The guy I had was great and thorough, but this lady who was doing my 7 year old niece's mani and pedi was grumpy and yelled at her for almost messing them up. Ok so I came here the week that salons opened during Covid. My nails were disgusting. I have not been here in years due to my mom having a horrible experience years ago. I decided to give it another shot. I was greeted and given the colors to check out. Picked 104 ( gel is the way to go bc I mess up all other polish every time). My pedicure is as great. I did notice they lined the bowl w plastic which is nice. They also did not use much lotion which again not sure if that was covid or not. Onto a full set. I mixed up my nails went w an almond shape. Same color. There are plexiglass barriers up which honestly make sense to have up all the time. The way they had it up and the look is very nice and professional. All employees were wearing masks. I wore a mask but not all customers were wearing masks. I feel the salon was clean, the work was great and I will be back. read more

This place used to be great but has really gone downhill! The older woman that works there is TERRIBLE! Went to have gel removed and she only removed part of it and then used a bottle of nail polish that was so old she kept adding thinner to it. Service was fine but the quality of my nails terrible. 3 days after getting my nails done 3 nails broke by doing the simplest task. Putting on my shoes , picking clothes off the ground etc. Went back & ask for a new set because these were obviously too thin. He told me the other nails were fine and he will just fix the three broken and make them thicker . 2 hours after leaving another one broke & 4 days later I'm missing the other 3 nails that weren't broken originally. Ok yeah cool, 28-year-old white male, reviewing a nail salon in middle America...This should be great, I'm sure he has a lot of great perspectives. Seeing as this was only the 3rd nail salon I've ever been to...I think I more or less get the drift as to how this goes. Walk in, greeted and given a menu, make a selection and then someone awkwardly washes, scrubs and trims your feet for 30 min. Felt great, looked great and my wife enjoyed it. So the husband of the year award goes to me. My only issue: cleanliness, limited English speakers (to be expected). Nobody/Nothing is perfect, I would go back if I lived in the area. I got my first set of acrylics here a few months back, and although I didn't love them I didn't realize how sloppy they really were until I recently got a set elsewhere. The nails were wavy/hilly when looked at from the side, too thick, and I was never asked what shape I wanted. The tech who did them asked a different tech to take me to dry them. Apparently it was my original tech's time to go. The nail polish had bubbles in it and when I accidentally had a smudge while drying them, the nail tech loudly sighed and actually stomped off to get the polish to fix it. Maybe I came on a bad day or time, but I wouldn't risk trying it again. read more

I tried out Oscar Nails yesterday evening. I walked in 20 minutes before close, (a No no) but I really needed my nails done and it was the only time I had free. I was greeted immediately and asked what I wanted. He told me the price and had me look through the colors. I wanted a new gel manicure and I still had on my previous gel. He had me soak them off while he finished up another client. He saw that I had split my natural nail on my first finger and took the time to gently remove the gel and fix it with powder so it could grow out and the cut off. He was a little rough with holding my hands and pushing them back toward me to put under the light but otherwise he did a great job. It was clean they cleaned stations as each customer was finished. He took great care of my natural nails. $25 was all I paid including the removal of the previous gel set done in Baltimore at Bella nails. There was no long wait, he was kind to some not so easy to please clients who found fault in everything, when I thought they were providing good service and were more than accommodating. To each there own I guess but she annoyed me as well. So good experience! I will go back and I would recommend them. I did ask about a paraffin bath for my hands afterward and it's only 5 dollars more. I will definitely get that next time. read more

I got in pretty quickly, but the overall experience was bad. I was getting my toes done when two employees started screaming at each other over an elderly woman's toes. Then the male worker tried to explain why he was yelling to me. They had no hot water so my toes were in freezing cold water. When I went to get my nails done, I told them to cut them a little short but he cut them completely down. The owner is in such a hurry to get everyone in that he yanks your hands and slaps them when you move the wrong way. I just had surgery and every time he yanked me my incision would hit the table. This place is so unorganized and they only have one person experienced in the Dip nail process and apparently acrylic as well. I went to get a mani and pedi at this horrible place and the gentleman doing my pedi DID NOT KNOW what he was doing, someone else had to polish my toes. Then I sat at the table for my mani and waited, no one explained to me who was doing my mani, or how long it was going to take I had to ask. The guy who is the ONLY one that knows how to do the DIP process was working on another customer, left her to dip my nails without giving me a proper mani, after my nails were dipped he jumped back to her acrylic job and after he finished her came back and finished my nails. I was very unsatisfied with my nails. I just needed a fill and gel polish. While the fill was fine, the gel was terrible! The woman missed spots of my nail and her application was streaky and very sloppy. Also, she didn't cover my nail completely with clear coat so after they were treated under the lamp some parts of my nails were glossy while other parts of them had a matte finish. Ordinarily I would have asked someone to fix the issue, but there were so many things wrong that I just wanted to get out of there. I would definitely not recommend this salon. read more

I got a pedicure here. It was just ok, nothing special. The thing that drives me crazy at some of these nail places is when they try to pressure you into another service. Especially when they ask if you want a manicure and you already have a full set of nails, or if you want a wax and you have nice clean tweezed eye brows. Ehhh just one of those things. I was not greeted right away, people who came in after me received service before I did (it was obvious that she didn't have an appointment) and the guy who I think is the owner or manager is a total jerk. Worst. Nail. Experience. Ever. I was disappointed seeing as my friend raved about this place. Staff was friendly but their work was subpar. My 7 year old got her nails painted by the young lady (which they turned out really cute!) BUT they literally lasted ONE hour before they peeled right off (not chip, PEEL!). She got home and cried her eyes out which is what really made me go out of my way to write this review. I paid $95 for a deluxe pedi and mani with the dipping powder! My cuticles look like shit. My polish looks too chunky and uneven. And after reading up on dipping powder when I got home, the staff should have poured the powder into a clean, separate bowl when dipping my nails in. They dipped my nails straight into the container! VERY unsanitary. I understand they were busy. the guy doing my nails was jumping from chair to chair. but if it wasn't for the fact it was already past 9 when he finally finished, I would most definitely made them completely redo it! read more

I had a good experience here. I popped in at about 845am on a saturday and even though they weren't technically open yet, they took me for a pedicure. I also got a gel overlay manicure which I am quite happy with. The wait to get to my nails was a little longer than I would have liked but they were very nice to me and I love the way both my manicure and pedicure came out. Oscar's nails is the worst nail salon in Brownsburg. Please go to Creative or Ivy Nails, but stay away from this place. The owner is extremely rude. While they are giving you a service they are really pushing the up-sell using a menu that is laminated. Getting your nails done is expensive enough without the pressure of being oversold. The quality of work isn't great either. One day, I got there at 6:30 pm (they close at 8pm) after waiting for over 30 minutes the owners wife asked me to come back and handed me a card. My girlfriends and I had a birthday bash here for pedicures a couple of months ago and truly loved this nail place. They really took care of us. You have to get the hot rock treatment for your legs. I wouldn't even give this place a star. First off, I wasn't even greeted. I only came in for a new set and she ripped my nails off. I asked her to stop and she didn't and she also didn't listen to what I wanted. She was too busy talking to someone to pay attention to my nails and then sloppily painted on my top coat. When it came time to pay they don't even give you the option to tip, they simply just ask is this amount enough, which includes the tip. I thought she was telling me the price which was thirty.
