So I got a quote from this place and was doing everything via text. Let me tell you guys about the…read moresmooth experience I have and how attentive their employees were. I believe his name was Lozano( sorry if I got it wrong) and Anthony. They fixed my car no issues and had it up and running in no time. They were very professional and even washed by vehicle prior to me picking it up. I highly recommend them and they are extremely affordable. Don't hesitate to give them your vehicle. Best part. No check engine light lol. The warranty they offered is just a plus!

I've waited a long time to write this review just to be sure that I actually know what I'm talking…read moreabout. My car had a check engine light for a bad sensor. I replaced it and it persisted so I bring it here. They took a look at it and let me know my car needed a valve cover replacement, new spark plugs, and to replace the sensor I had just replaced. There might have been more but this was almost a year ago so I don't exactly remember everything we did. Fine, I trust them because this place has been highly reviewed and it seemed very professional. So I spent about $1500 on repairs. Maybe a week later the same code comes on so I'm confused. I take it back to them and it takes days for them to get to the car because their "diagnostic tech" is really busy. Fine. So they call me and tell me that the code I'm getting is because my timing chain is fucked and it's going to cost $4500 to fix it... Which I don't have. So I sit on it for a few days while I see if I can come up with the money or what I'm going to do, before they threaten to charge me a storage fee for having my car with them. Fine, I understand they don't have all the space in the world. So I get to the shop pay their $150 diagnostic fee and try to take the car. The battery is dead. They gave me a jump and I drove home but there was no check engine light. I found it weird and thought it was a fluke. Long story short I replaced the battery, battery cable, oil, alternator and the car is just fine. I've been driving it for almost 8 months. I put in maybe $500 in parts. While I am trying to figure out what the problem is I message them and ask if they charged the battery, or if the battery died on them at all. No answer despite multiple messages. And this is what bothers me you have no problem messaging me multiple times to threaten me with fees but can't respond to one simple message. My point is this shop is shady. They wanted to upsell me on expensive repairs I didn't need. Now I'm not even sure if I truly needed those $1500 in repairs the first time. How do I know it was an upsell? The guy who gave me my car back said, "we just go based on what the scanner says." And that's when I knew this shop sucked. Why would I be charged a ridiculous $150 fee for you to scan my car? Personally that doesn't seem like diagnostic work (at least a proper one). I feel like some of the things I discovered on my own an experienced mechanic would have found. The car had an electrical problem. In between those two visits I took another car to them to see if they could do a transmission drain and fill. I put that in the appointment request and I made the appointment days in advance. When I get there they say they can't work on the car because it has a lot of miles on it, which again is fine but why are you making me waste my time and bring my car to you if you aren't going to work on it. Do you not have someone who checks the following days' appointments? Why does your website allow me to make the appointment if it doesn't meet your shops criteria. All in all I say stay away and find a place with honest mechanics.

I was in distraught because this is the second time. My boyfriend and I were about to take my car to another shop in Whittier a little further down Whittier blvd but came across this place first. I figure why not, let's ask them if they have a part available. By the grace of god, they had one converter in stock. Sherif let us know whether we wanted to pay up front and deal with the insurance later or go through the insurance first and risk the possibility of the converter no longer being available. We decided to pay up front and get it fixed right away. It's LA, we need a car to get around. Service was great. Sherif kind of reminds me of Larry David which I'm a fan of haha. He was very up front about prices and how long it would take, etc. which we appreciated. We probably dropped my car off around 9am and picked it up around 8pm. Dealt with my insurance during the time being. This shop is incredibly busy and I can see why! They even put on the front half of converter protector shield and I didn't care what the price was. I just don't want thieves trying to steal my stuff again. He provided us all the paperwork at the end to give to my insurance. I get the feel that this is a locals spot. Every customer was so nice in there. 10/10 recommend if you need any car assistance.

A younger technician who appeared to be in training was working on my tire, and both the owner and another technician had to step in to help complete the job. After the repair, I later discovered damage near the tire bead in the area where the tire had been removed and reinstalled. Since the damage wasn't something I had noticed before the repair, I returned to the shop to raise my concerns. During my first visit back, the owner told me he would look into it and get back to me. He never did. We tried calling multiple times but couldn't reach anyone, so we had to make a second trip to the shop. At that point, the owner told us there was nothing he could do and said he couldn't tell whether the damage happened at his shop or afterward. What frustrated me most wasn't just the damage itself, but how the situation was handled. I expected better communication and some effort to resolve a legitimate customer concern. Instead, I had to return twice, received no follow up, and ultimately left feeling dismissed. Based on my experience, I won't be returning.

I reached out to Refined Auto with the same request, and it was a more reasonable price, especially since I had no idea if I needed to do anything to my rotors. My dad was present while Cesar worked on my car, and my dad gave me such a glowing review of how Cesar worked. My dad has not been able to stop talking about how Cesar did an amazing job on my car, how clean he works, how he keeps his tools, and his communication. My dad was so impressed with the quality of work Cesar provided on my car that he decided to get a quote for replacing his rotors. When Ceasr finished on my car, he let me know that my brake fluid was not in good condition. He drained my brake fluid and replaced it with new fluid. He explained to me in detail that brake fluid should not be topped off. I had no idea, and apparently, my dad didn't know either, and we had topped it off because it was low. Now, I know, for future reference, that when it's low, I should replace my brakes. I appreciate the work that Cesar did on my car and his communication. I will absolutely use his service again and recommend him to friends and family.
