Black coffee ($2.75 + sales tax) without creamer is brewed well. Free complementary creamer packets for your desire. Competitive California prices, with the exception of the soft drinks. Two dual-set electrical outlets adjacent to the Northern and Southern trash bins. Two infant seats. Very clean restroom. Single point of entry and exit on Costco Dr and Central Avenue. Plenty of parking with not too many consumers attending the restaurant. Bring your friends and loved ones because this restaurant is a treasure trove. If you like cold chili fries and waiting in the drive thru for 30 min behind only two cars this is the place for you. I do Uber eats pickup and this place not only didn't have the food prepped after I told them who the order was for and wqited in the drive through for about 20 min. They the asked me to drive around and wait in the front of the store bc the food wasn't ready. Finally brought out the food. Not sure what they are doing back there. I hate this Tommy's. Pitch black parking lot probably because they don't want people to know that they are open. Burger slopped on the bun sideways hanging outside the bun and chili didn't taste good. I've tried Tommy's before, and for some odd reason it's just not what it used to be. I ordered a chili cheese burger, chili fries with a drink. And it just wasn't what I remember it being. The texture of the chili was a little thick (good texture for chili) but it did taste it bland. I didn't enjoy my food tbh The customer service wasn't bad, but also nothing above average. This restaurant is located on a busy street, so expect to wait 20 mins in the drive thru. read more

I made a trip here from Rancho Cucamonga last Sunday to get my hands on an "Original Tommy Burger". I wish it had been better than it was. The place is clean, with plenty of parking, and a very busy drive through line. I can't imagine eating any of their food in a car; it's super messy. Maybe it comes with a bib? There's only one cashier, who, apparently, also lends a hand in the kitchen when they are busy. When I walked in, there were 3 people in front of me, and I clocked about 5 minutes until they were ready to take my order. The menu isn't big; there is a choice of burgers with cheese and chili, hot dogs with cheese and chili, fries with cheese and chili, tamales with cheese and chili, and, oh, yeah, chili. I ordered the number 1 combo; a double chili cheese burger, upgrade to chili cheese fries, and a drink. $13, all in. It took another 5 minutes to get my order; that was fine with me. The kitchen is pretty much open, and they were cooking to order. The burger breaks down thusly: The bun was fresh and toasted, the thin "smash" burger patties were juicy, but had no sear whatsoever. The lettuce, tomato, pickle and onion were all fresh. Unfortunately, the cheese has almost no cheesy flavor, and the chili, while plentiful, was uninspired. It had a a little bit of spice, but no real bite; no really chili flavor ... not even a decent cumin note. The fries were fresh and crisp, but, regrettably, the chili and cheese on the fries were as flavorless as they were on the burger. I'm glad I gave it a try, but I'll keep looking for a really good chili cheese burger elsewhere. read more

So I know Tommy's is known for more being out in LA, but is has finally made its way to the end of LA to Montclair. I thought I would check this place out with a friend on a Saturday night. She had told me that this place was her family's tradition when they would go out to LA, so I was like okay cool. Waiting in line and ordered WAY too much food. Got all of our food in boxes, which I didn't know was a thing that Tommy's did. We went back home and the food was still hot, so that was pretty cool. We ordered the cheeseburgers, the tamales and the chili cheese fries. I was surprised by how filling the food. Pricing was decent, but this food is on the heavier side. I used to go to this Tommy's whenever I wanted to eat their great food. However, they have lost two customers in both my friend and I. It was a Monday night at nearly 10 pm. My friend and I wanted Tommy's and drove there to go eat inside the restaurant. We go to the two front doors to find that they are locked, but the sign says the inside is open until 11 pm. We go to the door on the other side and find it is unlocked and walk in. We walk inside and are told they are drive thru only even though there are no visible signs on any door that says otherwise. I told them that their sign says they are open inside and the lady rudely looked at me and said they are drive thru only. Very disappointed by their lazy staff members. Ehh not a big fan of Tommy's after my latest visit, w got a chili cheeseburger, chili cheese fries, regular fries, and a chili cheese dog....the cheeseburger was off something wasn't right when I was eating it...tasted like it wasn't real beef I tired everything separately to see what the exact problem was and it was the "beef" patty...not 100% sure if it was beef or if it was just old but it had a very bad rotten taste to it. The fries were alright not crispy at all. I've been to the original Tommy's in LA and I believe it's way better than any other but I don't believe I will be returning back especially because it took us 20 mins to get our food there was only one person ahead of us and I could see about 3 workers inside doing nothing but looking confused I'm sure there was more workers in the back actually making the food.
