Sushi is great here. It's a small place but very quaint! The provide excellent service and take there time making your order to perfection.

I ordered to go. To be honest I don't think I had an option. The inside was SO dark and it looked like there was no dining room. I honestly couldn't tell it was open from the outside, thankfully there is an OPEN neon sign. Anyway, the salmon roll was disappointing. Rice just kept falling off the roll. Definitely not properly made. The shrimp tempura roll was just okay. I like that they put a lot of eel sauce but I read one other review about it being too sweet and I agree. I am disappointed though because the reviews from years ago seemed as though this place was great and now all recent reviews say it's gone completely downhill. read more

Ordered the Dynamite, Shrimp Tempura and Fire Fight rolls recently via DoorDash. Originally ordered the Spider Roll but somehow they were out of stock, odd for an afternoon lunch timing. Readiness of the food for pickup was fairly quick and seamless; staff wore masks as well. I found the shrimp tempura roll to be too sweet for my liking, and the dynamite roll only had masago on two of the pieces, but the fire fight roll was great and would definitely recommend. Overall, solid option for sushi but couldn't call it spectacular, although maybe that's a given with takeout sushi vs dining in. read more

Kinda bummed and I've been striving to write great reviews about places. I ordered the Lyndhurst roll & the Rainbow roll and I wasn't that impressed. Lyndhurst roll: Tuna, salmon, crab, shrimp, avocado with special spicy sauce and crunch outside. Spicy. Giant rolls - they definitely have a kick. This wasn't what I expected at all. It didn't even taste like I was eating sushi. It was almost like meaty pieces of fish with a weird spicy sauce on top. I wasn't sure what to take of this roll. Rainbow Roll - crab, avocado, cucumber, tossed with tuna, salmon, whitefish and shrimp. Honestly, I didn't feel like the fish was the fresh or maybe wasn't the fish they said it was on the menu. Something was a little off - maybe I'm crazy. I wanted to try Uber eats for the first time and I gave this place a shot. Eh, not that impressed, and most items were shown as 'sold out'! I've eaten here over half a dozen times. It's a solid option. Price is decent and they get your order fast. Last time i ate here was about 3 weeks ago maybe less. They arent open now. Cause of the pandemic. They have a lunch special. Which is a good option. With miso soup and cheaper price for your meal. Another great Sushi place by me! How will I ever choose? Came here for dinner. Location is small (but not too small), dark and intimate. Japanese feel decor with lovely umbrellas hanging from the ceiling. It's a BYOB, so feel free to bring a bottle to enjoy with the sushi. We had the fire fight roll, sun-rise roll, and shrimp Shumai, everything was fresh and full of flavor. Delicious! Will definitely be back. read more

Amazing place, changed the sushi game for us! We found this spot on our way to the gym by searching 'sushi' in google maps and it was on the way. We've never heard of this spot before but it's a must go to place for awesome sushi. We finally found our sushi spot! We had the Lyndhurst Roll, the Volcano Roll and the Sunrise Roll all delicious ! This is a decent place if you want a quick bite to eat. Also cheap. However, they aren't very accommodating to vegan customers and the ingredients aren't that fresh. The salad with ginger dressing is just white iceberg lettuce with a little dressing. (You can get the same salad with mixed greens, avocado, and tomatoes, and a whole bottle of dressing for the table at Nizi Sushi a town over. & it's only a dollar more!) My sister and I also both got a roll. Mine veggie and hers with fish. The rice was abnormally warm, not even room temperature. The roll was small too. The same friendly faces I used to see are now replaced by unfriendly grumpy faces who barely say hello when you walk in. They often times don't have the organic tofu on the appetizer menu. my family and I have ordered here every single week for the last 10 years. we spend minimum $100 a week and only get sushi from this place. The past 3 months has increasingly decreased in quality, availability of fish and customer service. The rolls are so sloppy and fall apart when you try to pick them up. Every single week they pick and choose which rolls they want to make, this week no flower roll and no sushi orders - reason? Not making today- but have the ingredients. As loyal customers we still ordered and to no surprise, couldn't pick up a single piece and the fish on top looked like it was hacked by a chainsaw and covered 25% of the top of the roll. They are unfriendly when you call, huff when you place orders and refuse to make rolls they say available on the menu. Very sad to say we will no longer order from here ever again. We've made excuses on poor quality since we've always went there but can no longer justify begging this restaurant to make weekly orders and the horrible quality we get back. what happened to this place?! read more

If you're a sushi lover, add this spot to your list of places to go. This local establishment is exceptionally managed; the staff is quick, friendly, genuine, and professional. The restaurant itself is always very clean. The atmosphere is relaxing and inviting, and there's usually soft jazz playing in the background. As for the food: I've had their shrimp tempura, spicy tuna, California roll, salmon roll, eel roll, volcano roll, bento box (Both the salmon and tofu one)...the list goes on. They also have a post workout roll or two. Their seafood soup is also great, it's not too spicy and not too salty. It comes with crab, scallops, clams, shrimp, scallions, and a dumpling. Try their green tea mochi or banana tempura for dessert! If you're around the area during the day, take advantage of their lunch specials. PS- Parking is located in the back; make a left at the light (at the corner of Enterprise Rent a Car), and the entrance will be the first entrance on the left. Is sushi what you're craving? Then you must check them out! This has to be the best sushi restaurant I have ever been to. Not only is the food extremely fresh, the presentation is even better. They are very attentive to each customer, and consistent with their service. The ambiance is casual but also great for a date night. If you're looking for an inexpensive place to eat, this may not be your best option because the best rolls are around $13 for a 6piece. At Osaka you pay for quality, and honestly it's worth every cent. Although the prices can be a tad steep their selection is so extensive that it can fit anyone's budget. A quaint simple no frills sushi restaurant with very fresh fish. I'm a big tuna fan and it tasted sweet and smooth. Just like I like it. The ginger salad was tasty. The seaweed salad was wonderful and ample. Miso soup was typical, but good. A nice small pot of free tea was served. BTW no saki because it's BYOB. Friendly and very efficient service. We enjoyed everything and will return to try some more exotic delicacies. But I'll be bringing my own saki or Japanese beer. read more

VERY CLEAN AND FRESH! These are the two most important things in a sushi restaurant, and this place nailed it. Osaka has been in my town for a while now, but this was my first visit after I got fed-up with the sub-par sushi from my normal places. I went there on a Friday afternoon during my lunch break. The hostess/waitress was friendly and not over-attentive, and she took my order right away. I'm sure this was due, in part, to being one of only three occupied tables, so I'd have to see how prompt the service is on a busier occasion. My beverage and miso soup was served a minute after ordering. The miso soup was excellent; it tasted fresh and not too salty. I was so relieved it didn't taste or look like it had been sitting in the kitchen for the past three days! I received my edamame and Rainbow Roll shortly after finishing my soup. The serving of edamame was generous, and they thoughtfully provided an empty bowl for the pods! The Rainbow Roll was expertly prepared and looked downright beautiful. The fish was super fresh and gorgeous looking. I will definitely be back! UPDATE: I went for lunch again, and I still have rave reviews! My first visit was no fluke; this place is 5 stars all the way. I got the miso soup and Rainbow Roll again. :) My friend ordered the teriyaki chicken bento box from the lunch menu and the gyoza (pork dumplings). The dumplings were fried to perfection, not greasy or mushy. The bento box had a generous helping of flavorful rice, garden salad with ginger dressing, California Roll, and chicken teriyaki with broccoli. The guy at the front had the worst attitude I've ever experienced. I used to love this place until today, when the what I believe to be the owner, decided it was appropriate to raise his voice at me and give me an attitude when I simply asked if they offered indoor dining. I understand this is a hard time for the service industry & I was trying to support local business. The food here is average at best, but I used to love the atmosphere. It's a shame they lost a customer tonight especially in times like these. Would not recommend, check out Domodachi in Rutherford instead. after reading the reviews, i was excited to try this place out. i was a bit disappointed, however. as others have said, it is a bit pricier than other sushi joints in the area. and for the added price, it was not better. in fact, it was pretty mediocre at best. though most of the food was just OK, the rice was absolutely unacceptable. the side of rice, and rice that came with the chicken teriyaki meal were sushi rice; as in, seasoned with vinegar and sugar. even as far as sushi rice goes, it was mealy and mushy. just flat out gross. it turned me off from my entree. read more

Awkward vibe when you enter an empty restaurant and you're outnumbered by the staff. It seems like a family run operation, but the kids have been forced to work at the place and are not at all happy about it. Portion sizes are on the smaller side, and too much out of the squeeze bottle Tonkatsu sauce smothering the cutlet. Cali roll was teeny with not much flavor to the rice. We tried this place for the first time, I apologize I should have taken a picture of the food lol but couldn't resist. We had the shrimp tempura and volcano rolls, both were very delicious. I gave it 4 out of 5 because the tempura was fried really hard. The menu is filled with different sushi types, and from what I've read they all seem very good!
