Took my vehicle in for service and received it back with scratches and a door ding. They completely denied all damages so I figured oh well what can I do? Worst thing was when they started going down a list of recommended services. One which was brakes all around with a price quote of $600 dollars. What was very strange was that my local Honda dealer had just serviced my brakes so I reach into my glove box and rendered the proof of work. I literally saw the owners face go from red to pale at which point I knew he was dishonest and a scam artist looking to take advantage of people. He immediately went into the hiding pretending like he was calling someone and then came back and said it was a mistake. I call BS! And I also believe he did the damages on my door. Update: recently Jorge & Manny did some extensive work to our 2011 Buick. They found oil leaking onto 3 of the 6 spark plugs. Repaired. Replaced coil, valve cover & more. Idle has dropped by 200 rpm. Gas mileage has increased from 16.5 to 17.5. Recently drove daughters back to college (GCU/Davis). Buick averaged 19.3 mpg!! Unheard of! These ARE the guys for your car/truck!! read more

They replaced my Water Pump on my explorer. My water pump began to leak. Come to find out that the water pump was no good. They replaced my water pump and suggested not to drive it too much because the water pump on these explorers are no good, specially since an engineer thought it was a great idea to put a water pump inside the engine. Other places I went to were charging too much for labor. These guys were reasonable. You need a good work on your car for a reasonable price come to these guys. read more

The vibe: Definitely a family business, they're kind, honest, to the point, but always treat you well. This time I came in because my 2011 Kia Forte was making noises and shaking upon acceleration (Scary), it has 300,000 miles. When I arrived I spoke to Oscar and he attended me right away. Next we went on a test drive so he could feel what was described. When we got back he started troubleshooting and pinpointed the problem after a few minutes. I decided to leave the car there to get the work done and I must say once again they did an amazing job, my car feels as good as new. Bad practice, bad attitude, disgusting blame on the customer Oscar and his Father Rene (The Owner) worked on my Audi A4 trusted them with my keys to change thermostat housing and hosing and another part to my car come to see that another mechanic took a look at the job called it poor and bad since my car is still leaking! They even cracked my windshield and wanted to make me pay for it ! I highly recommend Uptown Garage! Our car started having issues and I Initially took it to a different shop, they informed me that I would need a new transmission and it would be $1700.00. I decided I would get a second opinion and took it to Uptown Garage and I do not regret my decision! They guys at Uptown had the time and patience to look further into the car and informed me that it was just a simple seal that was broken in the transmission and it was not an expense fix. It was such a relief to know that it was a simple fix that would not cost me me a new transmission.
