I came here a few weeks ago because my car had some trouble idling. I know how shady mechanics can be and I never trust anything they say. I left the car on a Thursday and the next day he diagnosed the problem. He had had to keep it there overnight because it wasn't having the idling problems during the day (since the car was warm). They narrowed it down to the Intake manifold and quoted me a very reasonable price (Checked with a trusted source and confirmed the price was cheap for the work being done), The car has been running great since, no more idling problems. Before this trip, I had spent $600+ for a mechanic to do a tune up, change this and that and he didn't locate the problem.! I was changing batteries myself one day and while swapping, I broke one of the connectors. It was very damaged and rusty. I took my car over to them and they replaced it for $10 including labor! Not freindly at all. I got an estimate to replace catalytic converter due to my car failed smog test. .. i thout it was rather high so i teplaced it myself. When i took it back to retest . They refused to re-test and gave me some garbage about that my new coverter i installed didnt match my engines "family#". I took my vehicle to another shop and they tested it and passed with flying colors.. I dont understand why they treated me this way. I will never go their again and advise the community to stay away. read more

I came here to see what was wrong with my car because it was making a bad noise when I drove on the freeway. I had been driving my car around in this condition for about 2 months or more (bad I know) but it never gave up on me. And for very long distances, like 2 hour drives. They told me my radiator had a leak and that my right tire bearing was what was making the loud noise. I didn't have the money at the moment so I decided to take my car home for the meantime. On my way home my check engine light went on then minutes later the oil and battery light wine on as well. Then my car stopped on me in the middle of the road :( I'm convinced that they made the leak in my radiator worse so that it'd break down and I'd have to get it fixed as soon as possible. I say this because after they checked it out it was leaking a lot! And i had never seen my car leak so much before. I ended up towing my car to another shop (RCG on Whittier about 3 miles away from this one) that I normally go to and they charged me 50$ less. Not a lot but it's something. It's possible that I had this bad experience because I'm a young woman and they thought I'd blindly agree to their offer because I don't know about cars. I'm just upset that they made my car worse and forced me to get it fixed when I was struggling financially. I won't come here again. read more
