The good: They have a unique and artistic interior. They were open when one of our favorite Bigfork restaurants was closed. Our food was done quickly. The bad: 1. THEY ONLY HAVE ONE MENU ITEM: tacos. The options are chicken, beef, or pork. Given that this was the only item, I was optimistic that they must be really good. I was wrong. 2. The tacos aren't really tacos. They are basically something that appear to be similar to something kinda Mexican, but the appearance is as close as it gets. They're served as "tortillas" that are far more similar to pita bread. The pork was definitely better than the beef. 3. The flavors were very bland, majorly lacking in spices. Even just a a bit of salt would do wonders for them. 4. The prices are as high as any of the fine dining experiences in Bigfork, but this is NOT fine dining. $18 for three small tacos? Since it's literally the only option on the menu, I guess our meals were $18 a piece. 4. The staff we encountered were not super friendly. They were quick, but we never saw a smile from the host or either of the others who waited at our table. Was it the worst? Nope. Will I ever go back? I sure hope not. Bigfork has many better options. (And if you're in the Flathead Valley just looking for Mexican, I suggest you check out Pescado Blanco in Whitefish for a more pleasing culinary treat and cheerful service.) read more

Was told to check out this place from our AirBnB host but was not impressed. Service was good and atmosphere wise fun but there is nothing special about the food. To start the menu is super limited, which I can appreciate if the food is amazing. We thought the tacos were fine but not enough seasoning and definitely nothing to write home about. This place is such an awesome addition to the valley! We tried quite a spread from their unique menu and were impressed with every single bite! What a disappointment. When they first opened, the food was good, menu was limited which was nice and it was a nice change up to a sleepy town. Decided to drive 40 mins to enjoy the nice weather and grab some tacos. Waited at the front desk for 20 minutes. Servers walking past us without any acknowledgment at all. We finally asked someone if we needed to "wait to be seated" as the sign suggested and he was clueless, so he asked a gentleman who might have been the head chef or at least a boss and he said "uh yes, that's why we have the sign. Once they clean some tables off then you can seat them". We were right there and he was talking to his staff like we were invisible. The tone was rude and honestly I should have left then. There were only maybe 4 out of the 10 tables occupied at this point and only 1 needed to be cleaned off. Clearly understaffed (which I can understand) but the lack of bedside manner and the way he said it was just rude. Seeing as that I had my 5 year old daughter with me who was beyond hungry at this point, we waited a for more minutes and we're finally seated. My daughter asked if they could make her some chips with cheese (again, she's 5) and the waitress said "actually no. If it's not the menu we can't do it because other guests might see and want it to". Ok. Strike two. To top it off at the end of the meal, I handed the waitress my card, and when the card receipt came back, it was more than the original amount. Turns out in fine print, if you use a credit card they are pushing the 3% processing fee onto the consumer. It wasn't reflected on the original receipt presented, only when she ran it did she tack it on. Im sorry, but That's the cost of owning a business. It should have been clearly defined before sitting down if you really don't want to assume that cost, not thrown on with the bill at the end. The food was blah. Service was blah. Bigfork MT has a winner in this new and upcoming taco gem! The food was amazing and authentic. I am not a local but Dan (owner) really hit this place out of the park. Came in for my 21st birthday, and I can't express how wonderful the experience was! We sat up at the bar, and the bartender Rocko was very friendly and was showing us how he made each drink. I got a cocktail and decided to try some top shelf tequila. They were very kind in describing everything to us before we tried it, and shared in our excitement. The younger bartender was very nice as well, I'm sorry I don't remember his name. The place was very clean with nice ambience. The younger guy was kind enough to look in the back for a T-shirt that fit me to remember the night by. Can't wait to come back! read more

We were so excited to bring our guest into town and experience a taste of Bigfork hospitality. We were apprehensive to try this place based on reviews and lack of attention given to us by staff when we walked in, but gave it a shot since guests liked the menu. We were told there was seating in back and let them know we would be seating. After ten minutes without any attention, we had to go find someone and were reprimanded by a blonde woman who was more interested in talking to bartender than us. She told us no one knew we were there but she would handle. Then after some time, eventually brought drinks. Our elderly mother spilled her drink and the blonde server left us to clean it ourselves. We eventually went to bartender to get a rag since she never came back. Even the bartended had attitude. After being ignored until it was time to pay, we sat at a table with wet rags and ice cubes, only to be horrified when she asked our guests if they were from out of town, as if tourists weren't allowed at the local joint. So much for Big Fork hospitality. I wish I could say the food was good, but the taste in my mouth from the service was so bad, I can't say I remember. read more

Terrible experience, basically just a taco place. Ordered an appetizer platter with chips, tortillas, salsa, black beans and queso but what came out was 4 tortillas and a tiny bowl of pureed black beans-they were out of queso and chips! My family ordered quesadillas and got 2 tacos with melted cheese. Then the bill comes and they charged us $1 for sour cream that came in a little cup like a side of ranch comes in. We found this place while walking around in Big Fork. This restaurant has a great atmosphere and the house made margaritas were incredible. We also had the delicious queso which I'd also recommend. By far the best taco meat was the smoked brisket, it was to die for. We met the owner Danny as he made his way around the restaurant, he was very friendly and fun to talk to. Food and service were excellent! The nicest owner and staff - we loved the Taco Trio, short rib tacos and chips and guac. Owners took lots of time and effort planning and building out the space and it worked! Overall great atmosphere! We used to come here a lot when it was first opened, & honestly it was one of our favorite restaurants in the valley. The tacos were amazing, well priced, drinks delicious, & service great! I recently went back & had a pretty bad experience with food & service. We thought maybe it was just a one off, but we went back again & it wasn't much better. The food prices have jumped way high & you get less food than before. No rice & beans on the side. Chips & salsa aren't free anymore--which is fine, but they wait until your food is almost out to even bring them. I used to love the margaritas here & the past 3 times they have tasted like club soda, lime juice & simple syrup. Mind you these are not cheap margaritas. The tequila is definitely being cut with water. Last time I went I ordered a double & still could not taste the tequila. I am feeling like they are trying to cut costs while ripping people off. We will not be back which is such a bummer because this was definitely a favorite. Tourist season might be fine, but locals are the ones that carry businesses through the winter season, & im sure others are feeling the same way. read more
