Customers be aware! Super Over priced. Went here last week after changing my own brake pads on my lexus rx and accidentally triggered a parking brake malfunction light. It was a 5 minute job which requires a auto shop level scan tool but they insisted on checking the brake and test driving it and spent 15min on the job. There were no other shop that was open since it was day after thanksgiving and the owner took advantage of the situation and wanted to charge 120 dollars for a simple scan tool reset. Had I known that it was gonna be so expensive, I would've waited for Saturday and used a scan tool from HF and returned it. So yeah, can't even imagine how much they're gonna over charge on customers who doesn't have knowledge in working on cars seeing what they charged on someone that works on cars. read more

I have been going to this shop for well over 20 years. All I own are Toyota's. I've had Corollas, Camry's and 4 Runners. It is extremely difficult to find a mechanic that will take the time to explain, in detail, and show you the parts. It's much more difficult being a female to find a mechanic that is trustworthy and honors his work. I find this family run shop to be the best shop in town by far to any other Toyota repairs shop. In comparison to the prices at the dealerships, they a reasonably priced and have always made me feel comfortable with their work. they are professional, trustworthy and hold a high standard of ethical business practice. I currently have a 2003 4 runner that I've owned since it was brand new and I can be a testament to everyone that my SUV runs great. Recently had my 4Runner (213,000 miles) worked on. I baby my truck and would rather work on it myself, however, some things are best left in the hands of professionals. Because my truck needed major top end work, water pump, timing belt, gaskets..etc, I wanted a shop that was very familiar with Toyotas. One thing that concerned me among others was getting a shoddy job (missing screws, misplaced vacuum hoses, dangling wires). I was not disappointed! Guys did a quality job. I took my 2004 Camry in a week ago for some transmission troubles and to get a general check up on it since I don't have very much expertise in cars. I don't understand how this place has a bad review because the guys here and the service they provide are top notch! They told me they had solved the transmission issue I had and explained that my break pads were worn out and ready to be replaced. I told them to go for it and my car runs perfect now and i can feel the difference when driving. I don't believe i was overcharged at all and i'm definitely a happy customer. Mechanic that worked on my car couldn't tell my car's alignment was off and he lied to me. I took him 8 hrs to fix the ball joints and Once he was done "repairing " them ...I left thinking my car was fixed...but to my surprise as i was driving out of the location...My car felt stiff and it was making a thumping noise...i immediately, took it back to have it checked. The mechanic took it for a test drive and when he back, he had the "nerve" to tell me...he did not feel or hear anything wrong. When i left again...I could still feel and hear something wrong with my car. I returned the next day to see if a different mechanic could check it again. Another mechanic did and told me the alignment was off and that it probably happened when they repair ball joints....He also, told me that the alignment was not included when they repaired the ball joints and he was not going to fix the alignment. I told him i did not have a problem paying for the alignment... if the previous mechanic would have told that needed to be repaired, I would have paid for it. I told him I was very upset that the other mechanic misinformed me and lied to me. Soon after that .... i started having other problems with my car...I will never know it that mechanic had anything to do with that ...?????. :( read more

I had an issue with my main fuse box and all it needed to be was replaced. After leaving the car there for 2 days they tried to tell me my fuse box issue caused my throttle body to "burn" out and it would cost me over $1,300 to fix it. I began calling around to the Lexus dealer asking the master mechanic if it is even possible for the throttle body to "burn" out due to a fuse box issue and they said in over 20 years of working at the Lexus dealer that has NEVER happened. So I decided to just show up at the shop and to my surprise my car was running fine and they had just solved the issue a couple of minutes before I got there. It seemed like they where trying to guess and add that things where wrong with my car. The main guy running the place seems cool but the way they went about trying to get extra money out of me just wasn't ethical. I wouldn't recommend going here try ANY other place. read more

Being a woman its hard to find a mechanic who will be honest. My dad was a mechanic, so I know a little bit about cars. My experience was okay. I had a couple of oil changes done, transmission oil changes, and tire rotation. The last time I went they told me that I was going to need new brakes. I told them I'll get them done later. I had another mechanic look at them and they told me they were 70% good. Basically they were still like new. I recommend that if a place tells you that your car needs something done, don't get it done right away. Always get a second opinion just to double check. read more

I worked the graveyard shift last night and once I got off, I dropped off my car at Pro Auto this morning to get a diagnosis. I dropped it off at 8:50AM with Frank and decided to walk across the street to Taco Bell to wait since I didn't have transportation to get all the way back home. 3 1/2 hours later (while feeling exhausted from working the night before), I walk back across the street to Pro Auto since I hadn't received a call yet. When I walked up, I noticed that my car was still outside, not even moved yet. I walk up to the car and noticed that the keys were still in the ignition and the windows rolled down. I then walk inside and see Frank and his workers watching World Cup Soccer!! I was dumbfounded when I saw this! Someone could have stolen my car since it was parked outside, windows down and key in the ignition! Frank and his crew didn't even take the time to even look at my car! I told Frank I was leaving. And he had the nerve to ask me, "Why?" This is a very unprofessional place of business. I will NEVER take my car to this place again!!!! Poor customer service! read more

1st time customer here , Toyota owner all my life . Anyways i took my wifes Toyota Venza here saturday am , and i am extremely happy with their service . I was greeted by Ralph the manager that day and explained him whats wrong with the car . I was told they have to diagnosed the car and will cost about $75 , which is pretty normal charge to newer cars at any shops you go . 20 mins after i was told about the problem and discussed how much it will cost . What they didnt know i already went to Toyota Of Whittier and was aware whats wrong with the car . As my 1st time there i was shocked because they quoted me half of the dealers charge . I was a little hesitant but sometimes in life you have to go with your instincts because when i was talking to the manager he is fully knowledgeable of the problem and that made me believe .
