Quick, easy, reasonably priced. Pull in, hand over keys and registration card, smog check takes about 10 minutes. $35 which is fair. If you don't have a current registration, they can pull your info from an old one, guy was chill. Didn't catch his name, but presumably Tony, is cool. Got me all taken care of within 15 minutes or so. Would recommend and would use again. Thanks for the help! read more

Sent my son in to get a smog check on his car utilizing the coupon, was told that the coupon was invalid and wasn't for the star certified smog. Was charged $73 insted. Will not be returning Edit: as you can see below they have a great attitude about customer service. They saw my son was a minor on his license, learning for his first time how to get a smog check and could not give him the courtesy of honoring the coupon read more

Came in today 10 min wait, the guy was awesome , paid only $35 cash for my smog. I Come here every year. read more

I came in for a routine smog check for my wife's car. I didn't have a coupon, appointment, and just came in on my own terms. I was welcomed in and even with a car ahead of me, I was in and out within 25 minutes. Super efficient and straight forward. With the smog check and card fee, my total came out to $70. I would go here again! read more

Advertised ~$25+ cert online, but that's for cars only (fine print on the coupon that I overlooked). ~$60 for SUV when paying by cash. Paying by card is ~75. Tony is very nice and super efficient. Tony's Smog Check - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Whittier, California

Very misleading coupon. Online coupon states one price for smog, arrived and got a guy with an attitude who tells me the coupon is invalid because it was for a 'regular' smog and not for a Star smog station test. Got undeserved criticism for my aftermarket catalytic converter (original got stolen but replacement is FULL CARB compliant) and failed the test (my fault - not due to the catalytic converter) I paid sixty dollars for my Yelp one star experience at Tony's Smog and was told a retest is twenty five dollars additional. Lesson learned. I'd rather pay for a new smog test (and I did) to smog my car elsewhere, anywhere else, rather than to go back to Tony's Smog. Note to self for next time: find a smog test station, confirm test type, confirm price, get name of technician AND ask about retest fee (some shops have "pass or free retest within xx days"). read more

great service fast and efficient took both my cars here got each one done in 10 mins!! just moved into town happy to find a good place close to home. if you need smog come here for quick easy service 100 worth it! read more

Have been coming here for my smog check ever since I moved to whittier. Very straightforward and fast service at a decent price point.

This place feels like it survives by advertising cheap coupon prices and then making up the difference once you show up. The extra charge for SUVs is ridiculous, especially when it's the same test and same state fee. Nothing about it felt honest. The owner was rude, easily irritated, and acted like basic customer questions were some kind of personal attack. If you want to be treated like an inconvenience while paying more than expected, this is the place for you. There are too many decent smog shops around town to waste your time here. Bad attitude, misleading pricing, and zero professionalism. Hard pass. read more

The coupon for $26.75 is misleading. Because the smoke check required STAR station, I need to pay extra $20. Total is $46.75 + certificate. Very disappointed. My mistake NOT to read the reviews at Yelp. read more

Pricey I went here because there was no wait and in the past he has charged me way less. My fault for not getting the price beforehand assuming he would charge me what he has in the past. Paid 73 out the door but in the past I've only paid 40 or 45 lol. Probably won't be coming back for any of my cars due to the fluctuating prices. read more

I was in the area and decided to come in for Smog Test. I am extremely satisfied with the service here. I noticed the positive reviews and they definitely deserve them. I was in and out of there, the shop was clean, and everybody there was very respectful as well as professional. The price I paid for the smog was reasonable and I have no complaints. Tony's Smog Check - His coupon is a lie. He makes up costs instead. He is a rude, disrespectful and has a fragile ego. Never go there! - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Whittier, California

Fast and efficient smog check service. I found a coupon on their website, which was a nice bonus. Cash only.

Tony's is a straight rip off. They do not honor their coupon's and engage in angry arguments when you call them out on their false advertising. Do not use this place. read more

I went to this business to get a smog check for my car and had an incredibly frustrating experience. I called ahead, confirmed the price, and headed over. The place was completely empty--no customers, just me and my car. I handed the technician my registration and even moved my car into the garage for him because he didn't know how to shift it. After signing the paperwork and agreeing to the fee, he started the process but came back a few minutes later to say he couldn't complete the smog check. His reasoning kept changing: first, he claimed I had the wrong catalytic converter, then said he couldn't read the part number, and finally, that he couldn't find the number at all. Which is it? These are three completely different excuses. I explained that the catalytic converter was purchased from a well-known, state-compliant company and double-checked by my mechanic during installation. I even offered to show him the receipt and call the company's customer service to help locate the etched part number he needed. Despite all this, he refused to look at my purchase order, call the company, or even lift the car to search for the number himself. His refusal to perform basic checks, even with my assistance and solutions, was baffling. Smog checks are a critical part of ensuring vehicles meet California compliance standards, and it's literally his job to inspect parts. Instead, he wasted my time with excuses and a complete lack of effort. This technician seemed inexperienced, unprofessional, and unwilling to do what's necessary to complete the service. If he doesn't know how to inspect parts, he shouldn't be running a smog check business. I do not recommend this place to anyone who values their time or wants a professional experience. I ended up going up the road to a place called Uptown Garage at 12604 Philadelphia st and they were amazing, I only waited a few minutes. I was in and out quickly without any hassle. I didn't even have to show them where to find the part number they knew what they were doing and they were fantastic! 5 starts for them! read more

Drove up and the owner asked what I needed. He was very kind and helpful. Would definitely keep coming here for my smog checks.

Just a reminder not to come here and do your smog check here. For most who do its the dog and pony show coupon. Read the fine print- how he gets business here and he won't remind you until you're charged. His exact words- not his job to explain anything to you. He is entitled and smug, how do I know? He told me what I had to say didn't matter because his name was on that wall. Read that last line and ask if customer service matters to this business owner. If you have money but you're a lame it doesn't make you COOL or REAL.. You're just a LAME with money! Shop at your own risk- go anywhere else. Trust read more

I was referred to Tony's Smog Check by another shop in the community as I was required to have a Star Certified Smog Check conducted. Tony was attentive to me as I pulled into the lot and motioned for me to park. I requested a Star Certified Smog Check and shared that I was referred by another shop. He was attentive to hear what I needed and respectful during conversation. I was politely asked to wait in the waiting room which had comfortable seating, magazines to read, and Top 40 songs playing. Tony quickly and efficiently completed my requested service and did so at a a reasonable rate. Hands down the best smog check experience I've ever had! I went to Tony's Smog Check in Whittier after work because of their competitive pricing (found them on Yelp and used the coupon), and I couldn't be happier with my choice.
