I came in on a Saturday afternoon to get a new tire. As soon as I drove into their parking lot, they asked what service I needed, and they started working on my car right away. This review is overdue My wife has been coming for over 10 years plus to this establishment. From tire repairs, used and new as well. A hole in the wall with a a good crew of tire specialists. Not so modern tech but still up date. Still doing tires with the old way hydraulic machines yet still balance the modern way. Patch a tire quick and prompt. Also sell new tires that are popular brand. Young and elder sharing the work and knowledge the owner is a Mexican movie star. He has his movies on DVD I recommend this establishment read more

Took my cars here a couple times. Had gone to other Salinas Tires before. The last couple times I went here the manager was great this time. The owner must've been having a bad day or something. Came off really rude from the start. Last time I ever go to the Salinas. I know they're individually owned by their family members, but this guy the son of the owner was a real jerk. Stay away from this company. This Franchise. They are run differently. The dude had no customer service skills whatsoever. read more

Terrible customer service. 562 TIRES TOOK WAY BETTER CARE IF ME !!! I called Salina's tires and asked for an alignment, they said come on in. The second I pulled in, the Alignment guy, older gentleman with glasses, shoo'd me away like I was some dog. I exited my truck to ask what was wrong and if there was anything he could do to my truck to help my alignment, even if they charged more or could give me an estimate on replacing any parts I needed. He turned his back walked away from me and proceeded to work on another customers vehicle. I understand if you're having a bad day or don't have time, but I literally was treated like some stray dog. I've always paid for their services, I've never cried about price. I've brought multiple vehicles and customers here. I appreciate they are open on the weekends as well, which really saved us on getting our car back running for the work week. I paid for the Freon gas that had a fluorescent dye in case it leaks the next day. The next day my refrigerant was empty again and I took it back and they found the leak behind my dashboard. Which meant the whole dashboard needed to be taken off to replace the AC evaporator. They gave me their bid and a turnaround time of about a week since they wanted to make sure the job was done correctly. On top of that they found that my brake pads needed to be replaced which i let them replace. Overall I didn't go with them for the ac evaporator job since I found another shop that was cheaper and gave me a faster turn around time, however I felt that they were honest and genuinely tried to help me. Nothing bad to say about this shop.

I've waited a long time to write this review just to be sure that I actually know what I'm talking…read moreabout. My car had a check engine light for a bad sensor. I replaced it and it persisted so I bring it here. They took a look at it and let me know my car needed a valve cover replacement, new spark plugs, and to replace the sensor I had just replaced. There might have been more but this was almost a year ago so I don't exactly remember everything we did. Fine, I trust them because this place has been highly reviewed and it seemed very professional. So I spent about $1500 on repairs. Maybe a week later the same code comes on so I'm confused. I take it back to them and it takes days for them to get to the car because their "diagnostic tech" is really busy. Fine. So they call me and tell me that the code I'm getting is because my timing chain is fucked and it's going to cost $4500 to fix it... Which I don't have. So I sit on it for a few days while I see if I can come up with the money or what I'm going to do, before they threaten to charge me a storage fee for having my car with them. Fine, I understand they don't have all the space in the world. So I get to the shop pay their $150 diagnostic fee and try to take the car. The battery is dead. They gave me a jump and I drove home but there was no check engine light. I found it weird and thought it was a fluke. Long story short I replaced the battery, battery cable, oil, alternator and the car is just fine. I've been driving it for almost 8 months. I put in maybe $500 in parts. While I am trying to figure out what the problem is I message them and ask if they charged the battery, or if the battery died on them at all. No answer despite multiple messages. And this is what bothers me you have no problem messaging me multiple times to threaten me with fees but can't respond to one simple message. My point is this shop is shady. They wanted to upsell me on expensive repairs I didn't need. Now I'm not even sure if I truly needed those $1500 in repairs the first time. How do I know it was an upsell? The guy who gave me my car back said, "we just go based on what the scanner says." And that's when I knew this shop sucked. Why would I be charged a ridiculous $150 fee for you to scan my car? Personally that doesn't seem like diagnostic work (at least a proper one). I feel like some of the things I discovered on my own an experienced mechanic would have found. The car had an electrical problem. In between those two visits I took another car to them to see if they could do a transmission drain and fill. I put that in the appointment request and I made the appointment days in advance. When I get there they say they can't work on the car because it has a lot of miles on it, which again is fine but why are you making me waste my time and bring my car to you if you aren't going to work on it. Do you not have someone who checks the following days' appointments? Why does your website allow me to make the appointment if it doesn't meet your shops criteria. All in all I say stay away and find a place with honest mechanics.

My dad was present while Cesar worked on my car, and my dad gave me such a glowing review of how Cesar worked. My dad has not been able to stop talking about how Cesar did an amazing job on my car, how clean he works, how he keeps his tools, and his communication. My dad was so impressed with the quality of work Cesar provided on my car that he decided to get a quote for replacing his rotors. When Ceasr finished on my car, he let me know that my brake fluid was not in good condition. He drained my brake fluid and replaced it with new fluid. He explained to me in detail that brake fluid should not be topped off. I had no idea, and apparently, my dad didn't know either, and we had topped it off because it was low. Now, I know, for future reference, that when it's low, I should replace my brakes. I appreciate the work that Cesar did on my car and his communication. I will absolutely use his service again and recommend him to friends and family.

Dr. Wheel is on the lower side of the equation. The other thing, they come to your house. Say what? Got me wondering how solid of a repair we were looking at. Well, once I dug into the process, saw that the work is warranted for a year, I figured I'd give them a shot. First, we had them do two aftermarket wheels which relatively minor damage. The result was pretty incredible. The wheels looked good as new and honestly, I couldn't remember where the blemishes were . Months later the wheels looked great. Today, we got four wheels on my wife's car done, all with curb rash to a varying degree and the result was great. The challenge today wasn't the damage, it actually wasn't super complex or extensive. It was the color. From the factory, the color is pretty unique, but the Dr. Wheel team got it pretty much exactly. A special shout out to Jonathan, who came out to our house twice and did a great job. Friendly, professional, thorough, and just an all around solid dude. Not that I hope to get more curb rash on any of our wheels (nor do I wish that for you!), but if we do, we will definitely go back to them. We've already referred them to a few neighbors.

This place is amazing I live all the way in Pomona and could not find a good place around here to buy food quality rims from. I had been searching online and came across Salinas Tires and decided to give it a look. Upon looking at the rims they have in stock all of them looked great. I drove all the way there to get some rims I had seen online but unfortunately when I got there they had just been sold but Oscar one of the workers there helped me find the right pair of rims for me. Went here for some off road used tires for my 09' Tundra so I can do some derby dompin' with friends down near Lake Elsinore. Got a set of BF Goodrich all-terrains with pretty decent tread level for far cheaper than what I would have paid up here in my area. Great service and the guys here definitely know their tires. I had 2 big nails a while back in one of my newer tires and thought it was done for. Another shop quoted me a price of around 150$, but the guy here told me the tire still had a lot of life left. They patched it in under 10 minutes and saved me over a hundred dollars. Been my favorite tire shop in Whittier since. read more
