wouldn't have mentioned that back when you replaced my engine and charged me for other parts I probably diddnt even need. Even installing a faulty ac compressor wich messed up my belt yet still want to charge me 500$. Lastly installed a power steering pumpnwich is now leaking months later. I had a great experience with this shop when I had to take my car in to get it inspected for a check engine light. I didn't quite get the name of the lady working at the front desk, but she was very helpful in explaining their process as well as keeping me updated on how long it would take as well as the cost of parts and repairs. I let them know I needed the car same day and they really made an effort to prioritize me and have the car returned shortly. The whole experience there from dropping off my car, to having it diagnosed, to replacing some parts all took less then 3 hours and I was happily back to driving my car with no issues. To start this review, I'll state that I called a handful of places to quote catalytic converter installations. I received different prices from 5 different shops before I decided to go with Alexander Auto Service. They checked out all 3 catalytic converters before giving me a final quote and realized that they could charge me a lot less on one because of the ease of access and installation, which tells me that they're honest to their work. They also were able to list a couple of other possible critical parts to replace without trying to upsell me or force me to install them that same day. Lo and behold, the first place to reach out to me was Alexander Auto Service. I reached out and spoke with Mauricio. He was helpful and upfront about the price of new tires and labor. Although I did not have an appointment, Mauricio was able to put me down for the day and get me sorted out before they closed. Mind you, I had dropped the car off by 1030am, and did not pick it up till 4, but Mauricio was warning me ahead of time for the wait and I didn't want to rush the work.
