I stopped by today to get a smog and let me just say Bill is amazing! While arriving to get my smog done Bill noticed a fire nearby & he let me know he'd be back & ran towards to fire to see if help was needed. I followed to see if help was needed but it wasn't anything serious. A nearby neighbor was performing a Mayan fire ceremony. Which looking how our world is today especially after finding out about Cesar Chavez us in the Latino community are finding ways to cope with these revelations. Anyways I was very impressed with Bill's instinct to go and immediately go & offer help without hesitation. We need more people like Bill, truly a great man. This is my first time getting a smog performed here but it's my second time connecting with Bill. I tend to get my oil change next door and I started talking to him and he gave me great insight on how to make homemade all natural fertilizer. The smog place I actually look forward to going to every other year, lol. Wife said her car needs a smog after checking her renewal, so I said ok give me the paper and headed straight to Speedway. Personable Bill always there and always open Saturdays making it convenient to go on a weekend. No need appointment, I've always just showed up and waited no more than 1 car ahead. A great car guy from my era, so always a pleasure to talk cars with him. Today, while he was looking in the engine bay, he pointed out the broken dogbone motor mount on top of the engine. I noticed it while working on the car since long ago, but was never sure if it was actually broken or the rubber bushing thing was just cracked on the outside since I've never replaced a mount before. Bill quickly showed me it's broken by pushing on the car couple times and I "visually" saw the bushing sliding/split open during the rocking! He knew exactly what to do in order for me to see the broken state of the mount! That's what you get from a car guy who knows cars, not just a smog guy. The top mount is the easy one to replace, so now that I've seen the broken state of it, I will get a replacement to change it out before all the engine movement breaks one of the bottom mounts. Came in to take care of the smog homework, and left happy with new homework to fix the broken mount! Don't forget the coupon, and it's $45 otd. read more

I was due for a smog check, and decided to try this place again. But before I went, I wanted to find out their prices since it might have changed from the last time I went. Anyway, whoever answered the phone was a complete ass. When I asked about their prices, he quoted me $60, which is way more than other places. I asked if he had any coupons available, since there was no way that I would pay that price when I knew other places are cheaper, even with all of his good reviews. That's when he started to get all condescending on me and saying if I see the coupon on his website, then that's the price....yada yada. After that conversation, I went somewhere else where they weren't acting like an ass and being rude.
