Loved the spam aesthetic of the spam cocktail, but the banana milk cocktail was definitely my favorite especially if you like frozen drinks that are mildly sweet. The pom was also pretty good too if you prefer a warm drink for the cold weather. We were able to snag a big table on a Friday night and spent our time playing card games a friend brought which made our experience here very comfortable and relaxed. The staff was very friendly and chill. They served us water at the table and let us know we could order from the bar. There's also a noodle bar here that we didn't get to try this time, but will defs try on our next visit. Would probably skip the fries and try something else instead. Overall, we had a great time here. Would totally come back! Highly recommend the banana milk cocktail and the hot pom.

After dinner, we were looking for somewhere to have drinks on a Friday night. Some of the places we tried to go to were packed and then we stumbled across Orion Bar and boy are we glad we did! Although it wasn't packed, there were a decent amount of people inside and going in and out. We ordered the cocktails: Hot Pom, Space Jam, Banana Milk, and then Cosmic Spritzer (Non alcoholic). Everyone enjoyed their drinks and presentation was on point. A bottle of Soju was also ordered. We also ordered fries to share while we chatted and played games (we brought our own). Fries came piping hot with a ssamjang aioli on the side. To be honest, glad to have tried the aioli but couldn't really care for it. Of course, a little biased since half of us aren't huge fans of the mayo-flavor. Taste-wise, we all preferred having the fries without it. The staff though are super friendly, chill, and very kind! Interior is well thought out in terms of seating and pretty clean from what we could tell. Would definitely come back and maybe try their noodle/food options if we didn't already have dinner.

Service was great. Our guy was calm and answered all of our questions. Ambiance was okay. Not a spot I'd go for a first date and it's Better with friends anyways. We got the Al bap, the rice cake dish (sorry don't know full name of some of these) the savory noodles with brisket , the fish chips, French fries and moon pie. The Al bap is good , it's served with pre packaged seaweed to scoop the rice into. The rice cake dish was the strongest dish at our table. French fries were a good addition too. Shoe string and seasoned very well! The fish chips were most disappointing as there was an expectation of something else opposite and more filling of chips that feels like Korean Doritos. If you think about it, we spent $11 on Doritos The noodles with brisket is okay and gave cup noodle seasoned really well vibes. Compared to the other photos on here, The brisket was grey in the moment I didn't realize , until I googled later lol The moon pie was on the house and was just as expected. A moon pie in a prepackage wrapper to invoke nostalgia. I would come here again for drinks and fries with friends. Personally wouldn't choose this place if I was really hungry unless I had a specific craving for nostalgic Korean comfort foods. I think this place lived up to the gimmicks more than anything else . Serving frozen drinks in a spam tin is fun...I'm sure this review would be different if I could relate to these dishes but it's okay. I added the bill to the review so you can see how much we paid . Like I said I'd come here for the drinks and their fries. Anything else Is a one time try!

The music is at a low enough volume that you can hear your conversations, it doesn't get too crowded so you can spread out, even if you're in a large group. Downstairs, it's a lot tighter, with a DJ, dance floor, lounge seating area, and a much more packed and busy atmosphere on the weekends. I like ping ponging between both vibes when I'm with friends. Admittedly I've found the music both times to be too experimental for me. Confessing that makes me feel like an old person shaking my fist or at least shaking my head, misunderstanding what makes the youth tick. But I had no trouble twirling around the dance floor to this weird experimental music after throwing back a few tequila sodas upstairs. A few times while here my friends have split up into the group that wants to go downstairs to dance and the group that wants to stay upstairs and chill. It's relatively easy to navigate between both vibes, which I enjoy about this spot very much.

Came here on a quiet weeknight by a total mistake!…read more We came to grab some drinks at the rooftop bar and catch the sunset and gorgeous views. When we saw "Water Tower" on the elevator we decided to press it. SO GLAD WE DID. We landed at the Water Tower and walked into a fairly empty space decorated with art all the way to the ceiling, filled with natural light coming in and the views of the skyline were out of this world. We had to try their drinks of course to enjoy with the incredible view. Though the drinks are $21 and served in a plastic cup that evening, I was NOT expecting my drink to be this insanely delicious. I ordered the inferno Paloma which they infuse themselves with- and it was true perfection. By the way, each bar has their own menu which is pretty awesome and makes it even more fun. Also, Axel is the most incredible bartender and we absolutely loved his creations. Later that night we ordered a custom mandarin margarita, with a spicy twist, and WOW. He's truly talented and absolutely made us some awesome drinks that we can't stop talking about. Sunset with a view and a spicy mezcal drink? Yes and YES. We had this place all to ourselves and can't wait to be back. Friday nights they have DJ nights and you can also book the Water Tower for your own private events which is pretty cool!

Watching soccer, pretending as if I had been looking forward to Germany playing Curaçao for weeks. The occasional glance at the Chrysler building across the East River. As I worked my way through my beers, the amazing bartender perfectly timing my refills, I felt as if this may be my new place. My "get away from all the noise" safe haven. That was until I was halfway through beer three. It all got dark. I mean it literally got dark. A waitress began pulling down all the blinds, taking away the sun haven I had found myself loving. Taking away the joy I had worked so hard to achieve. That is when I knew that that beer would be my last. I did not come to a bar with a wall of windows to end up in a place darker than the Rikers Island cells mere miles away. So I ask this one question to the waitress, why? Why ruin the joy of light? Why ruin it?

It came out as two huge slices of sourdough stacked so high that I couldn't even finish one. For something that expensive, there should absolutely be some indication of portion size, or at minimum the waiter should mention it when ordering. Avocado toast also isn't exactly something you can box up and save for later, so a lot of it just went to waste. Honestly, the menu feels arrogantly overpriced, what avocado toast dish is pushing $30? The only thing that seemed reasonably priced was the $35 bottomless brunch. Overall, the pricing felt excessive and the lack of transparency made the experience frustrating.

The Sweet Potato Beignets with hot honey & parmesan were definitely interesting--sweet, savory, and a bit unexpected. Not my favorite item of the night, but still worth trying if you like unique flavor combos. The BK Sliders (3 pc) were solid: thick applewood smoked bacon, American cheese, Russian dressing, and pickle on mini brioche buns. Simple, satisfying, and nicely done. The real standout though was the Calamari with shichimi pepper, jalapeño, lime zest, and herbal dipping sauce--absolutely amazing. Crispy, flavorful, and the seasoning had just the right kick. Easily the best dish we ordered. Service was friendly and the atmosphere made it easy to linger. Overall a great experience, and I'd definitely come back--especially for that calamari and another hot toddy.

I've never ate here, but I recommend grabbing drinks during the summer months when they open the canopy. It's a nice rooftop feel. However, I went on a fall Saturday night and the place was completely empty. I walked upstairs and even wondered if the bar was open due to a chair blocking the entrance. It is too bad Yelp doesn't allow half stars as I would honestly put this one at a 3.5 and am rounding up. While the quality of the elevated seafood bites is immaculate, they are just that: a bite or two of food, for an elevated price considering the amount of food you get. After spending $76 a person, we were still hungry, whereas that amount would have been enough to feed two average women at another good restaurant. But if you go with an expense account or trust fund baby, definitely get the scallops and the yellowtail pastrami because those two items will blow your mind. Our waitress pointed these two out to us and we're grateful for her guidance because it was spot on. Paying for bread at a Solomonov joint is odd. No dessert menu is odder. Wheelchair access details: The bar is on a terrace. The accessible entrance is through the Hoxton hotel. A staff member will take you through the k'far kitchen and up via a service elevator. No barriers once you are upstairs and plenty of accessible outdoor and indoor/outdoor options, including a small length of wheelchair height bar. A perfectly functional though unexciting wheelchair accessible restroom is available.
