Salmon sinigang
Austin K.

So, she is not supposed to be open on Tuesday but somehow she was. Perhaps, it was an off day. She only had one meal which was the salmon sinigang and 3 chicken wings with rice. I don't know sinigang and it tasted like a version of sour soup, but didn't have much flavor. The salmon was tender. But for $28, I can't really stomach the small portion of soup and 3 chicken wings.

Longanisa

Stopped by on a little Pike Place food crawl to try the longanisa and lumpia! It's nice that they sell them individually as a side since that was all we wanted. The longanisa was phenomenal. Absolutely delicious - juicy with a snappy skin and the flavor was spectacular! It came with some vinegar to cut the fattiness but I could devour a few of those easily. The lumpia was also good (it's the long and skinny type) but the longanisa was definitely the star. I'd 100% come back to try more!

Even though we spent the day eating through the market we had to make room for the longanisa sausage here. We grabbed a sausage and lumpia and the lumpia was solid nothing crazy, but the sausage was in fact mind blowing. I could've eaten many in one seating and I was strongly debating grabbing some mac and cheese to pair with it. Well priced and quick if you just want a little snack.

This place is one of the most hyped Filipino restaurants in Seattle, and it's located right at the entrance to Pike Place so it's always packed with tourists. To be honest, I don't know why this place is so hyped. If you come expecting life changing Filipino food, then you'll probably be disappointed. But if you just want some solid home style cooking, then this is for you. This place is famous for their salmon sinigang but they always run out super fast (like before 12 on weekends), so if you want some, you better come early. They usually have the sinigang broth with small pieces of salmon that you can get with your food though. I think the best things here are the longanisa and the bangus head. The longanisa is homemade and packed with flavor. I loved how fatty and rich it was and the strong flavors paired with rice and vinegar are so good. The bangus head is also really good. The skin is super crispy and the meat is tender and fresh. I must emphasize that you have to get the head. The body is too lean and the meat was pretty dry. The adobo has good flavor but I also felt that the meat was dry.

A true Seattle and Pike Place institution! On my most recent trip here on a Saturday morning, I got the half and half: a half order of salmon sinigang and then I opted for the longanisa. I also got two lumpia as well! The sinigang was addicting I could not stop drinking the broth. It had a nice sour flavor that I could not resist. The longanisa had the perfect amount of sweetness and texture and the lumpia was nice and crispy with an amazing filling! Limited seating here as it is counter only if you are dining in but it is so good!! Also the workers are super nice and friendly and checked in on you!

I came around 1pm on a saturday and there was no line. the restaurant does not have a lot of seating, but I managed to get a seat since it wasn't that busy. I wasn't that big of a fan - the rice was mushy and the adobo sauce didn't taste like much to me. The chicken was tender, but pretty flavorless as well. My favorite part was the longaniza. The restaurant is decorated well and feels very homey. I heard the soups might be better.

This place has been on my to-try list for 5 or so years, and my friend and I finally got to have it on a Saturday morning around 11:40am. It serves classic Filipino comfort food, similar to the likes of Ludi's and Sizzling Asian Grill. The only difference is that this place has been around for a really long time, and is tucked away inside part of Pike Place beyond some groceries and next to a yogurt place. It's noisy around here, and there's limited seating just around the corner of the kitchen and some straight ahead. Menu is pretty small, which is already a good thing since that means the dishes are gonna be high quality. After placing your order, the staff make your food and then call your name out when your food's ready. Both my friend and I got their longanisa plate, which comes with rice and pancit. Rice is standard and has some sauce on it, while the pancit is lightly salted and makes for a great palette cleanser. The real winner was the longanisa, and you get three thick pieces of them for around $18 after tax! Each piece was sweet, tender and juicy all around, and I could see some fat inside when I was biting into each one. They're so packed with flavor that I wish there were five pieces instead! Portions here are deceptively big even though the plate is small, so expect to struggle finishing it if you're not a big eater. I can't believe it's taken me this long to finally try here, and now that I have it's something else to cross off my really long list of Seattle places I've neglected to try over the years. Even with just one visit, I'd take family, friends, and visitors to Seattle here for one of their meals!

This isn't a standard pike place food stall--it's a high-stakes audition where the prize is lunch. The line moves best when everyone is understands what's at stake. You're expected to know your order, say it clearly, pay immediately, and slide down the counter like you've trained for it. Hesitate, ask a question, or make a joke and you can feel Auntie Lie, the owner, giving you the once over. I ordered the salmon sinigang and the longanisa, unfortunately, they were amazing. This is Filipino home style food- rustic, rich, flavorful, well seasoned--and after walking all day in the cold rain, it was like coming home. Auntie Lie behind the counter served it like she was issuing a warning, not a meal. Just kidding- she actually was warm and friendly. She said, "you come here before? You know exactly the right things to order". I didn't tell her it was out of fear and admiration for how she handled the tourist in front me. Just kidding . I sat at the side bar, enjoyed my meal and enjoyed reading her many notes and pictures with folk who've been longtime fans. This stall has baked in character, and in the bustle of tourists, eating here and watching it all was a great ambience. Worth it? Yes. This is a must needed spot to visit at pike place. If it isn't, don't tell Auntie Lie.

Always so comforting and delicious came right when they opened on a Sunday, has been awhile since I've had a chance to dine here. Love being able to chat Auntie Lei. My friend and I shared the Trust Me Plate we had both been wanting to try it for awhile.. and were also lucky enough to get a couple of Auntie's wings. Every one is always friendly and food comes out fast. One of the fun parts is reading the signs while you're sitting at the lunch counter

This is my first time here and I can definitely see why it's so highly rated. It's in pike place, and they are popular as there was already a line right when they open. They only have a few seatings so either you have to wait or do take out or fine seating elsewhere. The person taking our order is very friendly. She treated us like a friend rather than a customer. We ended up getting 1/2 sinigang and pork adobo. It was a good portion. Both was very tasty. The pork was very tender and soft and the dish itself was balanced. The sinigang was definitely sour but in a good way. My husband loved it. The only reason for a 4 star is because I think it's pricey. The food is good but I don't think it justifiy for the price. It was $28 for what we got.

It was not good at all. Just being honest here. Everything is watery even the inside of the longanisa. Not sure why people like this place. Location: It is located at Pike Place Market. You have to go inside of the market and it looks like an eatery. There is only bar chairs so its a little bit uncomfortable. There is a line when I went there. Service: they were nice and apologetic about the line. Food: Everything was not good. This is not how Filipino dish should be made. LONGANISA: i dont know but the sausage is very watery inside, it could be good if it is not soggy. The rice is not cooked as well it has too much water. The noodles that comes with it is bland. ADOBO: this is not how adobo should he made. It was watery and there is no adobo flavor. I felt like they boiled it in water and put soy sauce on it. It is very watery. SINIGANG na SALMON: this might be a little better. Its sour but the salmon is the head so there is not that much meat on it. Price rating: 10/10. Very expensive for not so good meal. around $22 per meal. Never will come back here. I felt that people that come here never tasted what a real Filipino food supposed to taste like.

No frills, no fuss. You order at the counter, then sit down and they bring the food to you. And this is a storied place at Pike Place, and the wall of visitors and recognitions lets you know its past. It certainly is a home cooked food experience, you are seeing them cook right in front of you. I got a half and half - so salmon tip sinigang soup and chicken adobo which came with pancit (noodles) and garlic rice. The soup is so perfect on a rainy day. It warms from within, the herbal sour notes. It's not heavy, it's light but it is definitely plentiful. Just be careful of the fish bones. The vinegary chicken adobo is also like a hug in a bowl, eaten with the rice. Would absolutely recommend anyone who visits Pike Place to not miss this place.

As of July 2021, on which days is lunch available here? Trying to plan a visit, but don't want to miss the food if it's not every day.

They are open every day for lunch other then monday. It is a lunch counter that opens at 11 and closes when shes out of food or 4pm. Whatever occurs 1st.

Does this restaurant offer delivery, I've looked everywhere on delivery apps but can't find it? Also, the link to their Facebook website seems broken to me.

I don't believe they do delivery. They don't have a real big menu right now they have a table set on the side facing the street that goes through the market and you can order from a list of items available.

What are the hours for getting the salmon sinigang? I am getting conflicted info- are they open from 9-6pm or only for lunch 11-3?

11-3pm Thur-Sun or until they run out of food. This is just temporary until the next phase.

Can I order for togo? I would like to try the sinigang but i live quite far away so i wanna buy a bunch then save jt for later

Yes, I recall a few people ordering to go orders!! The line can be long but worth it.

Do they serve dinuguan there daily or is it a special dish only served once in a while?

Just once in awhile but if you call and ask for Leila she will let you know what day she'll make it

Armed with gift cards from The College Friend, The Homie and I made a spontaneous first visit to the Lynnwood store (9/30/26). I like that it is so well organized, bright, and clean. I really liked the variety of the produce, items for dim sum and hot pot, sauces & spices, snacks, meat & fish areas, cooking gear, and especially the hot food, ready to go entrees/platters, and bakery sections. We visited on a weekday mid afternoon, so parking, shopping, and checkout was easy peasy. There's even onsite seating to enjoy one's paid purchases. We demolished the pork belly and BBQ steamed buns. Interesting to note, there's chopsticks, compostable forks & spoons, straws, but no napkins or paper towels available. Pro tips: download the US based app for more deals, organize your items so checkout is straightforward, bring your own bags (although one can purchase or obtain via accrued points, their branded bags).

There were lots of food places soon as you walk in. I really wanted to stop and get some Yakisoba, but my girlfriends kept going and my tummy was growling. Our first stop was BeanFish. We got a fishy filled with Ube Custard. We needed something savory to eat first so we saved it till we had lunch first. It saved well for 30 minutes till we were done with lunch. For lunch we walked into the grocery store part and got some lunch out of the hot plate area. My girlfriend and I got the mini lunch bowl and my other girlfriend got the BBQ pork and some Tofu skins files with sweet rice. It has a fancy name, but I can't recall what it is. Lunch was superb. I was so filling. Rice, Vegetables, and BBQ pork. So much food in a tiny bowl. The store was amazing. Not only did they have groceries they also had: Gifts, Beauty Products, Generic Seattle Souvenirs, and so much more. I got the cutest dog lanyard. I belive he is a character, but I didn't recognize him. It came with a case with the dog on the back of the badge and a matching lanyard. The badge holder slides out and the badge slides in and then it locks back into place. I can't wait to try it out with my badge. (Update. It fit perfect and you can still electronically badge in with it in the new badge holder) Inside the store was a 2nd store that sells chocolate called Royce. We got one of the last boxes of their chocolate moo cakes for $32.99. I know mooncake season doesn't start till Friday, September 25, 2026 so we're prepared. I've been searching for chocolate moon cakes forever. I didn't grow up with bean mooncakes so they aren't my favorite. A couple of years ago I was introduced to chocolate mooncakes and I totally fell in love. We got the last one at the place and since then I've made it my quest. (Update. I tried them and they are AMAZING.) I also saw some adorable cards that I couldn't live without, but resisted as I make greeting cards myself. So, cute. If you don't make your own cards you have to buy some of these. I wish I had a larger budget and more room in my suitcase as I would buy so much more. Note they have a bathroom, the code is on the bottom of the receipt. It's not the tidiest bathroom, but it's a bathroom so you really can't complain. These could be standalone food stands and I would easily give them 5 stars for the quality and value. Hot food to go - this was self-serve and a large area. Most Asian grocery stores either don't have this or it's not self-serve Ready to eat refrigerated items - savory side dishes, but also dessert items (parfaits, mochi, cakes, pastries) A soup/congee station I think I could wander this store for hours snacking on things and finding products I've never seen before. They sell dukkah (along with other condiments and seasonings) that are hard for me to find, which saves me the time of making them myself. I've also been buying my lamb from them. On July 3, I purchased two packs of lamb chops. One pack was perfectly fine, but the other was clearly spoiled. I still cooked the good pack, but it wasn't enough for everyone to have. I've been cooking lamb for years--I know how it should smell and how it should look. This meat was off. I called the next day to let them know, and they told me they would replace it. I explained that I live over an hour away, so I wouldn't be able to come back until I was in the area again. They assured me they would still honor the exchange. When I came in today, I was met with so much rudeness that I was honestly shocked. I felt embarrassed by the way I was treated. I had really enjoyed supporting this small business up until this point. Because I was so shaken by the interaction, I didn't even realize until I got home that I had originally purchased a six-pack of lamb chops, but I was only given a four-pack in exchange. When I returned the spoiled meat, the woman behind the counter insisted she would "never sell meat like that." I tried to show her the timestamped photo I had taken of the meat when I purchased it, but she refused to even look at it. At one point she said she "didn't know what my deal was," and then suggested it was somehow my refrigerator's fault before asking, rather dismissively, "Well, what do you want?" I'm a very understanding person. When you're selling raw meat, sometimes things happen. Products can spoil. I wasn't looking for an argument--I simply expected for the issue to be handled professionally and with kindness. Instead, I was treated as though I was trying to cause a problem. I'm sure many people will continue to shop here without issue. However, left feeling like I wasn't afforded the same courtesy or respect that other customers might have received. Maybe I would have been treated differently had I looked different. I can't say that for certain, but I also can't think of another reason I was met with such hostility when I approached the situation politely and respectfully from the very beginning. No customer should leave feeling the way I did. The top pack of lamb pictured was perfect. The bottom pack smelled bad and was greenish in person. As you can see via time stamp - I purchased the lamb on the 3rd and began to cook it on the 4th of July.
